“Me? Oh, no!” Just the thought of becoming a parent made him uneasy. It was so much–but that was beside the point! José caught his friend off guard with a bit-too-loud squeal from his toy.

“Please!” The bird answered with a giggle, and the toy is handed over.

Goofy nodded as a thanks when his friend handed him the chicken. Goofy curiously turned it around in his hands, giving it a light squeeze. ‘Aaa--’

Goofy couldn’t resist giving it another squeeze. ‘AAH--!!’

A smile. It wasn’t very difficult to entertain the goof.

“Gawrsh... I may need one fer muhself, too!” He followed this up with a few more squeezes, each one letting out a little clucking scream, before he handed the toy back to José. “In fact, I think everybody could use one’a these! These’ll make anybody happy!”

" Yo!!! It's Mr. Goofy! You've missed a lot but I hope we can make up for that time! " Dewey exclaims loudly as holds out some cookies to give to the adult. “Aww, hey there li’l pal!”

He takes one– no, two cookies– and pops them in his mouth.

“Thank you! Have you and yer brothers been stayin’ outta trouble? Uncle Goofy can’t be around t’keep you kids safe all th’ time, yanno!”

"Goofy!!" Launchpad hollers at him. This is their normal, he thinks, as he runs over to scoop up Goofy. "So much stuff has happened, I gotta tell ya all about it- Like the boat trip, and the Darkwing thing, and then the stuff where I ate mustard ice cream and had a romantic rendezvous with Mothduck- Wait wait, first things first- Ya wanna hear a joke?"

“Launchpad! BUDDY!!”

Goofy would definitely agree that this was the norm and allowed himself to be picked up, wrapping his arms around his friend’s neck. A friendly peck on the cheek followed.

“You know it, pal! I love jokin’! Give it to me!”

Goofy approached him gently, giving Launchpad’s chest a firm pat to see if he could hear anything.

Hm. Certainly didn’t sound like there were any clowns in there! Not a honk to be heard! But it was better to be safe than sorry, right?

“Ya want me t’give ya a lift to th’ hospital? They know me real well over there and I don’t even gotta wait most’a th’time!”

Goofy could only chuckle at that.

“Why? D’ya think ya got one trapped inside of ya?”

"Goofy." José was so proud of this purchase, and he wanted his friend to know it. In his hands was a golden chicken toy with its mouth agape. His face was alight with laughter. "I have missed you." *AAAAAAAAAAA* "And so has he." (Hey you asked me to clown around and here I am)

Goofy gasped with delight. “Joe! I didn’t know ya adopted a baby!”

He was quick to wrap an arm around the parrot with an eager ‘I’ve missed ya too–’, only to be rudely interrupted by the little rubber chicken.

He cleared his startled ears with a finger. “Noisy little feller! Mind if I give ‘im a try?”

“What if you were just, like, lyin’ in bed and you heard a clown honk come from inside you?”

His gaze flits to look up from what he was doing at the other. A quizzical hum.

“What’s that for, Zeke?”

Oh no, he did NOT just go there.

The wolf let out a growl, glaring back at the Goof, unable to believe his nerve. He had always been rather protective of his hat, seeing as he had had it since ‘33. It was pretty much a part of his identity, sort of like the duck and his sailor getup, except a whole lot cooler.

Not that the Goof would know anything about that!

“Pretty bold o’ ya to say that when yer the king o’ dorks!”

Boy, it wasn’t too difficult to get Zeke worked up, was it? Goofy’s smile widened, paying little mind to the other’s jab back at him.

“N’aww, that ain’t right! Or else muh name would be Dorky, not Goofy!”

He slung an arm around the other’s shoulder. “Maybe ya oughtta try leavin’ it at home every so often--” he proceeded to remove his own hat from his head, tucking it in his pocket. Very gently, Goofy took Zeke’s hat and put it on, adjusting it to sit on his head at a slight tilt.

“There! Now I’m th’ king’a dorks!”

He made a very grandiose gesture with his hands.

“Make way fer the king! The king with th’ dorky crown atop his head!”

Goofy wasn’t sure if that little comment would break Zeke’s grumpy streak, or fire him up even more... but either way, it was still enough to bring about another fit of giggles in him.
