Historia and Ymir stop dead in their tracks, turning to you with wide eyes. Historia looks concerned, while Ymir stares at you as if sheâs already been betrayed â you understand what it looks like.
âWe are not allies,â you blurt, facing them to explain yourself. âI can assure you they are our enemies, the same as you.â
âYou better explain yourself,â Ymir sneers at you, stomping forward through the open doors of their castle. You watch her short dark hair, tied loosely at the nape of her neck, sway slightly along with her hips accentuated by the trousers she wears.
âYou must understand our hesitancy,â Historia tells you softly when Ymir disappears around a corner. âThings are changing.âÂ
Her blonde hair is braided, two sides pulled to the back, to allow you to see her features clearly. Sheâs beautiful, truly, and you can see how Ymir could fall for someone like her â they balance each other well. Although, you know Historia would not hesitate to do whatâs best for her own country.
âI want to work together,â you tell her honestly. âIf youâre willing, but I understand if youâre not and weâll simply move on.â
âLetâs get you inside,â she tells you with a gentle hand placed on your arm.
She leads you inside the modest castle, Levi taking place behind you along with Erwin, Hange, and Miche. Navarre does not flaunt their wealth like Mirlenas does; dark stone brick walls lining even the interior of the castle, simple torch sconces lighting the way with minimal windows providing extra light. The floors are stone as well, but it still feels clean and wide open.
Historia leads you down a hallway. âWe can discuss things in our meeting hall,â she gestures to an open doorway, a guard standing by with a blank face and cropped blonde hair. âThank you, Nanaba.â The guard nods.
The meeting hall has wood floors, but theyâre nothing like the patterned parquet flooring at home. A grand, round table is centered in the room, twelve chairs surrounding the mahogany surface, and you take a seat facing the doorway, but not quite directly across. Levi takes a seat next to you and youâre grateful, followed by Erwin and Hange sitting next to him. Miche stands guard by the door as Historia addresses you.
âGive me a moment with Ymir.â She gives you a sad smile. âSheâll come around.â You nod, and she takes her leave with Nanaba closing the door behind her.
You know very little of Navarreâs customs, your father only ever talking down about them and their âdebauchedâ ways of living. They were more progressive than Mirlenas by far, sexuality and gender being something that was looked at far more loosely than Mirlenas. You admire them for living so freely, apart from the standards your society typically upholds. You wonder if Auguste would have felt more at home here, if Erwin feels as though he could have lived a life with him. You frown.
âIf she even thinks about laying a hand on you,â Levi grumbles angrily next to you, a scowl evident on his face.
You sigh softly, appreciating his protection, but also anticipating a conversation later. You place a hand on his that rests on his thigh, rubbing your thumb back and forth across his fingers, and the tension in his shoulders seems to dissipate slightly. You understand, heâs worried about everything â so are you.
The doors open shortly after, a seemingly less irate Ymir striding through the doorway with Historia by her side â although her features are still in their natural state of annoyance. She takes a seat directly across from you while Historia takes hers across from Levi. âFrom the beginning,â she snaps, gesturing with her hand loosely before crossing her arms over her chest.
You tell her everything; how Zeke ambushed your brothers â you donât miss the tension returning to Levi â the letter he sent you, every detail about the journey intended for Zaramund to negotiate until a storm caused your ship to crash on their shores. Historia lets out small gasps through the whole thing, and you notice how her eyes tear up when you mention your brothersâ deaths. Ymirâs eyebrows are slightly less furrowed by the time you finish explaining your side of things, her anger turning into reluctant understanding.
âI am so sorry about your brothers,â Historia mutters, wiping away tears from the corners of her eyes. âI am glad you landed on our shores before you arrived at Zaramund.â
âThank you. I am as well,â you tell her gratefully.
Ymir speaks before you can continue. âYou must know the state of Kaslogon before you start your journey again.â She sighs, and for the first time she looks tired, a hand placed on her forehead as she supports herself on the table. âYouâre going to hate this.â
âWe have a plan,â Erwin speaks up.
âYeah?â Ymir lifts her head. âYou can probably forego following that.â She hesitates, looking over at Historia for approval â Historia nods. âGrisha and Carla Jaeger are dead.â
Your lips part in shock, the hand resting gently on Leviâs now squeezing tightly as you try not to panic.
Youâre too late. Zeke has enacted his plan and already killed his parents.
âWhat about Eren Jaeger?â Hange asks, their face curious as you process.
âSurvived, but his location is unknown,â Historia says softly. âApparently it was an assassinationâ killed by poison.â
âIt was Zeke,â you tell them. You emphasize his point in his letter that made it known he would do anything to have you and stolen land.
âIâm going to kill that man,â Levi says on your right, still holding your hand but using the other one to press a fist into the table.Â
âWell,â Ymir hums. âSeems we actually have something in common. Heâs a tyrant, and once heâs secured you heâs going to come for Navarre with full force.â
âHe wonât be securing anything,â Levi growls. Erwin raises a hand to him, gesturing for him to relax. You can tell it makes him more angry, but he obeys regardless and sits with his lips pressed into a thin line, jaw clenched.
âOur plan involved your help once we found ourselves in your territory,â Erwin starts. âI believe itâs in both of our best interests to work together in this war to stop Zeke.â
Historia looks over at Ymir, sighing softly before she looks back at Erwin. âWe agree,â she says. âI wish no harm against Mirlenas despite our differences, and I do not wish for Aeron to suffer such a fate from the hands of Zeke Jaeger.â
âWeâre willing to provide you supplies,â Ymir continues on for Historia. âWhatever you need to end this war before it goes further into our territory. I hope whatever you have planned will end with peaceful negotiations, but Zeke is a mad man.â
You look over at Erwin â heâs smiling. âZeke himself can be handled, but I fear it will end with bloodshed.â
â
Your guest bedroom is smaller than the ones you have in Mirlenas, with just enough room for a full size bed and a vanity. Levi stands guard outside your door, and you didnât miss the look of longing he gave you when the door was closed and Miche gestured to show him his own room. Youâve been spoiled recently, able to share a bed with him throughout your travels and to constantly be with him.
Youâre pacing the room, fidgeting with the plain cotton skirts Mrs. MacLerie had given you. Should you bother him in the hallway, request that he stay the night with you? You fear being too attached, too reliant on him, when you should be able to handle sleeping alone for one night before your journey resumes. Your sleep is just so uninterrupted with him, nightmare-less â dreamless. His arms wrapped around you is what makes you feel safe alongside his promises of always protecting you. Youâre his now, and he yours.
