Anxiety & Helping Someone Cope. I didn’t want to make it overwhelming or too long remember, so I kept it to the main points that benefit me greatly when I’m experiencing an attack. 40 million of Americans alone suffer with anxiety; it’s a horrid feeling when you know someone just wants to help you but you cannot even construct a simple sentence at the time, so please share this in hope that it benefits even just 1 person. Muchos love.
this was very nice but REALLY difficult to read if you have vision or reading problems.
THINK BEFORE YOU BUY POISON!!
I know none of you want to see this but something has to be done! Awareness and education are key!!!
A friend of mine found this great horned owl that had eaten a poisoned rodent and died a slow terrible death.
When you’re setting out poison to kill rats, mice, ect. you’re very well setting poison out to also kill hawks, owls, etc.– basically animals that are “on your side”, helping you to eliminate those rodents.
Poisoned rodents don’t just immediately flop over and die. They’ll slowly stagger around as the poison begins to take effect, making them an easy meal for another animal to grab.
Some people might remember that I’ve posted about this before (the Great Horned owl baby found laying on the ground in April– also found too late to be saved.) This is unfortunately a common tragedy. Many people admire birds of prey, saying how beautiful they are, how they “absolutely love owls”, yet a disturbing amount are unaware that their uneducated/inconsiderate actions are leading to those birds dying an agonizing death as they slowly bleed internally.Someone I know who does wildlife rehabilitation/rescue recently got in a Red-tailed hawk that had consumed poison. They were ultimately unable to treat him, and she wasn’t even in the same room when she heard him gasping and wheezing, dying. For at least 10 years she has treated hundreds, probably thousands of animals and said it was one of the most disturbing things she’s witnessed dealing with wildlife.
Please consider what your actions may lead to. There are safer alternatives. Again, when you put out poison, you’re setting up a death for those that are naturally taking care of those rodents you want gone.
what she says: I'm fine
What she means: How long has Jurassic World been open? How did they reclaim the island from the rogue dinos from the first movie? Are any of the dinos in Jurassic World the ones that have been there all along, just recaptured? Why didn't they clean up the ruins of the original community centre? How did those kids manage to get a Jeep that's been sitting unused for 22 years into working condition at all let alone so fast? How do you even sell an idea like Jurassic World after the events of the first three movies? How was the T Rex in California from the third one spun in the media? What do animal rights activists think of the park? What about conservationists when they're literally feeding endangered sharks to that water thing for entertainment? Do the employees live on-site or are they ferried in every day? Why is a park in Costa Rica staffed exclusively by Americans? How does Costa Rica feel about having an island full of murder-lizards close by? Are the scientists using this gene splicing and cloning tech to save other endangered species? To fight disease? What are the scientific ramifications of the Jurassic World universe? Is 22,000 people a good visitor turnout for a park that size because I feel like they could do better? What does admission cost? Do they have tacky themed resorts like Disney? Why are people literally no longer impressed by fucking DINOSAURS that they need something bigger and scarier? How did they get everyone off the island when the T Rex was still loose? What were they even trying to accomplish with that thing who thought that was a good idea? Dr. Wu you were there in the first one WHY DID YOU THINK THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA? HOW THE FUCK DID CLAIRE OUTRUN A T-REX IN THOSE HEELS?!??
just a heads up
if you are cisgender and arguing with a transgender person about what is or isnt transphobic then you have already lost
if you are white and arguing with a poc about what is or isnt racist then you have already lost
if you are straight and arguing with a queer person about what is or isnt homophobic then you have already lost
if you are part of a majority and arguing with an oppressed group about what is or isnt offensive to the oppressed group then you have already lost and your arguing is only helping to perpetuate oppressive ideals and commentary

i say this again and again but it really blows feeling like you have to be in public with a man in order for other men to leave you alone
it’s not even a feeling it’s a fact like men literally will not leave you alone unless they see that you “belong” to another man already
Feminists posts I’ve seen enough of
1. Posts implying that there is equal pressure to make a dominant choice as there is to make a subversive choice (”we all know it’s OK not to shave BUT DID YOU KNOW IT’S ALRIGHT TO SHAVE???”)
2. Posts implying that if you don’t identify as a feminist you’re a misogynist, completely overlooking the fact that WOC, trans women, disabled women etc. have very good reasons to be wary of feminism
3. Posts implying that feminine female characters in fiction are somehow revolutionary??? What?? Pls bring me to this world where there is apparently proper representation for women who DON’T conform to the cissexist, heteronormative Western constraints of femininity.
4. Posts implying that white, rich cishet female celebrities are the epitome of feminism, because they mentioned the wage gap that one time or something like that.
5. Posts implying that “girl-on-girl hate” is only directed towards feminine girls. Critical thought on feminine things like makeup or dresses is seen as girl hate, but people don’t ever see the hatred of gender non-conforming women as “girl hate”?? And you just KNOW that it is because people assume that girl=feminine, and masculine = not girl.
6. Posts that don’t understand that personal empowerment isn’t the same as furthering the status of a whole group. Posts that don’t understand that what one woman finds “empowering” can actually be harmful to other women, and personal empowerment doesn’t go above everything.
7. Posts implying that calling out all these things is “infighting” and “anti-feminist”, rather than the beginning to the construction of a better, more inclusive feminism.
All of this
*feelin up my own titties bc I can do so and they squishy*
I’m not a shitty person but shitty stuff happens to me so I just get high a lot and hope for the best
