“’S good to know, but aye. Been a wee while since I had one of those kinds of people . Wanna stick around, y’know?” Which said quite a bit as far as Cassidy was concerned. He’s had more than his fair share of friends and loved ones, that he’s learned to try to avoid the inevitable pain that is caused by his condition on both sides of the equation more often than not. Friends are easy for the Irishman to make, but to stay…
To say Cass was impressed with Remy’s card trick was an understatement. It reminded him a bit of his own little hobby, to a small degree. It was certainly not quite as clean as Remy’s. “No, mate; your trick’s way, way cooler than any of mine. Trust me. All I do is drink, ‘n do…. uh. Other stuff, an’ not get permanently fecked up. Might die on a real good bender; I’ve givin’ many a coroner a fright, let me tell yeh.” And with that, Cass snorted out a brisk laugh.
His smile fell a little bit as he sighed softly. He then scrunched his nose as he finished his thought, “They never seem to find it as funny as I do, though…”
“Yeah, ya deserve some happiness.” Remy doesn’t know the other very well, but he thinks that everyone should have that happy ending. Even if it was temporary, no one should end up alone. If you find something worth keeping he believes that you should fight of it. Which is why he has been trying SO HARD with Anna over the years. Not that he should talk much when his own love life was a mess now.
There’s a grin when he can see that the other man was IMPRESSED by his trick. “I’m glad ya like it. I’ll show ya some more sometime. If ya ever need somethin’ blown up I’m de one to call.” He could even use just his hands if he had to. “Oh? I’d love t’hear dat story.” He admits wth a laugh of his own.
“Well dat is a shame. I’ll watch de movies wit you.”