You sigh, and swing open the door with a roll of your eyes at your behavior. Levi immediately straightens up off the wall, looking at you with furrowed eyebrows and concern. You donât have to say a word for him to understand, and you can see in his eyes that heâs grateful you want him inside. He steps through the doorway as you step aside, and your nerves are back again when he doesnât say anything.
âWe should talk,â you say, your voice sounding small. You cringe at your words, knowing if they were said to you that you would immediately panic. âEverythingâs fine,â you blurt out when you see his mouth open â it snaps shut.
He ponders for a moment. âOkay.â
You frown, and begin pacing the room again. He sits down on the edge of your bed, waiting patiently for you to begin.
âWe are equals,â you state. You cast a side glance over at him, seeing him staring at you with a blank face â you look down again. âIf weâre going to do this⊠If weâre going to negotiate with Zeke, Iâm going to need you by my side regardless of the decision I make. Iâm an inexperienced Queen, I know, but youâll make me look like a fool if you question my authority.â
You keep pacing, nerves getting the best of you as you continue to fidget with the fabric of your skirts. You desperately want to break the habit, and you force your hands by your sides as they end up in fists instead.
Levi stares at you as you pace back and forth, fists now clenched by your sides instead of incessantly pulling at the threads in your skirts. He hates hearing that manâs name, the same man that killed your brothers and Furlan, the same man that killed his own parents. Levi feels this urge to protect you fiercely as soon as the name is mentioned â heâd do anything for you.
But he heard what you said, and he fears that heâs overstepped your boundaries when he didnât mean to. He doesnât know how to balance it, the unquenchable desire to be your protector, to love you, and the side of him that is still your loyal Chevalier. Youâre right, and he knows that.
Youâre startled by Levi grasping your hands, unfurling your fingers so youâre no longer pressing your nails into your palms, your head jerking up to meet his eyes. âYouâre right,â he says softly. You stare into his eyes, those beautiful pools of grey that look at you so softly now. âYou are my lover, but you are also my Queen. I trust you, and I will push down my instincts to protect you when you are fully capable.â His hand comes up to hold the side of your face, his thumb brushing the soft skin under your eye. âI fear there is going to be a moment where I canât be there for you when you need me.â He lets go of your face, taking a step back as he frowns at the ground.
You stare at him for a moment, the overwhelming pressure in your heart making you speechless. You can see the frustration and sadness in his features as he stares down at the ground, jaw clenched. Memories of Auguste, Theo, and Furlanâs deaths no doubt passing behind his eyes, the hopeless feeling of despair overwhelming him.Â
You step forward and reach out, a gentle finger under Leviâs chin tilting his head back up. âI am here now,â you tell him softly. âWe are here now, and until we join the stars as well then we will both do what we can.â You press your lips against his in a soft kiss, gentle enough to feel the way he exhales in relief. âI cannot live without enjoying your presence fully now, Levi. We have bickered for far too long, and as long as we live I will take your protection as long as you will allow me to protect you,â you whisper against his lips.
His eyes are closed as you look at him with half-lidded eyes, his lips slightly parted as he awaits more of your lips against his. His hands find your waist, and he gently tugs the laces of your corset free. âIâll do anything you tell me to,â he whispers, eyes still closed as he removes your garment. They open just slightly. âIâm yours.â
You kiss him, firmly molding your lips against his as they move languidly together. Your hands find the cravat tied around his neck, fingers nimbly untying the fabric to cast it aside as Leviâs hands bunch up the fabric of your skirts to lift over your head. You only part for a moment to help him rid the fabric from your body, his fingers untying the flimsy skirt support around your waist as your own begin unbuttoning his blouse. Your lips come in contact again. He shivers under your touch, casting aside the skirt support and assisting you by lifting his blouse over his head by the collar once youâve unbuttoned it enough.
You donât immediately connect again, taking your time to relish in the view of Levi in just a pair of trousers before you. Youâve never seen him shirtless before, only a peek at his abdomen when he would wipe his brow free of sweat during a rigorous training session, but you had never paid much attention to the man. Now you openly ogle at him, staring shamelessly at the curves of his muscles, the way they flex slightly under your watchful eye, the way coarse dark hair trails down from his naval and disappears under his trousers. His hair is slightly tousled from his shirt being swept over his head, dark bangs barely hiding the lustful gaze he looks at you with. Heâs always been remarkably handsome, piercing grey eyes, sharp, but soft, features, and youâre so grateful youâre the one that gets to see him so closely.
You bravely step forward again, fingers beginning to undo the buttons of Leviâs trousers. He brushes your hair behind your ear. âWhat are you doing?â he mumbles, grabbing your hands to stop your process.
âI owe you,â you smile at him and lean in to kiss him again, freeing your hands from his to continue.
âYou owe me nothing,â he whispers against your lips, his hands coming up to cup both sides of your face.
âPleaseâ let me please you,â you breathe, begging for just a small taste of him, anything. You walk him back to the bed when he doesnât openly oppose, guiding him to take a seat when the back of his knees press against the edge of the mattress. Your fingers finally finish unbuttoning his trousers as you kneel on the ground, gently pulling them, along with his undergarments, down as he lifts his hips to assist you and kicks them off to the side with his shoes.
You openly gape when his cock springs free, already hard and inflamed at the tip as it leaks a small amount of clear fluid. You look up at him, eyes doe eyed and innocent, and Levi bites back a groan at the sight. âYou donât have to,â he tells you honestly, because he can tell you might be overwhelmed by the pressure of performing well for your first time.Â
âI want to,â you insist.
Your lips are barely parted as Levi brushes his thumb against your bottom lip, pushing past and watching as you immediately close your lips around it to suck on it. You pull your mouth off with a pop, your cheeks flushing at the sound as you keep looking up at him. He looks patient, blank features staring down at you with only the kind look in his eyes telling you that itâs okay if you back out now, that heâll still hold you tonight while you sleep.
You keep your eyes locked on his as you take him in your mouth, lips wrapped around the head of his cock with hollowed cheeks. The gasp Levi letâs out is unexpected, and you savor the sound of his unabashed moan that escapes him when you take him further. His skin is slightly salty as you wrap your tongue around him, coaxing another soft moan from him as he gathers your hair to hold it back for you in one hand, establishing a grip against your scalp. Youâve never done this before, but you try your best based on instinct.
