What does the “N” in “Frank-N-Furter” stand for?

According to the original Australian 70′s run of the show, Frank’s full name is Francis Norman Furter. 

This was adlibbed by Riff Raff’s actor Sal Sharah when he’s about to blast Frank with the anti-matter beam (”And now Frank-N-Furter, your time has come!”), it was such a hit with the audience it was added to subsequent performances.

Hello Everyone!

Quite a bit has happened since the last time I was ‘truly here’ (a year, I believe). Many good moments, but I also had to face the day I always dreaded would destroy me. And it did. 

Good News:

- My business has grown tremendously and I have employees now - I’m moving in a few weeks to a new apartment while I’m having my current one remodled - I’m leaving for my first vacation in over a year tomorrow

Sad News:

- Kiyote passed away on January 10th. 

We learned he had a heart murmur on the 27th of December and on the 29th, he went into heart failure. He spent two days at an emergency clinic where he was released on the 31st with flying colors. He was doing amazing and everyone was amazed. His bill was over $3,000 but I didn’t care - he was home.        On January 10th, we went to his chiropractor and went in for a checkup on his blood work - he was doing amazing on both accounts.        Later that night, I had trouble with my phone. Kiyote had spent the day in the car with me and I let him inside so I could deal with the service problems outside. Ten minutes later Josh comes home. He lets out the dogs we were looking over at the time and then comes outside looking pale as a ghost. I thought something had happened to one of the dogs or he was just being a goof trying to scare me.       He told me my boy was gone and I threw up and blacked out in the driveway.       They believe he died of a blood clot so he went rather quickly and only moments after I brought him inside, He passed in his home and in front of his food bowl . . . he was happy when he left us

My heart is still broken and I feel it always will be. I’ve come to terms with the reality of it all but I know it’ll never get better - I’ll just force myself to get used to it. 

I just have to tell myself I was fortunate to not be the one who found him. I never saw his dead body directly - just covered in a blanket - and I know if I had, I would have admitted myself. 

I love going to sleep because I’ll have dreams of him. Dreams where he comes back to me. 

But I must carry on, not just for myself but for him. I know he’d be disappointed in me.

I truly am doing well everyone. Hurting terribly inside, but doing well in my career and personal progression

my favorite side effect warning is for antidepressants

pros: you won’t want to kill yourself

cons: you might want to kill yourself

Back when I was in a psychiatric hospital, and was offered antidepressants, my mother had declined them due to that apparent side effect. So the staff actually explained about this effect antidepressants have, that give reason to that warning. When first taking antidepressants they raise up your energy first. So that you have the energy to do the tasks you might have avoided doing due to your depression. Because of this those who were already suicidal, now have the energy to go do so. Which is the ones this warning is given for. It’s not that a side effect of antidepressants magically makes you want to kill yourself, it’s the energy it gives those who were already struggling with suicidal issues, to actually attempt the act.

My high school choir/psych teacher actually told is about this. She also said if you have a suicidal friend who starts seeming like they might be getting better because they have more energy, that’s the time to be cautious because that’s when they may still be suicidal but they’ll actually have the energy to go through with it

JUST GONNA REBLOG THIS AGAIN TO ADD that my younger sister in law recently started on anti-depressants among other medications in juncture with therapy to help handle an extreme case of OCD and anxiety, and I was the one who had to explain this to her. Her doctor only explained the risks, and not WHY they would actually be considered risks, which put her off of taking medication for most of her life. I explained it, and she understood, and THAT is why she is now on medication that is significantly improving her life. DOCTORS NEED TO TELL US THIS SHIT.
