literacy rates are genuinly going down, and yes studies show that, but actively seeing it makes me really realise how bad it really is

for example the amount of comments I see on news outlets being annoyed that they say alleged (especially if theres photo and/or video proof) is insane, they have to say alleged otherwise they'll get seud, isnt that obvious??

or the video of this kid showing a sentence with a few 'difficult' words and his classmates and other peers not being able to pronounce them at all...

and the fact that theres not enough concern about this is the most concerning, why does nobody gaf...

I think people need to start learning the difference between an opinion and full on hating and/or harassing someone

I feel like katseye and the 'debate' around their music is a good example for this

a lot of people are actively hating on them and their music like its their 9 to 5 job and then proceed to say its their opinion, it definitely is your opinion that you dont like their style of music right now

but that doesn't mean you should create 50 posts and multiple comments about how much it sucks cause at that point its not just an opinion anymore, its just hatred

(not to mention its almost never constructive criticism or admitting that they dont like the genre...)

watched the finale episode of tadc yesterday and genuinly what was that😭😭

it was genuinly so mid and felt really rushed, first of all didn't feel any sympathy towards Jax being abstracted and the sudden cut to him as an abstracted beast was so weird I feel like that could've had a better transition

and why the random edit in the middle of the movie? seriously was giving the give Jax sympathy show at that point... (and the song choice itself was also really qeustionable)

and jax being maybe, probably trans women representation feels like such a bad story decision on so many levels 💔

also pomni saying she regatta was the closest friend she has after ignoring her throughout most of series ?? this dialogue does not make any sense at all

I get that druski is all about making comedic skits and stuff like that but I dont really think the recent one he made about Muslims was a very good idea

sure it has its comedic timing but making something like that especially in the political climate were in just feels like it plays into the rampant stereotypes of Muslims and doesn't help with the Islamophobia going around

like sure Megan and Lara shouldn't be talking with infleuncers and other such people about manon and her status within the group

but where's the same energy for people like Chris brown?? he literally psychically abused multiple women