âFuck,â Levi moans, his chest heaving up and down as you bob your head. âHowââ Levi letâs out a small whine when you push down further, determined to take him fully as you close your eyes and feel the dark hairs on his skin brush against your nose. âChrist, Aeronâ shitâ youâre gonna make me cum.â You gag slightly and pull back, swirling your tongue around the head of his cock as you use your hand to slide up and down the rest you canât quite fit.Â
You open your eyes to look up at him, tears forming on your waterline and drool spilling from the corners of your mouth. God, youâre a sight to behold, and Levi pulls back on your hair to lift you off of him when he feels his climax approaching fast, your hand still pumping him to completion. He canât remember the last time he finished this quickly even by his own hand.
His cum spurts in white hot ropes against his abdomen, coating his skin as you watch his eyebrows furrow with pleasure, eyes closed and mouth agape in silent ecstasy. His breathing is labored when he comes down from his high, cheeks flushed as he opens his eyes to look down at you staring up at him in awe. Heâs beautiful, strikingly so, and being the source of his pleasure has your own stomach twisting in knots as your clit throbs.
âCome âere,â he says, assisting you as you stand up, wobbly from being on your knees on the hard wooden flooring. You sit down next to him, grabbing at the skirts on the ground to wipe him clean. âI guess Mrs. MacLerie doesnât need those back,â he mumbles, taking the fabric from your hands to wipe his abdomen.
You laugh lightly, feeling as though youâre walking in the clouds now. âNo, I donât think so,â you mutter, leaning into his side to kiss him softly. Itâs slow, gentle, as he relaxes under your touch and you move to straddle him, hands cupping his face as you swing your leg over his. You canât get enough of him, desperate to feel all of him against you, desperate to feel his cock throb inside you and coat your walls instead of his abdomen.
âAeron,â he breathes against your lips, hands grabbing your hips as your chemise rides up and exposes your ass and cunt. You lower yourself down, gasping at the feeling of your wet pussy coming into contact with Leviâs soft cock. âWhat are you doing?â he gasps as you start rocking your hips back and forth, feeling his cock rub through your folds and into your clit, hardening as you continue.
âFeeling you,â you moan. âOh.â
âI canât claim you here,â he groans, but his hands do nothing but move to your ass as you continue to grind yourself against him.
âStop being such a gentleman,â you mutter, tilting your head back and closing your eyes, wishing he would just fuck you right here and now as your arms drape over his shoulders.
âI am to a fault,â he mumbles, leaning forward to press kisses onto your neck. âI want to savor you, take my time with you.â
âPlease, Levi,â you whimper. Every time you feel the tip of his cock rub your clit you feel breathless, stimulated, but not quite enough to make you feel euphoric.
His hand makes itâs way to your throat, establishing a gentle grip on the sides to just barely cut off the blood flow to your head and making you feel all the more inebriated off of him. âThen you can do it, my sweet girl,â he hums against your collarbones, lips trailing down to your chest above your breasts. âMake yourself cum all over my cock.â His voice is barely a whisper, and the lewd sound of your wet folds gliding over him make you blush.
Your head is tilted back, relishing in the feeling of your bodies pressed so closely together as you let out a gasp. âHelp me,â you whimper, needing just a little more stimulation than grinding against him provides. He doesnât hesitate, the hand guiding you forward and back by your ass instantly coming in between your bodies to apply circles to your clit.
âThatâs it,â he mumbles, pulling you back to him by your throat and kissing you as you whine against his lips. You pant through your open mouth kisses, eyes scrunched shut in concentration as he gets you off. Youâre so close, desperation lacing itâs way into the sound of your breaths and moans as you reach the cusp of your climax. âCum for me, amourâ Fuck youâre drenching me filthy girl,â Levi groans, your breath mingling together as you both get lost in the feeling of each other. Nothing matters but him.
You cum hard all over him, eyes rolling back as he lets go of your throat to help you through it by grabbing your hip, his thumb still making circles over your clit. You practically black out, vision blanking as you feel nothing but bliss pulse through you. Levi guides you through it until youâre panting, head falling forward into the crook of his neck while his arms wrap around you to support you. His hands glide under your chemise, rubbing soothing circles into your lower back as it rides up your waist.
God, he can feel you clenching, drooling all over his cock thatâs hardened again and he resists the urge to fuck you into the mattress. He can feel the mess of your cream dribbling onto his thighs, creating a sticky concoction of sweat and your cum to clean up in a moment, but he bares it for you despite his urge to immediately get clean. Youâre ruining him, absolutely taking all of his willpower away when it comes to serving you â the woman he never thought heâd bend over backwards for, but he canât imagine it any other way now.
You feel drained, and youâre not sure how long itâs been when Levi finally pushes your shoulders gently and a hand comes up to hold the side of your face. âYou alright?â he asks softly. You nod, only a mumble coming out in response. A deep rumble of a laugh comes from him, a satisfied smirk on his lips. âSo pretty when youâre fucked out like this,â he hums, his thumb gently swiping against your bottom lip. You give him a delirious smile in response.
âYou stay?â you ask him softly, voice sweetened in hopes of him holding you as you fall asleep.
âOf course,â he murmurs, swiping leftover tears from your cheeks.
âYou donât care what the others might think?â you ask, head tilted as you lean into his touch.
âAs if they donât already know,â he mumbles. âCome âere.â
He easily lifts you with him as he stands up, your legs instinctively wrapping around him as he supports you with his hands on your ass. He carries you to the side of the bed, using one hand to pull back the covers as he supports you effortlessly, and lays you down under the sheets. âStay here,â he whispers to you, and bends down to kiss your forehead.
Levi picks up his clothes that are scattered on the ground, buttoning up his trousers and throwing on his blouse â he doesnât bother tucking it in or fixing his hair. He looks over at you and canât help but smile softly at the way youâve seemed to instantly fall asleep, the travels of the day finally catching up with you. He makes his way to the door, putting on his boots and shutting it as softly as he can behind him as he exits your temporary bedroom in search of warm water and cloth to clean you, and himself, up before he joins you in bed.
He wanders the halls, the dark stone contrasting the white painted wood heâs accustomed to in Mirlenas. He makes it down one hall on his way to the kitchen Miche had shown him earlier when he runs into Ymir herself, stopping as soon as he rounds the corner and she comes into view.
