"Why is suddenly everyone is ignoring meâŠDid I do something?"
"I don't know. I'm sure they aren't ignoring you, they are just busy. I don't know."
(OPEN TO ALL TEENWOLF STARTER)
Allison was walking down the corridor, thinking to herself, she was full of nerves, she didn't understand what was happening. Scott told her to stay put until he came back, but he was taking his time. Each moment he was gone, the more worried she became.
OOC
OOC: Wanna plot with me? Just send me an ask and I'll reply as soon as I can.
He shook his head, seeing the burden on this girl. He put a hand on her shoulder. âIâm sorry, ok? I shouldnât have said that. Itâs just⊠I canât give up all hope Allison, no matter how desperate it looks. I donât know why, but something inside of me tells me to keep fighting.â
He looked at her, seeing her empty look, already not liking how defeated she looked. âAnd something tells me youâre not the one to give up either. What happened to make you feel this way?â Then he remembered something, something one of the other kids had told him. âYou should be the one who could tell me about the rules, if Iâm correct?â
Allison looked over at him, listening to his voice full of hope, he reminded her of herself, before she lost all of her hope. "I understand, I was like you before. I used to have the most hope out of everyone, but after I have seen death and no way out. I lost it."
She looked around, before looking at the hand on her shoulder. "I should be the one to tell everyone the rules, everything, but there are too many people. We usually only have one new person every month, but this month, there is a lot more than they should be. We don't know why."
"Youâre telling me weâre somewhere, but no one knows exactly what it is or where we are? What kind of nonsense is that? Who put us here?" He shook his head, trying to remember his name, trying to remember how he came here, trying to remember who he was. "We donât know anything? How⊠how is that even possible?" He looked around him, seeing the⊠the Glade, as she called it all around him, surrounded by huge walls, bigger than he could ever imagine.
He shook his head by what she said. âDonât tell me not to have hope. What else do I have to hold on to? I donât even know who I am. You canât expect me to give up hope on ever finding out?â It was weird, telling her that, this teenage girl. He was a grown man, he shouldnât tell this girl, still almost a child, how he felt. And still, somehow he felt like he couldâŠ
goodwithabowargent:
Allison looked around, chewing on her lip. She didn't know what to say to comfort him, she had already spoken what she had needed to say, all that she could say. "I'm sorry, okay. I shouldn't have acted that way, I shouldn't have told you to give up hope. I have just lost all mine, I want to make you understand that at some point you will give up hope."
A girl walked up to him. He squinted his eyes against the light. Until a few moments ago, it had been dark, and now the light was suddenly flooding in. He tried to see her face when he heard a voice that should be familiar. Or he thought. But he had no idea how he should know her, or who she could be.
Or who he himself was, for that matter. âThe Glade? Where might that be?â He didnât know why, but he didnât like asking question. He felt like he should know, he should be the one providing the answers, not the one looking at others in complete confusion. âMy name? Why wouldnât I know my name? Iâm⊠IâmâŠâ He thought hard, but no name came to mind. âHow can I not know who I am?â He stood up, looking at the girl again. âHi Allison.â
goodwithabowargent:
Allison looked over at the man and frowned, before speaking. "We don't know where we are, all we know is, it's called the Glade." Allison listened as he tried to tell her his name. "Well, we had our memory's wiped, along with our name. I don't even know who is my family and who is not. I don't know my friends or who was my friends. I don't know anything, but you will deal with that, like everyone else has here. But you will know you're name soon."
Allison looked around and sighed. "I know this may seem harsh, but I have been here for a year, so don't have a strong sense of hope, because I lost it ages ago."
Meeting a face from the past.
Can anyone explain where I am?
Allison walked up to the confused man, recognising him, but unsure where from. Almost everyone that had walked through those walls recently she had recognised but she didn't know them. She hated seeing these people, it was like being haunted of a past you don't get know anymore. In fact it was that in a way.
Allison looked at the man with an apologetic look. "You are in the Glade. I know this is tricky, but you came on a lift, like everyone else here with no memories of anything. In a couple of days you will remember you're first name, I'm Allison."
Allison looked over at Garrett, listening to his questions carefully, already knowing what he was going to ask from what everyone else had asked her. âWe donât know the point of this place, we donât know why we are here, but we know that if we go outside those walls, we...
Allison shook her head. "Well, they have killed a couple of people who dare to enter the maze, there is no point trying to look for an exit, a lot of people already have and found nothing. These creatures are dangerous, they will kill anyone that lies in their way. I would be careful if I was you and take my warning." Allison couldn't stand to stand around this arrogant boy any more, so she slowly started to walk away, trying to see if there was anyone else to calm down.
scarveswolfies:
He looks at the walls with disbelief as they shut, then turns to face her. âWhat the hell?â
Issac wasnât sure what to think. Creatures? Runners? Why did they open and shut? What?
"âŠCreatures?
