If you’re going to get a cat, you must understand two things:

1. As far as a cat is concerned, the highest form of entertainment is annoying another cat on purpose.

2. If you have a good rapport with your cat, you count as another cat.

You can divert much of this behaviour by getting two cats, so that they can annoy each other, but tradeoff is that sometimes they’ll decide to team up on you instead.

The upside here is that it means that you are morally justified in also annoying them, which is very fun.

He can't get close enough

I've been feverish and vomiting and just generally feeling Very Bad and goldfish has halted his kitten crimes to curl up next to me all day 🥺 he's such a sweet boy so far

I love when kittens decide to go crazy go stupid and the best course of access is just to hide your feet and have a feather toy ready. keeps me on my toes.

Animal death TW

So apparently the shelter that Goldfish's littermates were left at caught fire last night. It started in the cat area, so almost all the cats and kittens either died in the flames or are being hospitalized in critical condition.

I wish I could've taken all of them. I'm so glad I saved this one.

The Baby Area is getting increasingly elaborate. I will give more and better pictures later, the baby's asleep....

(It is so nice that you can take advantage of vertical space with kittens. Next time I'm getting a taller playpen.)
