Once Tim sent out his letter it only took a few weeks for him to get a reply. Glaring down at the owl with the letter attached to it Tim actually hoped that his old professor would just forget.  Especially since it took him so long to actually write back.
The gryffindor took the letter allowing the owl to fly off. Â With a slight grumble Tim went to open the letter, but stopped mid open. Â He didnât feel like dealing with this now, and the possibility that he was actually going to have to go through this made the seventh year absolutely sick. Â Ever since going to Hogwarts Tim stopped caring about everything he had been doing. Â He no longer cared about losing or winning, it was always a stalemate for the gryffindor anyways. Â Something good would happen, then he would continuously get kicked in the crotch with crappy situations. Â Why would this situation be any different?
After staring at the closed letter for a few moments the seventh year looked up to see his cat staring at him. Â âI donât know what Iâm going to do.â Â Tim said primarily to himself, but also to Walter. Â The old grey cat only blinked in response and walked over to his bowl of food. Â âThanks for the help bud.â Â Tim said with a roll of his eyes.
Flipping the envelope around Tim hesitantly opened the letter.
Dear Timothy Mercer,
I am honestly surprised that you have finally replied to this letter.  After the two months of no replies I had just assumed that you have fully lost hope for Salemâs staff, sadly like many others since the war.  But it is very good to see that you have not!
Although your reply is rather late I am still able to squeeze you into the roster for the auror training. Â Just as long as you sign these other papers I have also sent with this letter, along with pay the small attendance fee Salem will cover the rest. Â
You are a very bright student Mr. Mercer and Salem knows that, so we hope that this training program will help you along with many other students narrow down your career paths so you can have a bright future and move on from your dark past.
Sincerely,
Professor McCann
Without even hesitating Tim pushed his old professorâs letter to the side and began to flip through the two other papers that were folded in the letter. Â
âAuror training blah blah blahâŠ.. DangerousâŠ.. competitionsâŠ. Academically successfulâŠâŠâŠ.. Located in the Auror training academy of Arizona..â Â
As Tim read where the training facility was located he felt himself freeze. Â Obviously he knew it would be somewhere in the United States, at least it wasnât in Chicago. Â But the seventh year still felt his stress rise. Â Lately everytime he has returned back to his home country he was only met with new bad memories, so how could this be any different?
Flipping the page Tim was met with the attendance fee. Â It wasnât much, only $50, Salem had probably covered the rest which was pretty surprising to the seventh year. Looking up from his papers Tim found himself get more lost than ever before. Â This hole only grew more and more and he still couldnât find a way out. Â
Hearing a faint meow Tim snapped out of his muddled thoughts and turned to his cat who was now sitting on the window sill of his dorm. Â âThis is such a fucking mess my dude.â Â Tim said, his cat clearly not paying attention.
âLike I could do this. Â Maybe actually do something with my life. Â But then Iâm stuck going back home, and who fucking wants to do that?!â Â Tim began talking even if his cat couldnât understand him.
âAnd Duran is here, I canât fucking leave him!! Everyone leaves him⊠his dad.. His mom. I canât be like them!â
âAnd I have âŠ.. other people here⊠â
âScratch that letâs say that I do go to this thing. Â How can I compete!? I mean look at me!! Â I bombed my shitty classes last semester, and if I remember clearly every single fucking fight I have gotten in since coming here Iâve been the one getting beat up! NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!â Â By now Tim is pacing debating with himself and cursing himself while his cat just sits there staring.
