I HATE the anti-neopronoun take that’s like,

Because even if that were true, is wanting someone to use a nickname for you so wrong? Is wanting someone to use “bug” in a certain sentence format to refer to you WRONG?? What’s not to ”support”? Just use the neopronoun if someone wants you to. Call it a nickname, sure, whatever. Nicknames are still basic respect

New pack open!!

I've wanted to be part of a Therian pack for a long while, so everyone feel free to answer this form!!! I'll be making a very simple Discord server for this pack with feedback from everyone involved. Pack culture is just more common in younger therians I think at least from what I see on YouTube. Tons of them start their own packs.

I found therianthropy through YouTube, maybe I’m just oblivious to it because I don’t watch much YouTube anymore!! People need to start vlogging more often

One thing modern day Therians don’t do too much anymore (from what I can tell) is pack culture. I absolutely think we should bring it back

Hanging out in discord or calls with your pack, organizing events together. Group howls/meetups, going to the forest with your pack and playing together. Doing quads shamelessly, and building a connection and bond with a group that no one else can compare to. It needs to happen more

I’m new to using the term actually, so if I’m using it wrong feel free to correct me!!! But a holothere (to my understanding) is identifying as your theriotype in every way. Fundamentally, I am a wolf. I am a wolf physically (although I recognize my human body, I don’t identify with it), I am a wolf mentally, spiritually. I act like a wolf, I want to be treated like a wolf, and I as a being, am a wolf!!

The same people who will say "Lesboys aren't valid" will say "It's fine if non-binary people don't want to consider themselves 'trans' or use the word 'transgender' for themselves. They should use the words that make them comfortable." Like... yeah. Same concept buddy. It's the same thing (Not to say all Lesboys identify as men, but if they do... who cares?? Are you afraid the Lesboys are gonna kiss you and infect you with their sapphism???) People will say "Labels have meaning, and by validating Lesboys you're dulling the meaning of the word." But maybe YOU aren't taking sapphic men/transmascs seriously and that's why the label is "blurred" to you

This is a real and honest question, WHY do (mostly American) Therians pronounce it “Theer-ian” instead of “Ther-ian”???

My guess is that Therianthropy was popularized on YouTube by Therians who don’t speak English as their first language, like PD Pink Dolphin and others. But saying “Theer-ian” just feels wrong. That’s not how the (American) English language would normally sound, right?

Deleted my last post, did not realize how naively I worded it!! I am a physical Therian myself, I want to get that straight.

To the anon asshole who told me to “shut the fuck up an educate yourself if you’re 20 and still learning about the world”, this was me, asking the internet to educate me. “Don’t talk about topics you don’t know about” doesn’t apply here, because I was actively asking for opinions from people who DO know what they are talking about. Anon linked me a source on nonhuman and Otherkin identities, which I appreciate!! But I am already educated and I know about these labels. Let me reiterate, I am a physical Therian. I don’t identify with my body either. (I’ll read through this educational source just for the heck of it though.)

I did not however, realize that unwanted reality checking could be harmful to post without context or a warning! That’s not something that harms ME, so I didn’t realize until someone called me out. Thank you to those that DID call me out kindly and explained it in words I could understand!! Will not happen in the future.

Please don’t just say “shut the fuck up if you don’t know what you’re talking about”, I asked for advice and arguments against it, because I was genuinely curious. I didn’t mean to come off offensive to anyone at all, and I’m truly sorry if I did. I think Tumblr deserves to stay weird and I will never intend to “water down labels” or reality check to hurt someone. Thank you for the kindness!

I still think it’s very sweet that two of my dear students identify as therians, shared their several theriotypes with me, and have showed me their quadrobics and vocals before. To keep in mind, my students are 11.

Meanwhile, I’m 23. I don’t do quadrobics, but I do enjoy yoga. I don’t have a mask or any “gear,” really. I’m pretty much just a cat, questioning feline cladotherian. Yet I also identify as a therian, particularly favoring the alterhuman label.

Big or small, young or old, I like the fact that so many of us get to experience this together. Being an alterhuman comes with its joys and hardships, but having a community really does make it all better.
