A Villain exists to be defeated by the main character, so they can be A Hero.

A Villain is born when a suitable scapegoat for the above truths is found. A Villain is gestated in the womb of unexamined bias. A Villain is a criminal, a bandit, a cultist, a goblin, a tranny, a thug - anything that can be hated without thought nor guilt by someone who isn't one of those things.
