Some time ago @tea-cuz-why-not posted a 'first wave of experiments' Gunntech oc. I just immidiately knew I wanted to make an oc from that time aswell.
She's pretty young, around 16. I'm not going to tackle the timeline, so I'll just say she was recruited at 15, when the company was pretty fresh. I don't know which side asked which, but Jodi's mother's immidiate reaction was: "I get free money and you take her away? So here's my bank account-"
It's safe to say Jodi's family wasn't fond of her. She was your spoiled rotten, mean, typical school bully. You know those cheap, plastic crowns that little kids wear? Yeah, she owned way too many of those. Except, she wasn't just shallow. Jodi was also blessed with magnetic charisma. She was hard to like, yes, but it was also hard not to be charmed by her.
Added to the fact Jodi had noodly arms, and a short figure, she was not a good fighter either. And so, using her charms, she became one of (if not the very first) GT's first pop-idol. I gotta say, heavy credit to @ambrosius-art aswell for letting me borrow the idea of a singer character (Elliot is such a baddie!!) Her job was simple. Like all the other trainees, she had to be a walking add for the company. Except her marketing also had neon pink lights and confetti.
For her design, she was lightly inspired by the animal she has the genes of. I'll reveal what it is in a later post, but maybe you'll guess on your own π€·ββοΈ So I don't really know who exactly was and is in charge of making the power crystals, or at least who makes them appealing and all- But. They gave Jodi her necklace (with the crystal attached), but she thought it looked plain and UGLY. So she was like: 'Oh hell nah, make it pretty', and they were annoyed, but said: 'alr fine' and slapped cheap plastic pearls on it and made it into a heart. (It worked. She loved it.)
As of the modern story, Jodi is no longer alive. On one public interview, with way too many people watching, Jodi's crystal started acting up. The, then still poorly made modifications gave signs of themselfs, before she collapsed on the ground. She met a rather miserable end, dying on a GT operating table, after a seizure. The young girl passed at 16.
Phew, this was a long one! I still gotta do her hero/performance costume. I'll talk more about how the special genes (and their side effects) affected her. (Once more, thanks @tea-cuz-why-not & @ambrosius-art for your oc's and their ideas, and also, forever grateful to @elmushterri (sorry for the tag :3 ππ) for GT existing!!)
