Week 2 update
Itās only 1lb⦠1 freaking pound⦠but my body is finally letting the scale move.. and I feel good about this again! It is assuring, although freaking slow, that I am starting to see results.
My nutritionist team said to see what was eating for caloric intake, and drop it by 200 cals for 2 weeks to see what my body does, and if nothing, drop it again to 200 cals. Since I have only lost a pound in those two weeks, I am going to reduce my caloric intake down, and see what my body does from there.
That will bring me down to 1800 calories a day.
One thing I feel like I had issues with this week is I did not prepare enough food for the entire week. I had intentions to food prep all my meals, but ended up prepping all of breakfast and 2 lunches, and snacks was a daily decided item. I told myself āyou will do it laterā, and later came and I never did.
This next week will be more intentional though. I am going to research some meals I really want to try, and share with my friend @neverregretasecond .. and meal prep the crap out of my week. I want to see how different my body reacts when I am fully prepared and stick to the daily plan.
Fingers crossed I can lose some more weight!
My new favourite way to get protein in!!
I am struggling to get over 100g of protein in, so this will definitely help get things going!
So a quick update on where my life is right now!
Two weeks ago, I had a doctors appointment to talk about my weight and was referred to a weight loss clinic in our closest biggest city. Because I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and eating disorder issues, my doctor wanted a more comprehensive care for me and this seemed like the best fit.
After a week, I received a call from my doctor at the clinic and we went over the plan. I will be meeting with a nutritionist, sports medicine specialist, behavioural therapist, and medical doctors and create a full plan for me to help me move towards my goal.
By the end of June I will have met with the entire team and start working towards my goals.
This week I met with my nutritionist and we decided a high protein approach would be best for me. It will help with my snacking , and hunger I feel all the time. I have a goal of 100g of protein per day, and every 2 weeks bring my caloric intake down by 200 calories and see what my body does. If I am losing weight, I stay at that amount until I plateau. If I donāt lose weight, I will adjust it again by 200 calories. Eventually the goal is to bring me down to 1600 calories per day but it will be a slow process.
So exciting things on the horizon, and I am looking forward to what all of thing will bring into my life!

In the spirit of more protein, I picked up some protein pancake mix that I want to make and freeze for the mornings where I donāt have time to make breakfast!!

Did I let Chat GPT create a meal plan for me this week?
Yes I did! The guidelines I gave it were 1800calories and 180g of protein, and this is the plan it produced.
It feels daunting how much food this is, but I am trying to remind myself that I currently eat more than this in the evening⦠so I am essentially just shifting it for towards the day.
Groceries are bought, food is prepped, and we are ready to go!
It has been a few yearsā¦.
Manās a few extra lbs laterā¦
But I am back to talk about my health journey.
I feel like I have been in an emotional winter season for a few years and just surviving.
But with some changes in my life, I feel the spring coming and with it, the desire to heal and become who I want to be.
I have a long journey to where I want to be, and there is going to be many years, frustrations, and set backs but end result will be a better person than I am now.
And here in lies the beginning to the new me.
I have started my vision board/ things I want to accomplish this year. Not nearly close to being done, but it's a nice reminder every morning what I am working towards.
I had a good yoga practice today! I wish it was a but more vigorous but I don't think my legs would of handled it well haha! Plus Travis made me supper today!!