âAh, guard dog,â she hums, smirking â the nickname makes the hair on his neck rise. âI see you had some fun tonight. Bedding an unmarried womanâ a Queen at that? Thatâs quite brave for a Mirlenas knight.â
Levi isnât sure if heâs gotten more bold because of where he stands with you now, but he has to bite back his curses at the woman before him. âItâs Levi.â
She laughs. âAlright fine, Levi,â she scoffs. âHowâd you end up lucky enough to bed a woman like Aeron?â
He doesnât bother correcting her, telling her that he hasnât technically bedded you. âI was her brotherâs Chevalier,â he tells her honestly, crossing his arms as he looks at her. âHers in the last three years of his life.â
âAh,â she says, gesturing for him to follow her â he hesitantly moves. âAnd you were there for their deaths? Witnessed them?â
Levi stills, footsteps pausing on the cold stone floor. She turns around to face him, a split second of shock displaying on her features before she controls them again. He can feel the amount of fury showing on his face as he spits out through clenched teeth, âDo notââ
âRight,â she says and turns back around. âSensitive subject.â Her footsteps continue forward and Levi reluctantly follows. She leads him through the corridors, long hallways that donât turn too much to the point where heâll get lost, and soon sheâs opening a door and holding it behind her for him. The small room has linens on the shelves, and Ymir takes a few cloths down and throws them at him â he catches them easily with a scowl on his face. âYou know, Aeron seems like a special woman, much better than her father,â Ymir continues while she walks out, clearly expecting him to follow. âSheâs fiesty, and Miche tells me you got upset with her for revealing who she was at the gates.â
âI wasnâtââ
âShe has courage,â Ymir interrupts, looking back at him over her shoulder. âAnd honestly, sheâs the only one capable of taking down Zeke in the end whether she makes it or not.â
Levi scoffs. âAs if she wouldnât make it.â
She whirls on him. âWell then you better be there. Every step of the goddamn way,â she sneers. âHistoria might have faith in Mirlenas, but the only person thatâs shown me they can handle it is Aeron. Even Commander Smith himself seems like heâs acting on a hunch and me and Historia canât afford a fucking gut feeling. If Zeke makes it here weâre done for.â
Leviâs fists clench around the white cotton cloths Ymir had given him and steps forward to meet her challenge. âYou act like you know everything, but you have no idea what Iâd do for her.â
âWould you die for her?â Ymir questions viciously.
âI would do anything for her. I would die the worst death if it meant she would be freed from whatever threatens her,â he vehemently tells her. âYou know nothing. You know absolutely nothing about us, or the bond we shareââ
âYouâre mated?â Ymir takes a step back, bewildered.
âNoââ
âHow can you be bonded if youâre not mated?â
âWe willââ
âPray itâs not too late when you decide to,â she huffs and spins around, pushing a swinging door open to the kitchen as Levi follows her.
âSheâs mine, and I hers,â Levi says, quieter this time. âZeke wonât lay a hand on her even if it means my own death to protect her, and Kaslogon will have no rein over any more land. Weâre fighting him ourselves and you should be grateful for the protection your country is being provided.â
Ymir grips the counter, her back facing Levi as he stands by the entryway. âWe are,â Ymir mutters. âYouâve been gone too long.â She grabs a kettle of water and pours it into a small craft, shoving the already warm water into Leviâs grip. âGo.â
Levi wordlessly takes it from her and steps out, leaving Ymir to sit quietly in the kitchen.
Sheâs scared, Levi thinks as he makes his way back to you, and he canât blame her. The only thing he fears is losing you, and he can sense that Ymir is only scared of losing Historia to a war they canât win. Heâs already tired and selfishly wants to live in the moments where itâs just you and him, when heâs holding you so close your heartbeats practically melt into one.
He exhales softly, looking down at the ground before he slowly enters the room to take care of you.
â
âAre you prepared for this?â Erwinâs voice cuts into your thoughts.
Youâve gotten yourself together, disregarding Historiaâs attempts at sending in a handmaiden and opting to get yourself ready. Youâve braided your hair and styled it in an updo, something that will last the journey to Zaramund. Ymir had delivered fresh clothing for you and youâve changed into the woolen skirts and cotton blouse, a thin chemise that was made out of quality cotton underneath, and a woolen cloak for your shoulders. You didnât miss the look her and Levi shared as she stepped into your room and spotted him â you didnât ask about it, only glad theyâve come to some understanding it seems.
Your temporary horse whinnies under you, a dark mare that made you miss Saxson deeply, made you wonder if he was happily grazing next to Arwen on the coast of Mirlenas. Historia and Ymir provided supplies for you in a small wagon led by two smaller horses, and the rest of your soldiers were provided their own. You expressed your gratitude to both Historia and Ymir, earning a kind smile accompanied by a hug from Historia and a reluctant nod from the latter telling you to ânot mess this one up.â
Youâre almost positive you caught the upturn of her lip when you smiled back at her.
Erwin sat proudly on his own stallion by your side, regarding you with such care he rivaled Levi now in the way he wordlessly vowed to protect you. âYes,â you simply answer him. Thereâs no need to elaborate on how your stomach twists into knots whenever you think about stepping foot inside the castle home to the Jaeger family. How could you ever be truly ready?
The easiest way to reach Zaramund would be to cross the bay between Navarre and Kaslogon territory, but it would leave you vulnerable to Zekeâs soldiers on the coastline â youâre not quite fond of water yet anyway. Instead you would be crossing through the valley of the mountain range that separated the two countries, a small path between towering mountains that would be covered in snow this time of year. From there it would be an easy trek into the capital city, but your nerves still threatened to overcome you.
And it started off simple enough, with two days passing by easily as you trekked across Navarreâs hillsides, rolling green making it easy to navigate and allowing horses to graze. Plenty of streams intertwined throughout the land, providing drinking water for your traveling squad. It was peaceful, nice even, while you appreciated the landscapes around you as your horses made their way through, or while you knelt down next to streams to fill the leather canteen provided to you.
It wasnât until you reached the start of the valley that your group came to a full stop. The map given to Erwin was clearly deceiving, showing more rolling green hills in between tall mountains, streams flowing down from the mountainside. Granted, it was winter, but the sight before you was not at all how you imagined or were told about.