Allison nodded, looked over at him, seeing all the questions, written all over his face. She was quick to answer them. "Well, for one, we don't know why they open or shut. Two, Creatures don't come in here, they are stuck inside the maze. And Three, you will get used to this. At the moment you want to know everything, but sometimes information can bombard you, that you need to have some space. If you need space, I can come back later.."
Obviously, Allison didn't want to come back later, she wanted to stay and escape the same questions from everyone else. But she also wanted to speak to Scott again. She felt something different about Scott and the young boy compared to everyone else, but she couldn't put a finger on what it was she was feeling. But she wanted to find out.
goodwithabowargent:
Jackson nodded to what she was saying, biting his bottom lip. âYeahâŠSpeaking of this place, what are the jobs exactly? I mean, I wanna do something which I can relate to, you get where Iâm coming from? Something that I like.â
Allison nodded, before listing off all the jobs that were in the Glade. "That's understandable. There is the Builders : They build new places. The Bricknicks : They have almost the same job as Builders but are actually tasked with repairing buildings. The Sloppers : They do dirty tasks, houseworks, basically any job the Gladers do not want to do; treated as the lowest ranked job. The Baggers : They act as guards and deal with any dead bodies. Cooks : They prepare meals. Track-Hoes : Gladers who work in the Gardens - tilling, weeding, planting and harvesting. Med-Jacks : They act as doctors. Slicers : They work in the Bloodhouse - take care of livestock and slaughter the animals for food. Runners : The only Gladers allowed to go in the Maze; they run through it every day and accumulate information about the wall movements to draw the Maze day after day. I'm thinking either a runner or Bagger would suit you. What do you think?"
It was dark by the time she finished walking the perimeter and returned to the gaggle of teenagers. Most of them were still milling about, squawking pointlessly to each other, several clearly had been crying. Useless, she thought. She locked eyes with the boy who earlier tried to taunt her as...
Allison looked over at the woman, catching her gaze, she stepped back slightly scared by her. She seemed really strict and scary, her strength and power behind her voice, sent a chill down her spine. She shook her head. "I- there is only one adult here and that's Claudia. You will find her in the tent over there." Allison pointed to they tent, feeling nervous and scared. The woman defiantly seemed powerful, she seemed like the type of person who could make you suffer easily. But as well as the feeling of fear, she felt a strange sense of relief, she recognised this woman and somehow she felt a little less relaxed, knowing that she was there.
Allison chewed on her lip, as she heard the woman mention why she called her Victoria. "I-I just guessed it was you're name, you look like a Victoria." Her voice started to become stable, as she started to get stronger. She crossed her arms across her chest, trying to look tougher.
goodwithabowargent:
"I know we are." Isaac smiles at her, still embraced in their hug. He didnât want to let her go.
Suddenly a loud noise erupted from out of nowhere. Isaac let go off Allison and covered his ears at the noise, while the ground beneath him shook. He glanced up and saw the walls with the parting in between was shutting, however, when he looked over at Allison she remained unmoved, like she had seen this a thousand times before. âWhatâs happening?!â
Allison looked at the walls and sighed. "Everyday those walls open and they shut. They lead to the maze, but only the runner's are allowed in their. There is some dangerous creatures, only the most strongest and fastest can go in there."
goodwithabowargent:
As Allison gestured towards where the lift was Scott turned and stared at it.
"We arrived on a lift?!" He asked with surprise. "Does that mean youâve met anyone who controls it? Is there any contact with anyone outside the Glade? Do you know why weâre hereâŠ" Scott stopped the barrage of questions as Allison looked frustrated at obviously not being able to answer because she didnât have them.
"Iâm sorry. I⊠I just want answers, I want to know why were here so I⊠Man this sounds goofy. I have this really strong urge to protect these people." Scot turned and looked at the others, some awake now and talking, others just stirring. He saw older faces amongst the young and some spark those odd emotional remembrances, his gaze falls on young faces and feels a pulls, like with Allison, but different finally falling on perhaps the youngest boy who is animatedly, perhaps angrily talking to another boy. "Some of these people spark something in me, I feelâŠ. protective of them, and I have this⊠this⊠urge? Drive? Need" Scott tested words, and they felt right and wrong. "To protect and defend them, all of them, âŠ." And Scott stops, and looks back at Allison the rest of the sentence âYouâ is unsaid.
Scott feels the blood run to his cheeks, as he blushes for a second and turns away, then back again, composure restored. He sort of holds out his hand, also like a question itself for Allisonâs help. âI know, you probably need to help the other to, fill them in, I want, can I help at least make sure everyone is OK. then, then when we have time please tell me everything you can about this place so I can understand it.â
Scott looks at Allison, and nervously bites his lip.
Allison looked frustratingly at Scott, feeling annoyed and angry for not being able to answer all those questions. She wished that she had the answers for everything, but she didn't. She had hardly any answers what so ever, she didn't know what to say, she didn't know how to tell him, she could tell that he was as stressed out as her. "Hmm, well I don't know. You're guess is as good as mine."
