“If anyone is in need for proper attire for this festival, I would be quite happy to provide for you. I assure you, it is no trouble in the least.”
“Are they really having a sword fight over a television?”
Souji had read unusual stories about Black Friday, but Hive City’s version of the event took weird to the next level.
“It is... unfortunate the level of which this world’s material beliefs has evolved. I should... most probably stop them soon.”
“I like the holidays, but the winter carries with it a certain sadness for me too. …It’s natural for humans to associate things like the seasons with loss, I suppose.” When, in the past, you lost the two most important people to you in a single season, it was hard to not bring negative association.
“Indeed, it is easy to associate a certain time. It carries a weight not easily lifted. Even as time passes, it does not make that weight any lighter. It is not just the time either. There are oft other things that bring about remembrance.” Of course, he spoke as well of his own experience. The time of his greatest sin, and his biggest regret. The tragedy his own hands caused. Yet he returned his gaze to the other with a smile across his face.
“Yet that is why we must move forward. Because we remember them, we must continue forward despite the hardship. It is what is best for them, and brings them the most peace in their end. Would you not agree?”

It wasn’t uncommon for her to visit the shrine grounds, as she was a god, after all. Whether it was for nostalgic feelings, or the brief awareness that she, too, was part of divinity, thoughts were all jumbled up that left little to no explanation of her actions.
Perhaps, she simply missed home was the only reason she had in mind.
She looked around the familiar area, taking glances from top to bottom of the structure as she always did. Still having yet figuring out whom this belonged to, she was momentarily interrupted by a voice that came from her side. Turning her head by the sound of it (or him, rather), she blinked in disbelief, an old face in which she recognized immediately.
His name was meant to be heard from open lips, but she lowered her head instead, scoffing, not at him, but at the works of fate.
“I would agree, although many times has this city made me question about whom they paid respect to.
But despite that, I see you are back… Faust.”
A small laugh came from Faust at the god’s words. Coming from her, to him, a believer in Jehovah, her comment was quite amusing. However it would make sense. Like the power of many magics, he assumed the power of a god came from belief. Perhaps that was what let his be the being of power He was.
“I would say belief in and of itself is a good thing. Different people will believe in different things. Even if it is not what you do, it is what gives them strength to continue forward. I believe that is to be respected.”
The world consisted of many beliefs; Christianity, Judaism, Shintoism, Norse, Greek, there were uncountable numbers of systems of beliefs. And in each was many more differing beliefs. Even Demons had worship and authority, enough that a devout believer of God could be tempted into contracting with them,
But above all these ideas of belief, there was one thing he was more sure than any to believe in.
“It has been quite some time. but yes, I have been returned here. I am... uncertain if it is for better or worse. However, I am quite grateful to be able to have met you once again.”
“Mayushii is housed in apartment p-6. She was there earlier, but she wanted to explore, so she came here.” She couldn’t remember the last time she had held someone’s hand with such reckless abandon. She was a fan of physical contact, so to meet someone who shared the same tendencies made her heart beat contentedly. “Before Mayushii forgets and asks anything else, what is your name? Mayushii’s is Shiina Mayuri.”
“I see, then we may skip that. As long as you know a place you may return to, then it’s fine.”
Ah, how rude of him? Asking one to take his hand without as much as speaking his name, perhaps he was more tired than he thought. The time back in his world had taken much away from him, and he shuttered to believe manners were one of them.
“Yes, of course, forgive me for not doing so sooner. My name is Faust. It is a pleasure Mayuri.” he spoke, choosing the later later name to call her due to her third person speech. Of course he realized that it seemed to be a combination of both of her names, he simply chose the one that lead the way she called herself.
“I’ve been in this city for quite some time- or, I had been I should say. If your wish is exploration, I can show you quite a bit. I wish to reacquaint myself as well, so please, if you have anywhere you wish to go in mind, let me know. I shall make sure to show you as quickly as possible.”

Faust had spent quite some time thus far revisiting old areas. Some had changed, some had not. He had seen some faces of those he had previously known, yet there were still many who alluded him. Were they even still here? He had no idea in honest. They could have been whisked away as he had been. Yet that did not stop him from trying.
Whether by the wings of fate, the wheel of fortune, or simply coincidence however it was not long until he had laid eyes on one such person. A small laugh escaped his mouth, not enough to be heard by many, simply out of enjoyment. Here he had come to this small shrine, nothing more than to see it was still standing, yet here was the place he had found her.
Right in the place their first meeting had occurred.
With small footsteps, not meant to be hidden yet still quiet themselves, he moved to stand beside her. Had she noticed him already, he was uncertain. But soon, standing next to her, he spoke.
“It is a relief to know that there are still those here who respect those of divine power. Wouldn’t you agree, Bishamon?”
· · ·“Uwaaaaah, those lines almost sound like they’re from an anime!” She responded, fascination making itself clear in her voice. She couldn’t help but think Okarin and this character would get along well, considering they both spoke about complicated and fantastical things she didn’t quite understand.·
· · ·However, she was not adverse to learning, and she was always ready to form new relationships. Though it took her a moment to realize what he was extending his hand for, she took it gently, stepping forward so she could observe his features more carefully.·
A short laugh followed the words of the girl; not mocking, it was simply an interesting idea. In fact, it was nostalgic even, as from those words he pictured a certain boy two years prior. Before all that had come. An innocent, perhaps even naive, view. It was not comical; simply refreshing to him.
With her warm hand in his, he returned a smile of the same temperature. There were many things to worry about in this city, he certainly wouldn’t lie if she asked, but he would make she found her way safely.