The earth was brown, no longer covered in grass and resembling a desert instead with visible drought lines along the side of the mountains and clear signs of dried up streams. You couldnât blame the Queens, they warned you they havenât had anyone travel these areas since the war began, and with a harsh winter already making itâs presence known far worse in Navarre than Southern Mirlenas, a drought before the snow melted was inevitable.Â
The air was dry and chilled you to the bone as it swept in between the mountains, blowing the stray hairs that have managed to escape your tied up hair back. One hundred kilometers of this would have to be crossed to reach the other side where you had no idea about the terrain of Kaslogon. Youâve heard your father talk about how sparse it normally is, and you can only hope that in a twist of luck that the land spares you from itâs usual standing.
âWeâll stock up on water half a kilometer back and then make our way through,â Erwin announces to your soldiers. You give him a nod, tugging on the reins of your horse to turn her around and earning a disgruntled huff in return.
â
Any gods that may exist have never been on your side.
The sight was startlingly contrasted; white peaked mountains sloping down to dusty cliff sides. You were surrounded by snow you couldnât reach, and dirt that had no life to it. Youâre almost there â roughly seventy five kilometers have been trekked, and youâre just starting to grow weary as the sun sets. Shadows grow longer, the sky darkening and revealing the stars above your heads with some getting shadowed by the mountain tops.
âWe should rest,â Levi speaks up, addressing Erwin. Youâve slumped down a bit on top of your horse, posture weak and limbs growing tired of riding all day. Youâll be on the outskirts of Zaramund tomorrow evening, but Erwin wants to camp just out of reach of the capital city so you can all gather the needed strength.Â
I fear it will end with bloodshed.Â
You hope thatâs not the case.
All of the horses come to a stop, with Petra and Eld directing the horses towing the wagon to stop and allow access to supplies. You werenât as prepared as you were in Mirlenas, settling for rucksacks instead of tents and hoping it wouldnât rain on you despite the needed water. You hopped off your horse, beating Leviâs attempted assistance, and began helping set up camp. You didnât know much, but you could at least help Petra gather supplies for cooking tonight's meal over the fire being prepared.
âWe can take care of things,â Levi tells you, reaching into the back of the wagon for a crate â Petra glances over at you with slightly raised brows, taking that as her signal to leave your side to give you privacy.
âWhat kind of leader would I be if I let everyone do this for me?â you ask him, turning your body to face him with a hand on your hip.
He looks at you for a moment and then glances around to see everyone else busy with a task as the two of you are partially hidden behind the wagon. âRight,â he mutters and kisses your forehead. âIâm only letting you know that you can take a break if you need it.â
He walks away with a crate in his hands, a knowing look on his face. You frown in his direction before gathering more supplies for Petra.
âThank you, Aeron,â Petra smiles at you when you hand her a pot and cooking utensils. Itâs just the two of you as you both kneel down by the fire, settling in to hang the pot and get dinner situated for the rest of the group. You look up and spot Levi, discussing with Erwin and Hange, although youâre not sure what and canât tell by the animated look on Hangeâs face and the bored expression on Leviâs â Erwin is simply listening.
You hear it before you see it.
A gunshot rings out, the sound of a rifle piercing through the laughter and calm sounds of your soldiers setting up camp. Petra tackles you to the ground hastily, using her body to shield yours as she urges you to crawl with her under the wagon of supplies to take cover. Your eyes are wide, heart rate soaring with the adrenaline pumping through your veins as you hold onto her and she does the same to you.
Then you see it â them. Eld and Gunther are lying down in the dirt, blood pooling around their bodies as everyone frantically takes cover and grabs their weapons. You gag, choking back your tears and the fear thatâs consuming you as you look onto the chaos unfolding. You miss the eye contact Petra makes with Levi before sheâs pulling you out from under the wagon despite your protests, kicking up dirt as both of you scuffle towards him.
âGo!â Petra pushes you towards him, causing you to stumble forward and barely catch yourself before Levi is pulling you up with one strong arm. Your legs straddle the front of the saddle, your back pressed so tightly to his chest you can feel his frantic heartbeat.
He positions you in front of him on his stallion, using both hands on the reins with arms that cage you in as you frantically look around and the horse sprints forward. Mikasa is hidden behind part of the wagon, using it as cover as she aims a rifle up into the mountains, a determined look set on her features. Armin is next to her, crouched down and holding a musket as he watches her back.
Your eyes find Oluo next, lying on the ground with Petra leaning over him as she frantically shakes him. You gasp, and turn your head down when you see his knee cap blown out and blood leaking from his thigh like a geyser.
âEyes forward Aeron,â Leviâs deep, comforting voice intercepts your dark thoughts. âIâve got you.â
You feel obligated to listen to the smooth intonation of his voice, his words trying to pull you back from spiraling as your mind wanders to thoughts of your brothers and the way they probably suffered in death. You keep your eyes focused on the horn of the saddle, your hands holding it so tight your knuckles become lighter in colour. You have to trust Levi to get you two out of this, trust that Erwin, Hange, and your soldiers will make it out alive â you know youâre their priority and you hate it.
â
Levi rides throughout the night, your body nestled against his chest and in between his arms as his borrowed stallion carries him forward. Youâre sleeping now after hours of traveling and worn off adrenaline. Your body is turned just enough for you to rest your head on his shoulder while one arm holds your waist tightly to make sure youâre okay, his arm remaining flexed to keep you secure.
Heâs angry, scared, and desperate to feel safe again. He caught glimpses of the Kaslogon emblems on the men that attacked them, and he wonders why the hell youâre even going to negotiate instead of declaring an all out war with them. But he knows how you are, how desperate for peace you are without bloodshed.
He holds you tighter. Youâre okay. Youâre alive.
He didnât check to see if anyone was okay, didnât bother stopping the sprint of his horse just to see if any of his comrades were following him out of the mess. The decided campsite for the next evening is his destination, a marked spot on the map thatâs in Erwinâs possession and Levi can only hope he makes it to the right spot.
He rides for a few more hours until he sees the lake that looks to be the same size as the one on the map, the sun making itâs way over the horizon and casting a soft glow onto your cheeks. Heâs glad you got some sleep, and heâs glad youâll have a whole day and night to rest and get your bearings before Erwin inevitably forces you to move into the capital city of Zaramund.
Levi pulls on the reins with one hand to have the horse gently come to a stop, a small huff coming from the animal that deserves to rest as long as it can before he drags it into hell again. You stir, a small mumble that Levi manages to smile at as he looks down at your pretty face resting against him. He lifts his hand from the reins, using a thumb to caress your cheek and wake you up further from your sleep.
