Funny gio ask! Make an AU for your muse where they still fill their same 'canon' role, but have the opposite personality - for example, if they're a funny comedic villain they remain an antagonist but they act way more serious and cruel. What would change? Would their goals and relationship stay the same? Do you think they'd have an easier or harder time?

Bonus points if you don't make their opposite too 'obvious'!

// Opposite Flowery? Ahaha oh boy. Canon Flowery is an outrageously positive and annoying anime boy. His ragebaiting serves a purpose to challenge the convictions of our main characters. So I think Opposite!Flowery would start as a... calm, edgy, serious mentor figure who guides you through Flower Kingdom. He still wants to keep Asgore trapped inside the Dark World. Maybe Asgore is secretly kept prisoner inside the castle, for what Flowery thinks is his own good.

And at the end Flowery would pull the carpet out from under you, exposing his bitter, resigned, obsessive true self. He's not willing to let Asgore go. He has to fight you, violently, because there is no peaceful option. He would highlight the cruelty of the fun gang's actions: by closing the Flower Kingdom fountain, you are killing the flowers. And Flowery is not so willing to let his friends give up their lives for your sake.

At the end, Kris or Ralsei are forced to cut him down, something Flowery suspected would happen the entire time. Prophecy made manifest because he gave them no other choice.

they are twirled in place by the sort of force that should not have physically been able to spin them in such a manner, yet here they are, dizzy and suddenly facing the man they had so stubbornly been ignoring a second ago.

frisk stumbles, steadying themselves.

"followed a road," they respond, blinking hard. frisk's gaze flickers over the wannabe human with growing curiosity -- he seemed like a darkner, but there was something off about the way he carried himself, at least from what little they had seen of him. and it wasn't the inexplicable voice lines, either.

their question is as charming as the rest of them.

"what are you."

🌻 Their chagrin does not dampen Flowery's apparent glee. "My name's Flowery. Flowery the human." His introduction is emphasized by his own voice (somehow) and a reasonable amount of sparkles. "Just like you." Except he can tell this isn't a normal human, just like they can tell he's not a normal human either. Flowery has more knowledge of humans than the average Darkner, which isn't a lot, but it's enough. A flower's intuition is never wrong. "You wanna come to the diner, champ? Get served some of Green's flapjacks fresh off the gridle? They're kind of a big dill around here, heh." One thing is for certain: this young human can't be allowed to wander Flower Kingdom on their own.

And I SAAAAID this was going to be a SFW BLOG, DAMNIT! But I like you. So we're going to have a scientific discussion about my perverse monster!Flowery and all his traits.

To be honest, 90% of the time I don't imagine Flowery acting in a sexual or suggestive way. He's a benevolent, wholesome, family-friendly jackass. But flowers are the reproductive organs of a plant, designed to attract other species to help pollinate them, and I'm going to utilize that fact to its fullest. All of the flowers, but especially Flowery, have some level of control over their physical appearance. They are sapient plants masquerading as humans in the Dark World. Most of the time Flowery looks like a completely normal guy. So... what triggers the breakdown of his natural poise? I don't have a specific answer. I'm going to say it's a mixture of heightened emotions, either an overload or a severe deficiency of magical energy/nutrients, and seasonal factors. You better believe we're sexualizing pollen season now. The design is inspired by a mix of plant, insect, and monster traits. I could've given him actual flower petal hair too but I was too lazy. The eyes are from Omega Flowey. Expressive ears like butterfly wings. His tongue is kinda like a bee's tongue, very long and flexible and specialized for consuming liquids. He sheds pollen and pheromones from his hair. It smells like a honey locust in bloom (my favorite flower). Sweet, heavy, and intoxicating. More like something you'd want to eat or drink than a stuffy perfume. DELICIOUS! Flowery's bodily fluids (his saliva, vascular fluid, uh, "nectar", et cetera) are clear or gold-tinted, viscous, and taste sweet and refreshing. His fingers can extend into dexterous vines for grabbing and holding. Okay, so. Flowery is dualsex. I don't think the flowers can actually reproduce in the Dark World, but Flowery is emulating a human's body plan and wants to be capable of everything a human is, including sex. He has an organ for being penetrated and an organ for penetrating. You already know what it looks like. He's at his most needy and primal in his monster form, desiring to either expel excess energy or consume it, depending on the circumstances. This includes sexual energy.

  The golden flower's arrival in Castle Town has been.. Interesting. To say the least. And Calypso's feelings on the matter have been quite mixed. On one hand, she could not stand the over-perfectionism by which the other presented himself. He never seemed to say the wrong thing, not did he ever have an hair out of place. Which is.. really nothing special! She could easily be flawless too! In fact, it has never been an issue for her!

  On the other hand, though? Having somebody else taking over the whole.. anime shenanigans? Angel above, she was grateful. Deep down, she knew that no matter how hard she tried she'd never fully be able to detatch herself from who she used to be.. back in the VHS. But now that she got the chance to at least attempt to do.. more? Try new genres? Yeah. A break is what she desperately needed.

  She was actually planning to go hang out at the café today, like she used to every evening. Maybe perform one of her latest songs! However, the moment she walked out of the door of her room—there he was. In the hallway. He actually startled her, truth be told.

            ❝ Ah—! Hey, uh.. Flowery! Is your room not ready yet? ❞

🌻 Castle Town is no Flower Kingdom, but for now it'll have to do. Part of Flowery's acclimation is his self-guided introduction tour. He wants to meet the Darkners and see what Kris and their friends have built here. That magical blue woman looks about as human as a flower, which is significant in a place like this.

It's just like Flowery to pop up in someone's path like a jumpscare weed. He's grinning as usual when Calypso nearly bumps into him. "Heh, not quite. The furniture takes time to grow in." He may be brimming with flower power, but unfortunately most of his energy is dedicated to healing after being bisected by the Knight. But that's not what he's here to talk about. "Where are you headed on this magical evening, princess?" He tilts his head and extends a hand like a man delivering a soliloquy. "Mind if I accompany you on your journey?"

🌻 A magical wind is enough to snuff out the pyromaniac's attempt at a bush fire. "Hey, I'm all for foraging your own path in life, little buddy, but why not try asking the grass to move first?" Flowery plants a hand on the human's shoulder and spins them around with a flourish, pointing them away from the charred grass. "There's hipper places to hang out in Flower Kingdom. How'd you get out here, anyway?" It's not every day he comes across a human in the Dark World.