She nodded, as she listened to him speaking about wanting to protect people, she smiled, feeling the exact same way. She watched his eyes drift over at all the people laid on the ground and people talking, she smiled, before looking over at Scott again, catching his gaze. "It doesn't sound goofy at all. I- I feel the same way. I want to find all the answers, find a way out and lead everyone to safety, but If I start freaking out, then there will be a riot or something and people will get hurt. We have to stay as calm as possible."
Allison blushed as she knew what he was going to say at the end of his sentence. She nodded at his next question. "Of course you can, we will help everyone together. We need to stay strong for everyone, I know that's hard, but we need to stop the dangerous possibilities from happening." Allison automatically took a hold of his hand. as he reached out his hand towards her, she smiled and looked around, trying to choose someone out of the crowd, possibly the one struggling the most.
Allison suddenly spotted someone in the crowd and quickly started to walk up to them, holding sympathy in her eyes, she kept a steady pace, easy enough for Scott to follow.
Jackson looked down at his hands, his thumbs tapping against each other. âYeah, I get youâŠâ He muttered so slightly, his voice still being audible enough for her to hear. âI meanâŠWonder how our families must be acting right now. They must be scared to deathââ He paused himself, taking in a deep breath, before exhaling out. â..And we canât even remember them.â Jacksonâs gaze shifted over to Allison, his eyes locking contact with hers. âLike who knows, Some of us might even not have ParentsâŠBut we donât know or not.â The boy brushed his hands over his face, them trailing up to rake through his messy hair. âItâs just..not good.â
goodwithabowargent:
Allison nodded and smiled slightly. "Our families could be here and we didn't even know." She locked eyes with Jackson, listening to what he had to say. "Yeah, well we may never know. We could be stuck here forever or we could leave tomorrow, I don't know."
The pale, corpselike profile of the young adolescent diverted round to the brunette who had adjoint him, generating his gaze to focus on her as she spoke- her tone sounded familiar and so did her appearance but just like anyone else who lurked around this region, he couldnât even think of the name- his mind was just a blank canvas. âGlands? So like an organ in the human body? What is this? Like Jack and bean stalk only this time Jack doesnât defeat the giant and instead gets eaten by them so now theyâre living in the organs of the giant?â He rambled on just a little before his large palm positioned itself upon his forehead as he exuded a light shake of it. âLook, I-I donât even know what the heck my name isâ and that guy-â He gestured eagerly in the direction of someone before adding in a murmur. âI donât even know that guyâ I donât even know myself, ok?â
Goodwithabowargent:
Allison looked over at Stiles and nodded, ignoring his nonsensical rambling, which only confused her a little bit. But some where deep inside, she knew that this is what he does, he rambles. She looked down at the floor. "I know, I was like you.. You will rememeber you're name, but you won't remember who everyone else was to you, how close or how far apart you were. You just don't remember... People say that our dreams, are our past. Some of us are lucky enough to remember our dreams, others aren't so lucky." She sighed, looking up at the adolescent trying to make him understand that she knew how he felt.
goodwithabowargent:
"Some of them donât even have that, yet. Weâve been wondering for ages, now. Thereâs no way to come to a logical answer to that question because we have so little information. Itâs best to just deal with it, set a good example. You know that," she reminded her, looking out at the Glade, at the newbies trying to figure something out. Theyâd seemingly yet to realize that there was no easy way to figure anything out.
"Who knows? Believe me, Iâve been thinking about it too, but thereâs just- like I said, there doesnât seem to be any logic to it. So Iâm sticking with what we know. The Runners run. The Builders build. The Cooks cook. And Iâm just going to worry about fixing people up if they need it, which hopefully they wonât."Â
Allison nodded looking over at Paige, realising that she was just over reacting. She looked around at everyone looking confused and struggling to come to terms with what had happened to them. "Sorry, I guess, I'm just getting a little stressed out with all these questions. Each time some one asks me them, I start to think about them and get angry all over again."
She smiled, pulling herself together, looking over at everyone, knowing what she had to do. "I'm okay now, I just needed to think, you know."
Cora nods slightly. âI know neither of those people.â She pauses crossing her arms over her chest, licking her lips which had been chapped from what she assumed dehydration. âYes, but where did these rules come from? Who created these rules?â Getting rather desperate her question sounded rather frantic and needy. Which was exactly how she felt she was thirsty for answers. She needed to know why she and the others were there. Even if there was no way in hell she could ever escape, she still thought itâd be beneficial for her to know why she was put there and who had put her there. Also, why would she only remember her name later on?
goodwithabowargent-
Allison nodded, "No-one knows each other, they only recognise their faces, if they have ever met them before. We don't know who put us here, everyone is asking the same old questions, but we don't have the answers to them. Okay? WE DON'T KNOW!" After being asked the same question all day, she started to get sick of hearing it and felt even more angry that she had ever felt that she accidentally just snapped, shouting at the girl in front of her.