âWeâre here, mon cĆur,â Levi mutters to you. You open your eyes and stare up at him, the swirling of your irises that are warmed by the sun taking his breath away. âYouâre okay,â he whispers, to reassure you that heâs got you, that heâs taken care of you and protected you from harm, in your sleepy state.Â
You remain quiet and tilt your head up, the soft press of your lips making him melt into you as your lips move gently against his own. He sighs when you break apart, soft breaths mingling with his as he leans his forehead against yours.Â
Youâre okay. Youâre alive.
â
Itâs well into the next evening by the time you hear the distinct sound of hooves running against the soft grassy earth around the lake. Levi keeps you and the horse hidden well, letting you rest after heâs woken up from a nap and feeding you with a rabbit he managed to catch with a simple trap. Your eyes are frantic as he pulls you against a tree with him, holding you close as he peers around the bark and out into the open plains of rolling hills.
You can feel the tension leaving his body as he letâs out a sigh of relief, his hold loosening on you ever so slightly and signaling to you that itâs not the enemy. You allow him to help you up, his hand firmly grasping yours to guide you out from cover.
Your eyes tear up immediately when you see Erwin riding strong on top of his white stallion, Hange next to him on their own horse. You feel the tears fall when you see their head wrapped in bandages, one eye covered with a small blotch of blood soaked into the fabric.
The rest of your soldiers follow suit, and your heart feels like itâs in your throat when Petra rides at the back of the group on top of your dark mare, her face covered in grief. You let Leviâs hand go and run to meet your soldiers, your friends. Erwin is the first to get off his horse, practically leaping off and handing the reins over to Armin next to him, and then heâs waiting for you with open arms as you hurl yourself into him.
He crouches down to hug you, large arms wrapping around your frame and engulfing you tightly as you cry into his dirtied no-longer-white blouse. He letâs go of you to check if youâre hurt, calloused hands swiping your hair off your face and holding your cheeks to get a good look at you. His touch reminds you of Auguste, and your hands come up to hold the back of his as you give him a small, sad smile.
Hange walks up next to you, and you donât miss the look of shock when you abandon Erwinâs touch to give them a hug. âIâm okay,â they mutter softly, and you make a mental note to ask them about their eye later.
The rest of your soldiers say their hellos, sorrow permeating the air with so much thickness you could choke on it as the tears never leave your eyes. They find their spots on the grass, sitting down with exhaustion leaking out of their bones after tying their horses up to rest and graze on the long grass.
Your eyes find Petra again once Erwin and Hange leave your side to talk to Levi, and your already broken heart aches when you see her sitting atop your mare, her dejected spirit idle. You wipe the tears from your cheeks and walk up to her quietly, carefully, as if she was a hunted wounded animal seconds away from startling.Â
âPetra, mon amour,â you mutter. She startles, big golden brown eyes looking down at you from her spot on top of your horse. Her hands are covered in blood, the front of her uniform stained red from holding her loved ones close as they die. âLetâs get you cleaned up.â

You keep your eyes closed as you smack your lips together, your mouth as dry as a desert. Grainy sand sticks to your skin, under your clothes, and all you can smell is the salty, pungent air of the sea. You crack one eye open, instantly blinded by the white of the sun, and try your best to squint as you adjust to the light with your hand in front of your face.
The sand is almost yellowish underneath you â much different than the white sands of Mirlenas. You donât know what Kaslogon looks like, but you can only hope that you made it to your destination along with everyone else. You feel disgusting â your mouth feels like thereâs cotton in it, and your senses are barely coming to you. You can feel how disheveled your hair is, and all you can think about is how uncomfortable you are untilâ
âMiss?â a small voice makes your body jerk upright, frantically looking for the sound.
A little boy stands a few meters away, a stick in his hand and his red hair is getting tousled in the wind. Heâs wearing plain brown trousers, and a loose white blouse that flutters in the breeze. His feet are bare, and it looks like he was just kneeling down in the sand moments ago.
âWhere am I?â you ask. Your senses are finally coming to you; the overbearing storm, the waves crashing against the boat, that blissful feeling of limbo before youâre carriedâ âWere there any other survivors?â you ask urgently, working on standing up as you push your hands into the sand.
He looks at you like youâve gone mad and runs the opposite direction.
âHey!â you shout. âWait!â But you donât have the energy to chase him. You all but collapse back to the ground.
All you can hope for is that the rest of the crew made it out alive, that the Captain managed to dock the ship somewhere on the coast. You hope Levi is okay, and as you think about it tears spring to your eyes. You hope heâs alive, that he was safe on the ship or he made it to some beach just like you have. You sniff, and attempt to wipe off the sand from your damp skirts â itâs useless.
âMiss?â A womanâs voice sounds from behind you and you whip your head around to see. The little boy seems to have brought his parents, and heâs holding both of their hands as they walk towards you. âAre ye alright?â
âWhere am I?â you ask again. Youâre fine.
The woman looks over at her husband. âNavarre,â she tells you as she makes it to your side â that explains her accent. She kneels down to help you. âYou must be with the rest of âem.âÂ
âThe rest?â you ask her, eyes wide. Did they make it? Is everyone alright? Is Levi alright? Erwinâ
âThe ship crashed just ovaâ theer,â she tells you, pointing down the beach to an area you canât see. âCome. Weâll make ye some supperââ
You accept her help, and offer her husband a brief nod. The boy wonât stop staring at you, but he seems curious as he peeks around his fatherâs leg.
âTheerâs a man thatâs out right losinâ his mind ovaâ theer,â her husband speaks up. âMaybe you know whatâs wrong witâ him. We got to him first, but he wanted to look on the beachâ Iâm assuminâ for ye.â
You try not to break out into a sprint, knowing your body canât handle it. It has to be Levi, and you feel your heart seize with the possibility of seeing him again.
They lead you off the beach and you soon see a decent sized house along the coastline. Thereâs figures lingering nearby and your heart beat increases as you see the crashed ship on the shore.
âWeâve fed âem a bit,â the woman speaks up again. âThe lot of ye are just too worked up for some of ye to eat properly.â
You donât answer her, not when you can see familiar faces coming closer. Your soldiers are eating, and you can just make out Hangeâs glasses glinting in the sun. One lens seems to be missing, but at least they managed to hold onto them. You canât find Erwin, and the closer you get you realize you canât find Levi either.