“I suppose the first question would be have you been to your assigned home yet? All other aspects may wait; to have a place to return to when fatigued should always been the starting point.”
“Ah, this city never changes does it....” Faust spoke to himself as he sprayed a small fire a fire extinguisher. It was no where near as large as ones that had come before.
“I should have it cleared in a moment.” he said to the winged woman behind him, as he continued to spray the blaze. “There should be no problem- ah, it was Ari, correct? I do not believe we were acquainted last I was here, yet your name is among the more spoken of the city. Or, it was at least.”
The fact that he can understand what she’s saying is more than enough of a comfort. He’s the first she’s met here. ❝ Seven languages, really? Wow! That’s incredible, I only know two and I’m not that good at the latter… ❞
❝ Um–! I’m Marinette and it’s really great to meet you too, more than you know, really. I was afraid that you wouldn’t understand me–as no one else seemed able to–but now I feel really happy! ❞
“Do not feel bad about it. Language is not a simple task to conquer, fluency even harder. To simply grasp what the words of another is something to take pride in.” he spoke confidently to the girl. It truly was impressive of her to be well versed in multiple languages at what seemed a younger age. To think that there were still those who cared for knowledge in the modern world, it was a thought that warmed his heart.
“My name is Faust. Please, put your worries aside. I am certain there will be many who would adore to speak languages other than this with you. Even in this strange world, you will never be truly alone. Especially not in the pursuit of greater knowledge, even if it is only in one area.”
The fact he had responded in such a friendly manner managed to make her relax, even if only it was a bit. Blonde hair and blue eyes seemed to be an ongoing trend with the characters she came across. Maybe they were angels? If not for the strange room that she had woken up in upon her arrival, she was sure she would have been more at ease, what with all the kind people around. “That’s right! It’s Mayushii’s first time here, so maybe she doesn’t understand all the rules…do you know what country this place is?” It wasn’t Japan or America-that was for sure.
Ah, so she was new. It was always difficult for those dropped in recently to understand the city. And for her to be alone at night, that wasn’t good. Even more so considering she was from a similar world as his, if not the same, by her naming countries.
It seemed his reexploarion would have to wait.
“I have seen many places of Earth; both physical and spiritual. You will not find this among any of them, nor them among any of this. The world you knew is more than a fair distance from this one. You would do best to forget the rules you knew of that world, few if any truly apply here.” he said with a slightly serious expression.
He was not wishing to scare her however, so he quickly returned to a gentle smile, reaching out his hand to her.
“If you wish to learn however, I would not be aversed to teaching you what I know of it. It can be quite hard for a newcomer to get by on their own.”
❝ Vous ne seriez pas en mesure de parler français , diriez-vous? ❞
@godspapyrus !
“Why yes, I can actually. I can speak several languages in fact, however this city seems to prefer this one, so I’ve stopped trying to fight it. I’m impressed to see another who can speak languages aside from that defaulted one though. It’s a pleasure to meet another versed in language.”
“Hm. Impressive, I’m quite amazed.” he said, looking at the literal mountain of newspapers from the months he had been away.
“Connor’s only broken 306 laws since I’ve been away. He’s cutting back it seems.”
@godspapyrus
Considering how late it was, she really shouldn’t be out, but she was restless at “home”. The bare room did little to soothe her frazzled nerves, and the lack of familiarity with the people and setting was discomforting. With nobody to reinforce curfew, she ventured out into the night, the soft hum of traffic her only companion. According to the map, the park should be around here…That’s when she discovered a boy, and one who looked to be her age, no less! Approaching ever so cautiously, she mustered the courage to call out, “Good evening!”
It had been some time since Faust had been in this city. Much had occurred for him in that time; and it had seemed time had passed here as well. With this city, things could change in a moment. In months? He shuttered to think how different it might be. He would not be able to get a particularly good view of the setting with people around, so he waited until night to begin his reevaluation of the area. With sleep a far off concept to him, it was not an ill advised idea either.
Not too long into his walk however, he’d heard a voice. Perhaps it was that familiarity of the place, the peace relative to his own world, but he had not noticed her until her call. He had let his guard down; however perhaps that was a good thing after the two years since he had been here..
“Ah, hello. I apologize for not noticing you. Might I be of any assistance to you? This world can be quite a maze, and even more at night.”
“Ah, I see I’ve returned for a festival for Hallow’s Eve. I wish I had had time to prepare a costume. It might have been fun...”
//okaaaaay, it’s been a while since this boy’s been around, and I’m excited to have him meet some new people, but I also want him to meet up with his old friends that are still around too so,
If you’d like to do a thing, like this for a starter. I’ll cap it at 5, however substantial relationships from before will be allowed passed the cap! Also allowed passed it is anyone who is an angel. (literally, don’t get creative =P)
Ah well, despite his muse being back a fair bit and all my attempts to write, unfortunately Faust just doesn't want to work with other people. So, for the time being, I'm going to be dropping him. I doubt this will be forever honestly, but a break from him at the very least might help make it easier to play him again. So thank you all for helping me play him for so long and spread word of the obscure Korean series he is from. It's been a blast!
Wow that was long. That was really long. But anyway, now for a few words from myself
I am really sorry for Faust's inactivity. In fact today, not realizing his challenge had arrived 3 days ago (thanks tumblr -.-), I actually logged on to drop him because of muse loss. But this, this cchallengebrought him back in SO many ways. I am still going to be slow, that's who am I am. But now I am going to try to do all these drafts quickly, since Faust is back for me with power. Thank you all for bearing with me in this down time of Faust,