âIâd be a fucking joke.  Iâll get kicked out, not to mention the other Salem kids!  They probably hate my fucking guts for bailing on themâŠâ  Stopping mid step Tim fell quiet and stared at the ground.  His mind still buzzing in debate. Â
âI donât know what to do.â  The gryffindor finally said looking at his cat who has now turned away from him. With a sigh Tim stumbles to his desk and sits down he should have known that heâd still be debating with himself when he first sent the letter.  âI mean I could do this⊠There isnât exactly anything stopping me.â  Tim comments looking around his empty dorm room.  âDuran will be fine, I wonât be gone⊠I will come back⊠even if I donât get kicked out on the first day.â
After a few more reassuring words Tim grabs the letters and his own set of paper. Â
âOk Tim you got this, you can do this⊠You will do this.â
Chance Meeting
Jenny didnât register much of anything, as the soft sounds of classical music carried her through the streets of Hogsmeade. With headphones firmly in place, sheâd gone out with only one goal in mind; to retrieve more food for her faithful feline companion. Luckily her autopilot got her to the pet store in one piece, and she headed straight for the aisle she needed. Having not noticed anyone else as she approached Oliverâs favorite food, she gasped in surprise when their hands met reaching for the same item. Jesus Christ. Quickly removing her headphones, she took a step back, and indicated that they should go ahead. âSorry about that, Iâm not usually so..oblivious? I just got more caught up in the classics than I should have while attempting an excursion among people.â
Jenny laughed at herself, once her words registered, and she realized how formal she sounded. âWow, was it just me, or did I totally sound like some snobby bitch just then? Sorry, again, I was just transported to a time when that kind of thing was the norm I guess. Stupid, or crazy, I know, but music is my life; shit happens. Anyway, sorry for rambling, and apologizing a dozen times in such a short span?â Pointing at the food, and looking for anything else to talk about, she cleared her throat and tried again. âYour cat has good taste, thatâs Ollieâs favorite too.â
@got-the-magic-feather
Not many people knew that Tim had pet cat, which wasnât really a surprise for the gryffindor. The cat preferred wandering around the school and grounds surrounding it than actually staying in the dorm. Not to mention the amount of times Tim had to go retrieve Walter from Duranâs dorm. As aggravating as the cat seemed though Tim still enjoyed its company especially since his dorm only consisted of him living in it. As Tim walked down the aisles he kept an eye out for cat food. Walter usually ate whatever food Tim got so he never really payed much attention to what food he grabbed. Looking down at his small list of other things he had to buy Tim went to grab the cat food not even noticing the other person who was going to grab the same food. Â
Before the gryffindor could even let out an apology the woman quickly moved to the side and began justifying herself. Usually Tim would try to cut the other off due to not really wanting to listen to what they wanted to say, but this time Tim did not mind. âItâs fine really I should have been paying more attention, especially since I wasnât caught up listening to music. Besides awkward encounters like this always happen in stores, itâs no big dealâ The gryffindor replied with a smirk and shrug. âI guess? My cat kind of eats anything he sees, I basically grabbed the first thing I saw.â Whether this shopping method was good or not didnât really matter to Tim, as long as his cat didnât get sick was all that mattered to the gryffindor.

Typical
Of course the kid had to sass back. This curly haired ass was not worth Darrenâs time. So instead of saying a replyâŠeven though he wanted to yell at this kid so badlyâŠhe held it in. This hot headed student was not worth it at all. And by the sound of it this kid was American and at the moment Darren didnât want to deal with anymore of them. He was already searching for one.

Tim knew that the man was ignoring him, and he probably should have done the same... But he had already spent too much time allowing people walk all over him. He needed to fight back, no matter how important his future was to him.  âAre you fucking deaf!?â Tim yelled almost mockingly. The farther the man walked the more Tim wanted to confront him. It almost turned into a game of chase.

Typical
Laying low sucked. Darren was bored out of his mind. He couldnât do anything. He couldnât do any Auror stuff plus he couldnât start any trouble. Darren knew he should probably get a job to pay for his apartment but that had to wait. He wasnât even close to being broke yet. Today he needed to get some groceries which meant he could go out and not be as bored. But the one problem with that was he forgot how annoying people could be. From the crying toddler to the old lady walking way too slow they were all ungodly annoying.
Darren had successfully bought all his groceries without arguing with anyone. That was a win in his book. As he walked the ravenclaw graduate continued to mind his own business, all he wanted to do was get to his so called âhomeâ and enjoy his life peacefully. But he never got his way. A strong force hit him in the side causing Desoto to stumble forward. As he stumbled a single apple dropped to the damp pavement making a soft thud. The man slowly picked it up and turned around to see someone that had stumbled back looking at him with a shocked expression. He narrowed his eyes and mumbled âtypical.â With that he gave no mind to the other person and went to walk away.