Connie turns his head, eyes going wide when he sees you. âShit!â
All eyes turn to you, and youâre practically bombarded by familiar faces as the three Navarre natives step out of the way so theyâre not trampled. Thereâs a jumbled mess of voices, everyone speaking at once, and youâre overwhelmed. Youâve barely regained consciousness and you can feel how weak your body is â you need food, and probably a good sleep.
âOi!â Leviâs voice cuts through the air and you feel as though your heart drops to your stomach. The crowd parts, mutters of âsorryâ and âweâre glad youâre okayâ mumbled to you as Levi practically pushes Sasha and Connie away from you.Â
His face is relieved, but still guarded in front of everyone, and his hair is so uncharacteristically disheveled that you would laugh if you werenât so exhausted. You briefly catch a glimpse of Erwin behind him, ensuring that youâre okay without intruding. Leviâs shirt is half unbuttoned, his trousers are covered in sand still and his clothing is slightly damp like yours. He couldnât have been brought here much sooner than yourself.
You all but collapse into him when heâs close enough, wrapping your arms around his neck to barely support yourself while his arms around your torso do most of the work. You want to kiss him, to hold him so closely to you and never let go, but you refrain while youâre in front of the dispersing soldiers. For now you relish in the feeling of him supporting your weak body.
âLevi,â you mumble into his neck.
âIâm here,â he whispers to you. âLetâs get you cleaned up.â
You separate, and before you can think about it heâs lifting you up in his arms to carry you into the seaside home your hosts have graciously offered you. You let your head rest against his chest, his strong heartbeat calming you down as he holds you. He takes you straight to the small washroom in the house, clear traces of other soldiers cleaning up and sand left behind. Levi gently sets you down, keeping his hands on your waist to keep you stable.
âYouâre okay?â you ask him, looking up into his eyes as you support yourself against the wall and he closes the door.
âIâm okay,â he reassures you. He brushes his thumb along your cheek, his eyes darting around your features as if heâs checking to see if youâre really there. âPetra is getting you warm water. She can help you bathe.â He kisses your forehead.
Your eyes close as you nod, grateful to be in his presence again.
Levi helps Petra carry in the water to the metal tub in the washroom, filling it with warm water so you can take a much needed bath. He gives a small nod to her on his way out.
âCan I get ye a cup of tea?â the woman asks Levi, and he letâs out a sigh of relief.
âPlease,â he sighs. âThank you, Mrs..?â
âMacLerie, Isla MacLerie.â She smiles at him. âMy husband is Graham.â
âWe appreciate your hospitality,â Erwin chimes in behind Levi, nodding to Mrs. MacLerie.
Youâve been asleep for two hours when Levi feels like he can finally breathe again. Mrs. MacLerie had made him a cup of tea, and while it wasnât the same quality he was used to in Mirlenas, he enjoyed it all the same as he sat across from Erwin at the rectangular dining table.
âSheâs alright?â Erwin asks him, concern evident in his tone and on his features.Â
âYeah.â Levi takes a sip of his tea. âPhysically sheâs fine, but sheâll be an utter mess when she finds out about Marco.â
âHe was a good kid,â Erwin says. He leans back in his chair, abandoning his own tea on the table.
Levi scoffs. âShe loves those kids. Sheâs going to blame herself.â Levi knows youâll feel like you could have done more.
âSheâll learn with time that will wear her down,â Erwin hums. He looks lost in thought as he stares down at the table.
âWhat?â Levi asks sharply. He knows that look.
Erwin looks up abruptly and sits up straighter when he realizes Levi has been scrutinizing him. âIâm just glad sheâs alive.â
âAnd?â
âAuguste would kill me in the afterlife if she wasnât,â Erwin laughs humorlessly. âI should have been there, shouldâve kept both of you safe.â
âYou donât owe me shit,â Levi grumbles. âSheâs strong. She wouldâve made it no matter what.â
He tries not to think about how close he was to losing you, how helpless you looked tied up in ropes in the middle of the sea. He tries not to think about how his lungs burned and how helpless he felt until he broke the surface of the water. And he tries not to think about how helpless he would be without you â he doesnât think he could go on.
âYou are too,â Erwin says quietly.
Levi takes a sip of his tea and looks out the kitchen window.
â
You donât know what time it is when you wake up, but you think itâs morning from the way the sun pierces through the window in the room youâre sleeping in. Youâre not sure how long youâve slept, but now that you have youâre eager to move on from here â whether thatâs to Kaslogon or the capital of Navarre â Nala â youâre not sure.
Thereâs soft murmurs in the next room, but you canât tell who they belong to. Youâre grateful for the new clothing Mrs. MacLerie had given you to wear â being able to salvage your corset and only replace your skirts was helpful â and you push the blankets off your body. You still feel a bit wobbly on your feet, but you blame being out at sea for a month.
The floorboards creak under your feet as you stand and make your way to the door, eagerly pushing it open and following the path of the hallway to the main room. All conversation stops as all heads turn to you.
Mister and Missus MacLerie bow. âWe had no idea you were royalty, Your Majesty.âÂ
You frown. âPlease, at ease,â you tell them. âI am grateful for your hospitality. You owe us nothing.â They nod and stand up straight â youâre grateful. You turn to Erwin and Levi who are watching the interaction from the kitchen table. âErwin, do we have a plan of action?â You take a seat next to Levi, across from Erwin, and he places a hand on your thigh out of sight from the rest of the soldiers in the room that seem to be preoccupied anyway.
âWe do,â Erwin starts, âbut we do have casualties.âÂ
Your stomach drops, and you donât miss the glare Levi sends his way. âCasualties?â You look around the room and notice that Jean, Connie, and Marco arenât in the room. You saw Connie earlierâ âDonât⊠Marco and Jean?â
âMarco,â Levi says quietly next to you.
You can feel the tears brimming your eyes, and it takes all your strength to hold them back. You hate this cruel world for taking so many innocent lives, so many sweet human beings that should be left on this earth.
âJean was close to him,â Erwin continues. âItâs no ones fault. He was brave.â
âAnd for what?â you ask snarkily. âIt could all be for nothing.â You push your chair back to stand up. âOur journey has been delayed by who knows how long. This could be absolutely pointless. Weââ
âAeron,â Erwin interrupts, the same way Auguste used to.
