[Goruul] Short Drabble

He tried to feel something.  Anything.  Pride, disgust, any emotion would do, but there was nothing left in him.  Even from across the shore, he could hear the panicked screams and feel the heat of the blazing fire, though as the blood he’d taken ebbed from him, dying within his husk of a body, Goruul knew it would cool long before Teldrassil did.

If he couldn’t feel a damn thing then, he never would.

9, 31, and 38 for Goruul and Burke?

9. What is their greatest physical weakness?

Burke: The thing that hurts Burke the most in combat is his completely messed up lungs and throat.  He inhaled a lot of Scourge and Forsaken chemicals fighting in Northrend, and it has permanently damaged his insides.  This leads to him getting winded more easily than most, and if he does get the wind knocked out of him, it is way more difficult for him to recover afterwards.  He’s a big wheezy mess.

Goruul:  Goruul doesn’t have too many physical weaknesses, now that he’s a big ol’ zombie death knight.  The Light hurts him badly, of course, but that’s not really a physical weakness.  Honestly, his biggest weakness in combat is that he has zero fear anymore.  Goruul just doesn’t give a shit, which makes him reckless and impulsive.  He’s easy to bait, and it’s stupid easy to get him way in over his head.  Not a physical weakness, but - eh, kinda tough with a death knight.

31. Do they have self-confidence or self-image issues?

Burke:  Burke does when he’s reminded of what he’s not.  He’s a huge hillbilly with a jacked-up face, graying hair, and a not-so-pleasant voice due to inhaling chemicals.  He’s fine most of the time, but when he sees someone who’s his polar opposite, like a nice, regal shining paladin, he’s reminded of what he is, and he can get pretty awkward.  Burke is confident in himself so far as his duties go, but if someone compliments him or anything, he doesn’t tend to believe them or take it well.

Goruul:  Ha ha, no.  Goruul is a filth pig and he loves it.  The only time he gets self-concious is when he’s around other orcs, now that he’s undead, but it has nothing to do with his physical appearance - it’s about the fact that he’s a big no-no in orcish culture.

38. Have they ever been imprisoned?

Burke:  I don’t think so.  Burke is a boy scout, and always does what is Right and Good.

Goruul:  Goruul was imprisoned in the aftermath of the Second War by the humans, and thrown into an internment camp for like ten years.  He was also imprisoned during Garrosh’s regime for being a rebellious little shit, and not taking well to the idea of the Horde excluding their allies.
