Making good art feels good but it's not the POINT. You HAVE to draw when it's bad you HAVE to draw when you hate how it looks you HAVE to draw when your hands mangle the picture in your brain because you need to refine your control, you need to strengthen the communication between your brain and your hands.

Do you have any idea how insane it is that we can conjure incredible, surreal, wild and incomprehensible images in our wet fatty beef brains, full of slop and electrical impulses, and then SHOW THAT IMAGE TO OTHERS? Can you even wrap your mind around how wild that is?? That you can have an especially vivid hallucination or dream and then GIVE THAT IMAGE TO OTHERS TO EXPERIENCE?

That's the closest shit we have to telepathy, OF COURSE ITS NOT GONNA WORK GREAT THE FIRST THOUSAND TIMES.

I've been a very good artist for a very long time. Do you think I don't have memories of knowing exactly what I wanted to make, only to be humiliated and frustrated when my hands couldn't keep up? Of course I do! And it still happens! But I'm much much better at it now because my hands and brain talk to each other.

If you're "bad at art" you aren't a bad artist. You're just developing control. It's the same as physiotherapy. You have everything you need to improve and feel better at your own pace and you just need to strengthen those channels.

Not having a job is not a moral failure. Being a "basement dweller" is not a moral failure. Neither is living with your parents or being dependent on your family or partner(s) or being housebound.

Capitalism has tricked you into believing that your only value in this world is how much money you can make for someone else. It has also tricked you into seeing "unproductive" people, especially disabled people, as drains on a society literally built to help take care of them.

Jobless people are not your enemies. Disabled people are not your enemies. Get over yourself.
