Kel McDonald has been trailblazing the art of webcomics since 2005. These were the days when webcomics were new, and making a viable living off them so unique an experience that she was asked to speak on the subject to her own classmates while studying the sequential arts. Always ahead of the curve, she was even one of the early adopters of Kickstarter, and has been championing independent print comics since 2007, with 8 successfully self-published books under her belt.

But it all started with Sorcery 101 and over 10 years and 1,400+ pages later, the final volume of Sorcery 101: Volume 2 is being Kickstarted. This comic represents not only webcomic’s history, but as a successful 10 year story by and independent creator, it stands as a testament to what we creators can accomplish with hard work and dedication.

The final volume of Sorcery 101 is so close to being funded, but it’s looking really close. At 720 pages, it’s a big hefty book, and that comes with a big price tag for a self-published independent comic maker to foot. Please consider supporting the book by backing the project, or spreading this message around. Help us guarantee it makes goal.

Kel has been not only my close friend, but a mentor of mine for years. Without the guidance of her and others, I do not know how I would be making my own living off comics right now. Help her give her wonderful story the closing chapter it deserves with a big, beautiful final book.
