Intro/Rules

Send in whatever you’d like for TMA - headcanons, opinions, hot takes, etc! Try not to be too hateful or extreme in your ask, as I likely won’t publish it. Also, just because I publish a post or make a cute little response to it doesn’t mean I agree with the post or headcanon! Just spreading gossip, airing opinions, and having some fun.

On publishing posts: I generally will answer an ask if I think it’s funny, teasing, or an actual interesting idea/take. I’m not really here to facilitate arguments (though opposing opinions are fine) and I’m not going to publish things that make me uncomfortable or are really nasty in spirit. I’ve already gotten some confrontational/hateful asks, and I won’t be posting on this blog for much longer if it continues.

This blog is run by @voiceless-terror and isn’t on any set schedule. It might take me a while to get to some asks because I’ve gotten quite a few!

Look I get why people portray Georgie and Basira as hyper competent, I don't agree with it but I can see why they would think that. But Melanie FUCKING King?? Miss "I will go to places with bad mojo with my clown make up on, willingly join an Institute even though everyone working there warn me not to, be friends and trust the very personification of lies and gaslighting, and try to stab and yell at everyone my way out" as Hyper competent??? Not in this life or the next

I think any description of female characters as ‘the one brain cell’ is reductive. Georgie has plenty of flaws, many of which stem from her trauma. ‘Inability to feel fear’ does not equal competence, and Basira was led on a wild goose chase around the world by Elias and managed to speed up the apocalypse with all of Jon’s marks just as planned.

Ignoring their flaws and placing them on a pedestal does a disservice to all of their characters. It’s hard to be a chessmaster when you can’t see the whole picture, and all three of them are pawns in a much bigger game.

And that’s tragic, baby!

As much as I would have loved Agnes and Jon to talk to each other, lbr Agnes would have sensed Jon's web lighter and be like "My story is not for the Web to hear" and asked for the lighter only to destroying it and ending the podcast right there and then

Look, anyone who wants to get rid of that pesky little thing is fine by me. You might not have a podcast anymore, but I’ll still be able to see their beautiful friendship form. 

Devote yourself to the Ceaseless Watcher instead. It’s the obvious choice. If my worshippers at Netflix are as good as they say, we’ll behold six seasons and a movie. And not a spider in sight!

Dear eye, who do you think are the funniest avatars, not in "haha they make good jokes" but in a more "lmao do you see these losers?" For me it's the People's Church of the Divine Host cultists, they are like "actually you need a high iq to understand The Dark" and than the dark turns out to be kiddie fear, like it starts with a statement about scaring a child and ends with statement about scaring children in the podcast and this makes the cultists even more hilarious

There's a lot of fun to be had with the other fears. I tend to think of them all as a little funny in their own, shall we say, unique way. I'll always have a laugh at that "not-Sun" nonsense, and Nikola thinking she can twirl her way to a new world. Fires? So passe. Judy Perry's got that ridiculous villain schtick going - the one time this Eye wishes it could un-behold. Meat pit? Ridiculous. Fog? Get over yourself, Mr. Lukas.

I could go on like this for days. But I think that eight-legged loser that had to hijack my ritual and listen in on my Archivist is the funniest of all.

I think Jon would be one of those people who says he's not a dog person, and would act like he doesn't really want a dog but fine if you insist I guess we can consider getting a dog, and just generally acts like he's not interested in it, but then gets a dog and next thing you know he's pampering it like that's his life mission.

Look, the truth is that Jon’s an animal person. Get him to the zoo and he’ll give you a fact for every enclosure. You’ll have to drag him away. What he’s not fond of is how soft he gets around animals, immediately melting into a pile of goo at the sight of a furry friend that might give him what his touch-starved heart desires- a little bit of love!

That’s why he was so worked up about the dog in the archives- besides the very obvious mess, he wanted to look as professional as possible! Can’t have his employees thinking he’s a childish softie.

That being said, emotional support Archive cat when?

You might be delighted to know that there is an entire discord server devoted to discussing tma, founded and led by me. My friends are only on season 2 and already on the love Martin, hate elias and leitner train. It is wonderful to watch.

Discord servers are a great place to feed on drama and secrets, so thank you for your patronage. All of your little communities have been quite instrumental in allowing this little Eye to behold, and I like what I see. Most of the time. Promise you won’t fly too close to the sun ;)

Eye avatars are like cats- *states*, can see in the dark, are NOT what they seem, and finally if you don't pay attention to them for more than 5 minutes they would get themselves tangled in curtains or kill someone or exploded a place or raised hell or beat someone up

The archival assistants can confirm. Sasha almost had a heart attack on finding Jon’s glowing little eyes in Document Storage. Martin’s seen him curled up in too many ‘if it fits i sits’ positions for it to be false. And Tim swears he’s seen Jon tangled up in blinds in a failed attempt at opening a window.

One of the small pet peeves i have is how in a lot of fanart Jared Hopworth is depicted as like, monstrously ugly when one of the statements said he had a handsome face. I get why, with the ability to reshape his appearance, but it always feels weird when he's in a avatar lineup and the only one looking like that.

Canonically Hot Jared Hopworth Rights, am I right? The man’s a talented gardner, that’s for sure. Can’t say I mind watching him work ;)

I know this is a joke post, but the only correct part of it is ‘boss,’ my dear. Gaslighting is a very specific manipulation tactic that Jon doesn’t employ, and he actually takes Melanie’s story when no one else will and allows her access to their resources when she needed them. There will be no Jon slander in this household.

The real reason Sasha died when she did is because her voice sounds way too similar to Georgie’s and no one would have been able to tell them apart if they’d been around at the same time

Answering this out of character because my ADHD ass one hundred percent confused the voices the first time around xD I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this!!!!
