"Hey Winchester, don't forget this"he hold up the book with raise eyebrow. Hades could of went through it. But he was a god, he seen things, knowns things. Hell he was there when most things were created. The dog was at his heals happily looking around.

Dean was grumbling to himself, half way to his car when he stopped. Winchester? so the cat was definitely out of the bag, was it even in the bag with this guy? hell who knows.

Turning slowly a serious expression met the strange man and the care free pup. Shock and embarressment washed over the hunter when he noticed the journal, Johns journal in his hand. Realising he must have left it he kicks himself. What an idjit.

" Oh? yeah - " he musters up some fake laughter " - thanks buddy, This is going to sound crazy but you a friend of my dads or somethin'? "

Hopefully that's all this was and this ghost hunt was back on.

"Cerberus is good boy, he didn't want to stay home" Hades pat the head of the dog and turned attention to Dean. He Hellhound slept peacefully, shown not to be bigger than a small puppy. It amused him greatly. " So.. hows the case" it came out of nowhere, but wasn't like he didn't know who the Winchesters were. He knew about John, and Dean, hell even Sammy.

His mind now filled with questions, the usual 'who are you' and 'how do you know me' but also 'was this a friend of Johns' Dean didn't know everyone his father knew, in fact the hunter knew almost nothing of that man but the lessons he taught, the childhood he stole and the son he became bodyguard too.

Dean tried to laugh it off, drinking the last of his beer. Maybe it was just time to go? seems his ghost had left anyway and this casual conversation had a edge to it, a subtle one but a lingering sense of a threat coming.

Without another word directly to the stranger Dean settled his bill and made his way back to baby, parked just out front and in clear view of the glass door.

In his rush though Dean left his father's journal sitting on the counter. Big mistake.

" Actually, Ma'am I'll have what he is having" he nods to Dean's plate and gives the waiter a smile. The god looked past the stares, he was use to it after all. As soon as the beer laid before he him took sip, and closed his eyes.

Dean almost choked as the smell of decay hit him but he managed through it. He knew that smell, in his line of work it never gets easy but it sure as hell gets recognisable.

Subtly the hunter turns to catch where this rancid fragrance was coming from, lucky for him it was coming straight for the empty space next to him. Dean held the beer by hip lips to try and burn the alcohol into his nose but you can only do that for so long until it gets noticeable.

Dean really wanted that pie. Homemade, extra whipped cream, plenty of cherries. But hell even he couldn't stomach food right now.

" Hey, ah, buddy, did you work at the morgue or somethin' ? " Okay it was meant to come across casual but Dean could see the potential rudeness and braced a little. He still needed to be in this town after all at least until his job was done.

On the road so far Dean had managed to loose the ghost he was hunting. With Sammy off getting an education and his father away again Dean took odd hunting jobs near by.

This ghost was thought to be the usual type, salt ring, rock salt, Iron, bones burnt kind of easy but this was tethered to something else and Dean was low on ideas and to make his situation more interesting the ghost just wouldn't show up.

Frustrated he started his hunt from the beginning, treating it like a new case. That meant extending his stay here in the worlds emptiest town. Like most small towns across America this one had the classic diner that's never been repainted, the stores all had discounts and everyone knew everyone. Dean hated it.

But the beer was fine and the pie homemade so he wasn't at a total loss. After paying for another week he made his way to that very same diner to get something food related and maybe talk to another person about his ghost.

He sighed.. sometimes he wished he wasn't a god.

Dean blinked and nodded a bit. Hades. He was at the Wayward. Had him driven himself here? “I don’t..I don’t remember coming here. Is my car okay? I didn’t wreck it or anything?” Dean murmured quietly.

At the mention of Cerbus, he went ghostly pale, memories of a hellhound ripping him to shreds coming to mind. “H-hellhounds? Fuck. Fuck I gotta get outta here.”

He struggled to sit up. “Fuck..” His time was up. Dean should have known better.

"Hey no its not hell hound.. its puppy" he pointed to black lab at his feat. " Really Think I have three headed dog, nah its just a puppy"

"You're car is fine and clean.. you lost a lot of blood now lay down before you make it worse" he says in worried tone.

Puppy. It was a puppy. Dean let out a breath and lay his aching body back against the sheets. A sheen of sheet dotted his forehead and he was panting.

As he entered the room, it got eerily quite. His black leather boots foot steps echoed on the wooden floor as shadow of man stood in front of the class room. " Hello" he said in deep gruffy voice. Dean just frowned again. He didn’t really think he was worth all that but hey. Maybe this guy knew more than he did. He sipped the drink, both hands wrapped around the cup and it warmed him from the inside out.
