1) pigtails aren’t long enough to “pull on” anymore

2) her bangs are more choppy and fun rather than seductively “framing her face”

You see this is what people should be talking about when they say it’s a character’s “choice” to dress a certain way. Skimpy clothing doesn’t have to scream “I’m here for you to consume” it can be “I’m wearing this because it’s fun and whether you like it or not isn’t my problem”

Also we all know Harley is a disaster bisexual and that gloriously hideous outfit is perfect for her

I think there’s also something subtle about her expression, like in the first one it looks like “I’m gonna eat you for breakfast  ;)” but the second says “I’m having fun, but if you fuck with me I will gut you like a fish :)”

her expression in the first looks purposefully sexual, posed, intentionally meant to cater to the viewer. in the second one she actually looks so happy! she’s having fun! enjoying the moment for herself instead of self-conciosly posing.

it’s screwed up how basic human expressions like smiling get turned into yet another obligation to perform for the male gaze