To say that Tim had been busy these past few months would be an understatement. From running back and forth between America and the U.K. and trying to keep up his grades Timâs life has not been a walk in the park. So as he began rushing through the crowd of Hogsmeade in search for just a few moments away from everyone, Timâs luck couldnât get any worse as he slammed right into someone else. Â
Due to his own exhaustion along with the force of suddenly being stopped Tim fell back onto the ground. Hearing a faint ringing Tim clutched his forehead and looked up at whoever ran into him. Â
The gryffindor was about to appologize until he heard âtypicalâ escape out of the adultâs mouth. Instantly eating his apology Tim got up.Â
âWhat do you mean âTypicalâ?!â Tim called after the stranger.
050: Is your character good at giving advice? Or they the kind of person to need advice?
Tim tries his best to give advice, but it really is a hit or miss with that. He can either say the most helpful thing ever, or completely fall flat causing whatever he says to be somewhat hurtful or sarcastic.Â
Tim is the last person to ask for advice. Do not give him any he will not want it.
053: Whats a memory your character wishes they could forget?
Tim has many memories that he wished that he could simply get rid of. But for the most part any including the Salem War are the ones he wants to get rid of the most. Even though he made it out of the war physically intact the things he witnessed and had to do still sometimes causes him to stay awake at night.
Long time no plots hehe
Hey guys Susan here!! And uhhh it has been a while.. a LOONNGGG while and all I really have to say is that I miss this whole group. Being in this rp gang has probably been the most fun Iâve ever had with rp. Soo all Iâm really here to say is that Iâve noticed how inactive this group has gotten, and I have sadly played a part in that inactivity.... but I no longer want to see an empty dash. So if any of the remaining members want to make new plots with either Tim, Lyle or Sheldon please please PLEASE message me on here or on skype!! I really want this group to come back into its daily activity and I just miss all of you guys! <3

Mer was tempted to call back the student, but one of the big lessons of being a prefect was not to escalate a potentially volatile situation. From the looks of this, it already had the potential to be an incredibly volatile situation, so reigning in her own temper, she let him walk away, determined to follow up with him later.Â
Which left her with the boy standing next to her. Who was apparently still threatening students. âBefore you say another word, who is he, and what happened? Or Iâll have to report you to Professor Calhoun for fighting and actively threatening people for apparently no reason at all.â
When the prefect began asking Tim what had happened the gryffindor debated on even telling her what happened.  It was not that he didnât think that Mer wouldnât believe him, it was primarily the fact that he was not a snitch.  Besides he was fully capable of taking care of his own problems.  But when she mentioned reporting Tim to Calhoun, he quickly reconsidered, he surprisingly have not gotten in too much trouble since he first arrived last year and he wanted to keep it that way.  âThat asshole? Iâm pretty sure that his name is Brendon as for last name I could honestly care less.  I saw him messing with some first years.  The first time I saw it I just shrugged it off thinking that the kids would just deal with it themselves. But once it seemed to happen more frequently I had to take care of this asshole because obviously those kids werenât going to do anything.â
mersoldsoul:
âUnderstandable I suppose?â Mer asked sharply. It was rare for a Gryffindor to be so reasonable about potential punishment, even when caught in the act. Which again had her instincts pricking that there was something else going on. With enough prodding, it was bound to come out. As she saw the âvictimâ start to creep away, she pointed at them. âWait. You havenât responded to his question.â
Tim was not confused when he heard the surprise in the prefectâs voice. It usually wasnât often for a gryffindor to be so compliant when they got in trouble. And the same usually went for the short tempered Gryffindor as well, but he still remained to at least have the audacity to not start a show when he was caught red handed. Besides lately Tim had surprisingly begun to become less temperamental with other students, well until they piss him off.Â
When Mer looked down at the other student on the ground he only glared up at Tim, ignoring the prefect. He wiped off the little bit of blood that formed around his nose from falling on his face and grabbed his things.  âSureâ He finally answered clearly pissed off. The student then got up and began to stomp off.
