So, a little background info is in order. My name is Nick. I’m 24 years old, and I’ve recently graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, where I was born and raised. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “How can you be a Packers fan, if you were born in Indiana?” Well, my grandfather (may he rest in peace) was born in Antigo, Wisconsin. He grew up loving the Packers and it’s become a family tradition ever since.
I’ve been to Lambeau Field three times now (Twice for games). It’s truly an exhilarating place to be. The environment is second to none. In the future, I want to be able to go to a game at Lambeau once a year. I always love meeting fellow Packer fans.
I also love the team’s rich history. Nine pre-Super Bowl NFL World Championships (those count) and four Super Bowls. So many legends have worn the Green and Gold, too. Earl “Curly” Lambeau, Tony Canadeo, Vince Lombardi (the GREATEST coach of ALL-TIME), Bart Starr, Jim Kramer (who should be in the Hall of Fame), Forrest Gregg, Ray Nitschke, Dave Robinson, Don Hutson, Brett Favre, Reggie White, Donald Driver, Aaron Rodgers (The BAAAAAAAD Man, himself. Heal up soon, 12), Jordy Nelson, Clay Matthews, Mike Daniels, and the list goes on and on. Plus, you have to love that this is the only team that is community-owned in professional sports.
One purpose of this blog is to bring the news of team happenings, my opinions of what the team is doing, and pre-game and post-game thoughts. Another purpose this blog serves is to connect me with all of my fellow Cheeseheads out there. Hope you all enjoy, and GO PACK GO!
