A sketch of my Nyx because sheās my n 1 comfort character and I needed it these days & the more I draw her, the more things are shaping up in my head.
I love playing with the idea of yin and yang. In these Jade and Michiko are yin and yang:
Jade's face is not shown, Max is the main focus and face is shown partially -vs- Michiko is the main focus but both their faces are shown partially
Disheveled clothes after sex -vs- Proper clothes
Max playing lightly, calm, low energy vibe, a bit sad -vs- High energy Max playing on the piano
Jade feet is point towards Max, Max lays his head against her legs but face away -vs- Max faces Michiko but she turns her back
Jade's red shoes -vs- Michiko yellow dress. (in comparison with Max's blue)
Jade and Max's skinship -vs- the distance between Michiko and Max
Did I miss anything?
He loves both of them in his own ways.
Max is obviously enjoying himself with Jade because he is in control, but at the same time he is always thinking of Michiko (the bright cigarette ember is a repeat from Michiko's bright yellow dress). When with Michiko he is faded to the foreground, but he is enthusiastically playing the piano for her.
But he is also troubled by this whole affair, as presented with his main color grey blue, compared to Jade's bright blue and red and Michiko's bright blue and gold. He maybe the man who has two women with him, but they are actually the one confidently in control.

I took the liberty to interpret their relationship, I hope @gorogorogorochansan and Alianorah2020 find it fit XD This is much like my fanart for their story.
