Folly, Pride, Greed, and Knowledge.
I'm thankful for my folly for the excess of mistakes in my repertoire Reasons, and justifications and backtracks in thought traces of pain, avoidance, estrangement behind everything we know] You don't pay attention, you don't want that sorrow, Until you've had it, then that sorrow can easily become addiction. But we're all addicted already, nobody has never known it We think it right to forget, our world kept white as snow The symmetry of our creations and organizations will ascertain that we should do the same Our minds reflect out worlds; visibility that reflects our efficacy We ignore some basic facts about the difference between our creator and us - as creations We create only what we can see and we are blind to what we cannot discern from our creations - therefore, we define ourselves by them we lie, we hide for them we are enamored thoroughly by what is done right compared to what has been done We compare based on deeds and so have fostered greed And in greed lies the descent of anything that can be done for any other sake You can't have meaning through folly if you don't acknowledge it Or folly itself will find your way into your meaning. What I'm trying to say is folly isn't so much folly at all What I'm trying to say is our mistakes only exist because that's what we call them. What I'm not trying to say is that we are all evil and heartless What I'm not trying to say is that any of us have fallen to the point of being lost Learning is life, naturally and simply but we've distorted it to fit our purpose and fixed it to a point of service to achieve, to create, to be great, But what we ignore is the folly in keeping score that's worse than the folly we fear others will see at our core Learning doesn't happen just from greatness it can happen from consequence, a personal thing that has no need to be measured or counted or scored Our missteps are just indications of thought; there are so many possibilities within it that we should hardly expect perfection. We're so afraid! Scared of being wrong and being laid to rest - to rest the life we were impossibly given - without necessary validation. Mistakes are learning! You can't know how things work until they don't. And until then you're just riding through Knowledge you've taken for granted Knowledge from others gained through actions you would've called abominations We started up from the ground like the air and the trees We had to find out way at some point with nothing to go on and that's no shame but still we're so afraid! And no less, we know others do the same But it's taboo, it's something to forget, it's nothing for Pride. Well Pride is nothing for Greed. And Greed is taking Pride in only what others would be Prideful of. Pride is something for Knowledge Knowledge is something for everything. Everything is something for Understanding Everything is neither good nor bad, benign nor malignant, Everything is the mistakes that created Knowledge of the paths we've taken, the ones we can take, everything Possible. Why, how, we think, we do. Greed is taking Knowledge and not using it Greed is being Prideful without Understanding why Pride and Knowledge are possible. Pride is Understanding of Greed. Of course we all fall to it, but Knowledge is being able to use that - to See it in ourselves, to Understand it in others, to know that folly is nothing but a thought we've all had but few have been proud enough to use.