When the student finally answered he couldnât help but give out a smirk of triumph. But the answer seemed far to fake for Tim to truly believe.  âGood, because no one really likes getting a broken nose.â Tim threatened ignoring the fact that Mer was still standing next to him.Â

âThe halls.. gosh Iâve been here to long.â She said softly holding her stomach, her place face flushed, taking her hand she brushed her hair away from her cheeks. Drawing in a shaky breath she looked up at the person before her. âYou-you donât.. have too. Iâm just.. you know resting.â She sighed heavily. âNo?â She repeated with a tired chuckle. âI think thatâs fairly mild compared to other things that could happen..â she said pushing herself up from nearly falling. âSorryâ she uttered quickly before coughing into her arm. âI.. I donât think this stuff works.â She grimaced at the tea in her hand

âYeah thatâs true, but better keep a positive outlook at this situation youâre in.â Tim commented with a shrug. When the other student nearly fell Tim went to help her regain her balance, but it seemed that she was luckily able to catch herself for the moment.  âItâs fine.â Tim then eyed the tea that Dot had just been drinking.  âWhat the hell is even in that?â
âno no please goâ she said with one hand still holding onto her stomach. âI dont wish to make you ill, I will be alright. just going to finish this and head back to my room.â she winced half from pain the rest from the vile medicine going down her throat.Â
Tim raised an eyebrow at the clearly sick girl. Normally if someone told him to leave he would, but he couldnât just leave this girl when she was obviously in some need of assistance.  âNo no, Iâm going to stay. Besides I donât think that this school would be a fan of a sick student passing out in the halls.â Â
A new school year
lift-you-up:
Duran had not seen Tim in a while so when he saw his friend he smiled and nodded âYeaâŠI think I bit off more than I could chew..well carry. So how have you been? I havenât seen you in a while! Gosh itâs so great to be back at school!! I am so excited for my classes and quidditch and prefect stuff!â The Hufflepuff quickly cut himself off when he realized he was rambling yet again âOh gosh I started rambling. My bad.â
âIâve been go-â Tim quickly got cut off by Duranâs rambling. It always seemed like Duran had some big news to tell Tim everytime they met up, but the gryffindor didnât mind. The more Duran talked about his life the less heâd have to pester Tim about talking about his own.  âItâs fine... but did I hear you mention something about quidditch AND being a prefect?! Holy shit dude you really are going try hard this year.â Â
mersoldsoul:
Mer glared at the Gryffindor as he spoke back. It was entirely possible that something else had been going on, and if that was true, she was sure she would hear all about it. However, se could only react to what she had seen, and that was a student tripping another one. âAt the moment, you. Because the only situation I see is the fact that I came around a corner and you put this guy on the floor.â
For a second Tim felt like complaining about how the other student was totally in the wrong and not him. But it was understandable that it was him and not the other student who was âgetting in troubleâ.  âThatâs understandable I suppose.â Tim commented with a shrug.  âI wasnât going to do anything else I swear. Besides I think that he learned his lesson.â Tim lied he probably would have kicked the kid if Mer didnât come. But no one needed to know that.  âRight?â Tim added as he glared back down at the student scrambling to grab his papers.
A new school year
Hogwarts was a bustling place. First years being shown where the dorms were, kids moving in and people catching up with old friends. Duran was very excited for his next year at Hogwarts. He had fun classes and he got to see his friends again. Everything was going perfect.
The Hufflepuff was walking to the dorms with a box with random nick-nacks and books stacked on top of each other. As he walked he made sure not to run into anyone. He wasnât going to run into anyone today. Duran was going to turn a corner when he quickly noticed someone step in front of his path. This caused the boy to abruptly stop. Thankfully he didnât run into them but it caused one of his books to fall straight out of the box. âAw man. I knew I over stuffed the box..â With that Duran tried to awkwardly reach down with the box still in hand to grab the book.
Tim didnât know what to feel about the new school year. He couldnât really blame anyone but himself his opinions on school had always been negative after Salem. As the gryffindor walked through the halls he noticed out of the corner of his eye someone hobbled forwards struggling to pickup something from the ground. Like any decent human being he went to help, and the closer her got to the person he quickly realized that it was Duran who was trying to pick up the book.
âYou need help there buddy?â Tim questioned as he went to pick up Duranâs book for him. He looked down at the cover, it was nothing he had heard of so he casually shrugged and handed it back to him friend.
