Okay so this is a more official post now that most of the important content has been moved over to the new blog.  I am archiving goldenhaircd soon. From then on, you will find me on @goldenvelleity, where I will be highly selective.

This blog ended up overwhelming me. I have over a thousand followers, half of them probaly inactive, but this is still a scary number that makes you feel lonely. I feel like I have too many followers, too many asks in my inbiox, too many old threads, too many mutuals I never talk to, too much of everything.  I am making myself crazy with the pressure I give myself, trying to impress people, and this is something i need to stop.. Therefore, i decided to call it a quit. I will restart on this new blog, only follow people I can actually thread with and to enforce this, actually write greeters for mutuals. So if you don’t see me following back right away even though we were mutuals there, just gently nudge me, it’s either i have much on my plate rn or i don’t actually know how to start an interaction. also, this writing starters for everyone will force me to be actually selective, and I will actually have a dash full of people i have spoken to before. I hope it will make me feel more comfortable than this blog here

also, i will still be checking this blog regularly until the move is complete, including old threads that will be carried over to the new blog.

      “This is going to be amazing! You will not regret it!” She was mildly amazed Trauer had agreed to go to the theater in the first place. Maybe they tried to understand her love for human technologies and culture. Though Janna rarely ever went to the movies instead of just waiting for a release on netflix and similar services, this one was… special. 

      The theater was crowded, even though she had picked a rather small town on purpose. After reading about it on a blog, she’d decided she needed to watch it as well, for a good reason too. Surely Trauer would understand.

    “Wonderwoman is not just any movie about superheroes. For the first time, there is a big budget movie about a female superhero. I know that this is nothing to us, but an important milestone towards equality between men and women in human societies. Believe me, I have known times when men believed a woman should not even be able to read or else she would already get too unmanageable. Can you believe how awful that was? This movie we are about to watch is culturally and socially important and empowering young girls everywhere that not only boys can be heroes.”

    Part of him, despite having ASKED the question, was well aware of the answer. In fact, the very words that left her lips were suspicions that had long since crossed his mind; of COURSE he needed time. Loss was dealt with only through such, and even then never FULLY recovered from. He wondered, then, if his pressing into the issue hadn’t been for Varric’s sake, but Janna herself.

    Cullen couldn’t pretend to know–NO ONE could–what such an experience had been like for any who suffered the tumble into the rift. He’d not asked for too close of detail, noticing from the moment they had set foot back on STABLE ground that they were shaken beyond belief.

    Yet, despite it all, Janna stood ever so STRONG; that beacon of hope the Inquisition kept needing to be brighter with each day.

    Carefully, his eyes focused on hers–on the steady gaze she held after choosing her words. Cullen cleared his throat. “And… you, Inquisitor?” He paused, eyebrows gently furrowing. “You’ve held stronger than MOST–though commendable, I must ask: Are you ALRIGHT?”

    By any small degree.

     Something within stirred. A part of her still yearned to be understood, to know someone cared. Most people were satisfied as long as she still stood, capable of living up to expectations, able to go on ever so strong and proud as they knew her. Didn't anyone care what the Inquisition did to her? Didn't anyone care to make sure she was not going to collapse under the weight of the world on her shoulders? For a brief moment, her facial expression softened and for a second, she almost looked grateful he asked.

   "I.... My Faith gives me the strength to go on. I must." Though she appreciated the question genuinely - and yet at the same time, she felt as though she needed to stand strong in front of him too. Cullen battled his own demons, he needed not be burdened with her own as well. Though he was certainly a man she probably could trust, she felt as though he, too, needed a strong beacon of faith spearheading the Inquisition.

    "I like to believe the Maker only burdens us with as much as we truly can bear, if our faith in him and ourselves is strong enough."

    “I knew I could trust you to take care of everything while I am gone. Still, I am happy to be back, I hope there has not been too much trouble during my absence?”

  Overnight, the queen had disappeared without trace, rumors started to rise up soon - did the foreign advisor kill or otherwise incapacitate her to rule in her stead? Was the Queen maybe pregnant and would need to stay away to give birth in secret? Such and other rumours started to rise up at the small court of the young Queen. A soft-spoken woman of great beauty, one who recently started taking the advise from a foreign man... one who was not trusted, and as a consequence, it appeared that the Lords seemed to lose trust in her as well. In this world, a woman needed so much more than a pretty face to survive among men who would see her anywhere, as long as it was far away from any real power.

