Any tips for taking care of and styling 4c hair?
Try the LOC method: liquid, oil, cream
Basically you take your favorite leave in, I use Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil Intensive Repair Masque (it’s supposed to be a deep conditioner but I use it as a leave in because I find that those “water based” leave ins are useless), apply it to your hair. Then you applu oil, I use Jamaican Black Castor Oil or Creme of Nature Argan Oil Day and Night Hair and Scalp Conditioner (it’s old fashioned hair grease with a long name). And then finally use some shea butter to seal in the moisture. I do it every time I wash and my hair feels great. In between washing I use Sunny Isle Jamaican Black Castor Oil Leave in Knot Free Forever Detangler and Conditioner. It’s very important to not comb or brush your hair when it’s bone dry. I used to use Fantasia IC Shea Butter Spray which is just fancy afrosheen. I still have it. I may try it again. I can’t remember if I liked it. I must have since I didn’t throw it out.
You should wash your hair no more than once a week unless you have dandruff. I use random shampoo and conditioner. I like getting products from Marshall’s but since Marshall’s is closed I’ll probably go back to Suave Shea Butter shampoo and conditioner.
Ask for styling I never style my hair. I always wear afros. There’s a lot of really cute things you can do with 4c hair but I’m lazy. I dye my hair or shave my head for fun. Or wigs. Wigs are great. Be careful with youtube. The natural hair community is super colorist so you might get information that only pertains to curly 3c hair
Disregard all of this. The nappy hair community has gone back to water and grease and so will I

water is a human right. water should be free, at all times, no conditions. all cities should provide public access to free and clean drinking water, toilets, showers, sinks, and soap.

you weren’t a “well behaved” child you had anxiety and were terrified of conflict
“a pleasure to teach” on the report card meant obedient to a fault, a constant need to be perfect to keep “a pleasure to teach” on the report card, realizing you weren’t as perfect a student as you thought when school got tough, and your perfectionism and paralyzing fear of “getting in trouble” is so deeply ingrained in you that you procrastinate everything because if it isn’t perfect, you shouldn’t try at all

MAY DAY (MAY 1ST) DO NOT CROSS THE PICKET LINE. NO AMAZON. NO INSTACART. NO TARGET. NO WHOLE FOODS.
these companies are making RECORD PROFITS while their workers are dying from being on the job. boycott them on may 1st. the power of our efforts lies in the efforts of the working class.
All I see today on tv are ads for these companies so they know what’s going on
Don’t give them your money
