sometimes   it’s   easier   to   let   her   actions   speak   instead   of   words.    she   knows   empty   promises   &   declarations.    how   easy   they   were   to   believe   &   how   empty   they   left   her   in   the   end.    she’s   used   to   showing   it   with   other   kinds   of   actions.    let   me   fix   that   for   you,   being   a   prime   example.    usefulness   only   her   where   her   skills   are   concerned.    but   sometimes   she’s   able   to   reach   out   and   offer   comfort.     she   knows   jace   isn’t   used   to   them,   but   she   considers   it  a   victory   when   he   doesn’t   pull   away   and   instead   leans   in.    even   if   he   deflects   at   first.    she   familiar   with   that   too,    having   done   it   times   before.    “    shut   up.   ”     she   huffs   out,    with   no   anger   or   annoyance   behind   her   tone.    quite   the   opposite   as   the   corner   of   her   lips   tug   upwards.     he’s   slowly   leaning,   reassuring   her   with   the   touch   on   her   thigh   that   he’s   okay   with   it.