   Yet she was back now, carrying her with the same grace as always, kindly ignoring the surprise in some faces she met on her way to the frenchman. There he was. Janna placed one hand against his upper arm softly.

     “I need to show you something. Before my departure, I mentioned I have an idea... I want to hear your opinion first, though I assure you, a more brilliant plan this world has not seen before.”

  “Vladivostok is in russia, is it not? Ah, it has been too long since I have been there for the last time! Russia still had an Emperor back then! Alexander the Second… A good man, I mean, for royal Standards, I would say… I danced so much at court! I loved the dresses too. Much more my style than central Europe at that time!”

        She moved gracefully, as if she was dancing with an imaginary partner, for a few seconds, she seemed lost in the memory of a place that will never see its old glory come back, people who died so long ago - ah, she found herself missing these times! She grew nostalgic over things other people only knew from stories and movies nowadays.

     “I still have a couple of letters and personal items from my time at the Emperor’s court and I will not mind showing you some of these, if you are interested. Also, I should go to Russia again at some point in the near future. I wonder how much it changed since then.”

petition  to  kill  the  stigma  that  shipping  should  be  looked  down  on  or  considered  less  than  other  writing  subjects.  i  see  it  all  the  time  on  my  dash,  on  blogs,  in  tags,  “this  blog  isn’t  just  for  shipping!!”  or  “i  don’t  mean  just  romantic!!”  and  even  i  catch  myself  all  the  time  writing  apologies  for  reblogging  something  related  to  shipping  or  talking  about  shipping  on  my  own  blog,  like  it’s  something  to  be  ashamed  of.  and.  i  think  that’s  stupid.  i’ve  had  more  development  with  my  muses  through  their   relationships with  others  than  any  other  avenue  of  development.  ships  help  SO  MUCH  in  shaping  a  character’s  personality,  determining  how  they  act  in  situations  with  different  people.  like,  i  don’t  know  why  we  all  have  to  make  such  a  big  deal  about  shipping.  i  like  to  ship.  i  like  to  write  ships.  i  like  to  write  romantic  ships  and  i’m  not  sorry  about  it.  and  nobody should  make  you  feel  like  you  should  be sorry  about  it.

and if people just write simply for ships, there’s nothing wrong with that either!

      “The White Gold Tower has only been constructed after your banishment, hasn’t it?” They had landed on a plateau overlooking the Colovian Highlands, though even from here, one could see the Tower, albeit faintly, faraway like the head of a needle. Home. This was her home, this was meant to be hers. 

    Gracefully, she slipped off Odahviing’s back and stepped closer to Alduin. Though she did not intend to have him with her during her first round of negotiations with the Emperor, she knew he would be nearby, terrorizing the local wildlife, most likely. Odahviing and Ziishul would come with her, certainly two dragons would be more than enough to get the message across after all. With Alduin’s support on her side for now, she could no longer back away from her path, and she assumed he would prefer to go for fire and blood right away first.

          “I used to look around and wonder… when did it fall apart? What happened to the great empire of Tiber Septim that stretched from Alinor to Solstheim, from Northpoint to Lilmoth? Now I know the answer. When the last emperor of Septim blood died, they also lost the favour of Akatosh…”  Her hands were folded in front of her, back upright, head held high - every inch an empress, in this moment. 

            “Once I am empress, we will lay to waste the palaces of Alinor… so no Altmer will ever again do as much as dare to consider acting up against the Empire. For each Imperial civilian who lost their life in the Great War, three thalmor soldiers shall be slain. You shall have your feast of dissidents and warmongers.”

    “I haven’t seen this one in centuries… Or even thought about it, really.” A precious piece of jewelry, a pendant of intricate jewels on a modest golden chain. Clearly, it was old, yet it still looked as charming as it must have been centuries ago when she first had obtained it on one of her journeys to the human world. She sat in front of a large oaken chest, decorated with intricate carvings of vines, flowers and different symbols. Inside, she kept jewelry as well as other items, though most of them did not bear the passing of time well. Most writings she would need to scan or copy by hand to make sure they were not fully lost. Back then, she had not thought of the possibility that time could do something to the letters and poems she decided to keep.

        Curiously, her index finger traced the center piece, a large emerald, then she handed it over to him, in case he wished to examine it as well, take a closer look.

     “I was in Italy when I received this, from Lord Idelbrando Visconti … I was having a great time there, until one of his friends fell in love with me as well, asked for my hand in marriage and… I don’t bore you, do I?”
