tone  sounds  so  familiar,  but  this  time  it’s  directed  at  him,  not  by  him  to  someone  else.  a  SMALL  FROWN  forms  upon  brow,  eyes  trained  on  now-shut  book  as  if  trying  to  absorb  its  information  through osmosis.  ❛     mm,  ❜  chris  murmurs,  ponyboy’s  tone  making  him  take  note  of  the  situation  ( headache  probably  forming  due  to  frustration,  stubbornness,  &  possible  dehydration !  ).  ❛     nah,  ain’t  anythin’  you  can  ———-  a  lie  down  might  be  good.    ❜  not  like  he  gives  his  body  enough  chance  to  recuperate  of  a  night  time.  ALWAYS  SPREADING  HIMSELF  THIN.  it’s  a  wonder  chris  has  come  this  far,  considering  where  he  started  .  .  .  but  then  again,  SPITE  is  always  a  good  motivator.  ❛     might  end  up  fallin’  asleep  on  you,  though,     ❜  he  admits.  ❛     ——-  not,  like,  on  you  on  you,  but  just  .  .  .  y’know.  yeah.     ❜

             steps  back  ,  not  digging  sounding  like  eldest  -  not  even  if  it  comes  with  reminder  of  father  .  mom  was  always  the  soul  he  digged  being  compared  to  !  like  when  sodapop  was  !  there  go  rosy  lips  plumping  ,  pout  in  full  display  at  murmur  from  chambers  boy  .  too  late  to  apologize  ?  boy  contemplates  and  decides  that  sound  of  silence  is  best  option  -  allows  it  to  slide  away  into  rest  .  arms  moving  back  to  his  own  being  ,  they  cross  atop  jacketed  chest  ,  and  pony  scoots  over  on  the  bed  .  make  self  at  home  ,  christopher  !  with  thought  ,  hand  patting  at  spot  beside  him  .  .  .  not  thinking  twice  about  it  ,  normally  racing  mind  falling  silent  .  strange  .     ❛     there’s  no  stars  out  yet  ,  so  ,  a  lil’  lie  down  sounds  like  the  best  option  .     ❜     something  done  with  johnny  all  the  time  ,  ponyboy  fails  to  think  twice  about  it  -  shoulders  lazily  coming  to  rise  and  drop  .     ❛     i  mean  :  that’s  fine  too  ,  if  it  happens  .     ❜

another  reminder  :  ponyboy  digs  watching  movies  alone  because  he  can’t  stand  anyone  talking  while  he’s  watching  and  processing  .  also  ,  he  doesn’t  like  being  judged  (  expressions  ,  crying  ,  etc  )  so  it’s  easier  for  him  to  be  on  his  own  .
