Neighborly Kindness Part 2
After helping Wally into bed, Holly pulled the covers up to Wally's neck and fluffed his pillow. "There you go, comfy?" Holly asked, Wally smiled and nodded, "Yeah, thank you..this is not how I thought I would meet you" Wally chuckled nervously. "Well, meeting you, I can see that you're very nice." "If you need anything, I'm right here." Holly said, Wally smiled back at her. "Is there anything I can get you before I go back downstairs?" Holly asked, Wally thought, "Some tea would be nice." He said, Holly nodded and went downstairs to make the tea. While Holly was downstairs, Wally laid back down to rest his eyes, Home creaked, "What is it home?" Wally asked, opening one of his eyes, Home opened the nightstand drawer that had a thermometer in it, Wally got the idea and sat up, Wally stuck the thermometer in his mouth and waited. After a bit of waiting, Holly came back with Wally's tea, she saw Wally and tilted her head, "Got a fever, huh?" Holly said with a concerned look on her face. Wally looked at the thermometer and sighed, "Yeah..I don't feel so good.." He said as he put the back of his hand on his forehead, Holly frowned, "I made you some tea, maybe it'll help you sleep." Holly said a little quiet. Wally picked up the saucer and tea and thanked Holly, "This is why I hate rain.." Wally said, frowning as best he could. "I understand you, I hate getting my hair wet..especially when I spent an hour fixing it for the day." Holly said with a giggle, Wally cheered up and chuckled, after finishing his tea, Wally felt a bit drowsy, he yawned and looked sleepy, Holly picked up the cup and saucer on the nightstand and smiled at the sleeping Wally, Holly covered Wally with his blanket before leaving the room, Home turned the light off and let Wally rest.
The time passed and Wally was still fast asleep in his bedroom, Barnaby had came over to check on Wally, Holly explained how Wally was feeling and Barnaby nodded and felt bad for his friend. He quietly went upstairs and peeked into Wally's bedroom, Wally was curled up in his bed and was snoring, Barnaby smiled a bit and quietly went downstairs. "Sleepin' like a baby." Barnaby said, tip toeing downstairs.
"Good, hmm, He's probably gonna be hungry when he wakes up, wanna help me make him some soup?" Holly asked, Barnaby nodded and got the ingredients ready.
As the two made food downstairs, Wally stirred awake and sat up, feeling groggy and half asleep, Home creaked, Wally yawned a big yawn and stretched, waking up more, Wally heard the two talking and got curious, he slowly went downstairs and peeked into the kitchen, Barnaby looked and smiled, "Hey shrimp, nice bed head." Wally scratched his head and blushed, "Hey Wally, you hungry?, I made you some soup." Holly set a bowl of soup on the kitchen table, Wally did feel a bit hungry, he went over to the table and sat down, Barnaby then whispered into Holly's ear, telling her how Wally eats, Holly's eyes widened, she looked at Wally and saw, she brushed it off as normal and didn't question it much. As the day went on, Wally got comfy on the couch and watched tv while wrapped in his favorite apple blanket, Holly watched tv with Wally after Barnaby left. As the sun went down, Wally had fallen asleep, he was sleepy and content, Holly looked and turned off the tv, she picked him up and took him to bed, putting a cool cloth on Wally's forehead, she walked to the door, "Sleep well Wally, feel better little dude." Holly whispered before shutting the door behind her.
