RANT: It’s sad to see the rpc completely ignore Native faceclaims. The rpc preaches about diversity and being inclusive, but yet they barely acknowledged us. I often see my fellow rphers make fc dictionaries/masterlists and I always check to see if they have any Native fcs, and usually they don’t. On a good day, they maybe have like one or two (always Boo Boo Stewart) and that’s it. And I’m like really, people? I did not make this account to be ignored. Heck, I even made a masterlist of Native faceclaims you can use for your rps. Quit being lazy and expand your horizons.

Midwestern Gothic: Something Lives In The Corn, broken down trucks, gravel roads that lead nowhere, empty gas stations placed between tiny towns with only one attendant who makes too much eye contact but never speaks

Southwestern Gothic: Animal skulls hung from posts, shacks miles into the barren desert that still look lived in but nobody is ever seen around, They Watch From The Mountains, shapeshifting creatures hiding in the brush

she stares — blue eyes flick up to meet holly’s face.  of course it’s a face of concern.  nadia sighs.   ❛ about what? ❜   she pretends there’s noting WRONG although they both know everything is.

        “ i’m not- ”  cutting words off with a grunt, a huff of a breath meant to calm himself.   ‘excited’- ha.   was he really becoming that overbearing?? he’d often teased roman for being the 'helicopter parent’ but was he really any better??   she seems almost let down that no one had bothered to ask and he’s painfully reminded of how much nadia is like her mother. roman and peter hardly did much in the way to help her chances, either- it would be a brave soul who would ask for so much as a date. if she had any hope for a semi-normal, teenage experience…they were gonna have to loosen the apron strings- just a little.         “ how 'bout this? we’ll go find you a dress, shoes- the whole deal. ”   he catches one of her hands in his, squeezing gently.  “ who says you can’t go stag and have a good time without some jerk drooling all over you?? ”

she hides her excitement very poorly, blue eyes bright as they lock with his.  she tries to hold back a grin, fingers carding through blonde tresses similar to an angel’s.     “you don’t have to.”     it barely sounds convincing.  she’s seen all the girls around school talk about how excited they are.  she’s only a teenage girl.  she wants to enjoy things the way a normal teenager would.  there are only very few moments where she can pretend everything is normal for once.

“  ---  alright.  alright, when?”     there’s a sense of pride, taking on the few traits of her mothers that fit her own.

a brief pause as blue eyes narrow.     “skittles? really?”     she’s not buying it.  she’s learned a lot of things from her dad  ---  drugs being one of them.  NO she doesn’t use them...  but she knows about them.  and she knows they can either be pleasant  ---  or really bad.     “i’m good.”     that inkling teenage rebellion builds, however, and she tugs her pink, plush lip between her teeth.     “what are they like, anyway?”