âDo not interrupt me,â you snap. âAt this point we will be too late.â
âWe are going to Nala,â Erwin continues, unphased by you. âPlans change.â
Your hosts leave the room, allowing you to converse with Erwin and Levi freely as your own soldiers find things to do outside. Youâre angry, scared, and anxious to solve your problems. Zeke Jaeger could have killed his own family at this point and you would have no idea. It would make it difficult to negotiate with a tyrant, and no doubt would it end up in war. You can only hope Queen Historia and Ymir would know more information and you can admit that Erwin is right â it would be more efficient to meet with them in Nala to restock and then go to the capital of Kaslogon â Zaramunz.
Levi is quiet most of the time, but you know he agrees with Erwinâs plan. He would support you if you insisted on not following it, but you would be stupid not to â Erwin was Commander for a reason.
The conversation ends with a plan to go to Nala to restock on supplies and gain information, then you would head to Zaramunz as quickly as possible to try and prevent the war from furthuring.
Youâve sat back in your chair by now, and you tip your head back with a sigh, facing the ceiling.
âI apologize,â you say after a moment of silence, lifting your head back up and looking across the table at Erwin. You can tell heâs trying his best to be there for you, trying to fill the shoes that Auguste once did â heâs starting to resemble the father figure your brother had tried so hard to be. âYouâve been nothing but helpful, and I snapped.â
âIâve never expected you to not have emotions,â Erwin comments, brows dipped slightly with compassion. âItâs overwhelming, but you should also know weâll be paying our respects to Marco this evening before we move out at dawn.â
You nod, and get up to leave the room. Leviâs soft footsteps follow behind you as you trail outside.
âItâs not your fault,â Levi says. âYou couldnât have known.â
âIâm the reason weâre on this journey,â you scoff, walking towards the beach and past all the soldiers. They cast small looks they think you donât notice. âAll so I can negotiate with a man who most likely wonât listen.â
You trail through the long grass, down a small hill so youâre out of view from the rest of them, and stop on the edge so your boots donât touch the sand â youâve had enough sand. Levi stands next to you.
âYouâre being too hard on yourself,â Levi mutters.
âIâm the reason you barely made it out of that ocean alive,â you choke out â youâre starting to cry. âYou saved me because I was the idiot that wouldnât listen! I shouldâve stayed under the deck.â
âAnd we might have had a fate similar to Marco,â Levi responds instantly, turning his body to face you. âHe followed the rules and it got him killed. Whoâs to say it wouldnât have happened to us?â He brings a hand up, turning your face so youâll look him in the eyes with a thumb and finger grabbing your chin. âYouâre alive. I promised I would protect you.â
You close your eyes and try to calm your breathing so your tears will go away. âI donât know if I can do it, Levi,â you admit with your eyes still closed. âI felt so at peace when I was under the water. I could finally escape it all.â You open your eyes to look back at him and see tears forming on his waterline, his face blank. âI saw Auguste and Theo, but they looked so sad to see meâ like it wasnât my time.â
âIâm sorryâ I had to,â Levi whispers.
âIâm glad you saved me.â You say instantly. âI was so relieved when I found you. Iâ I donât want to be without you.â
His hand drops, and he doesnât say anything as he looks to the side out at the ocean. âWeâre going to get through it because we have to,â he says quietly. âWeâre stronger than that.â
âI know,â you whisper, letting your eyes drop to the ground. You clench your fists by your side. âWe are.â
You close your eyes. Itâs all so overwhelming, but youâre doing this for Auguste and Theo. Youâre doing this for your country. Youâre doing this for Erwin and Levi.Â
Youâre doing this for you.
You look up and tilt Leviâs face towards you to press your lips to his, meeting him with a fervent kiss that lights your insides on fire. His reaction is instantaneous and he grabs the nape of your neck and the side of your face to pull you close, the urgency clear in the way he holds you. The stress from earlier pours out from both of you, turning into a melting pot of desire and lust just to relieve some of the pain thatâs been brought. Itâs hot, and itâs messy, but itâs everything you need.Â
âCanât wait,â you breathe out in between. His bare skin against yours, his lips pressed to every inch of you, you need him inside you, to hold you close as he bites the nape of your neck.
âYou can,â he responds. His lips move to your jaw and then trail down to your throat where he nips at your skin. You let out a breathy moan, relishing in the feeling of Leviâs hands and lips all over your skin. His hands move down to your hips and he pulls you flush with his to rut against you. You desperately need him.
âLevi,â you plead. âI need you.â
He groans. âDonât do this, mon cĆur.â He moves his lips back up to your own and you whimper against his mouth.
Your hand travels to his front, between your bodies, and you palm his growing erection through his trousers, eliciting a throaty moan from him. âTouch me,â you beg. He feels larger than you thought he would be, than what your novels had described, and your clit throbs at the thought. God, you hope no one walks over here.
âYouâre ruining me,â he moans and a hand travels to the front of your skirt where he eagerly hikes the fabric up your leg. He finally gets the bunch of cloth up and you feel his cool fingertips graze the hot skin of your thigh, a gentle touch that sends sparks up your spine.
âYes,â you gasp. His fingers lightly brush against your clit and you whimper. Heâs looking at you through hooded eyes, holding you close enough to him with one hand on your waist as the other begins touching you. Youâve lost all concentration as you stare into his grey eyes, his fingers putting more pressure on you.
âHave you done this before?â he asks, but he knows the answer â heâs heard you before when you foolishly left your balcony doors open. You blush furiously, and he takes the opportunity of your distraction to push his fingers through your folds and over your quivering hole. âYou have,â he hums. âFingering yourself with your balcony doors wide open. Youâre lucky no one else heard.â
Your mouth opens to speak, but you gasp instead as his middle finger slips inside you. He heard you. You grab his wrist as he begins pumping in and out. âMmph,â you choke out. âLevi.â
âFuck youâre so tight,â he groans. âSo wet. Are you this wet when you touch yourself?â
âNoâ no only when you do,â you gasp as he inserts a second finger and curls upward. His thumb rubs against your clit in circles and your legs feel weak.
âWhat have you done to me,â he groans out as you touch him through his trousers again. âYou better hope no one comes over here.â
âThen make me cum,â you moan.
He uses his other hand to grab your throat instead of your waist, just enough to where you feel the pressure, and pumps his fingers deep inside you as he pulls you into him with your pussy. Heâs stroking you so perfectly, reaching a spot you never could with your own hand, and you feel yourself getting pushed over the edge when he presses his lips to yours.
You gush all over his hand, your clit throbbing as he guides you through it and you keep your lips pressed to his to hide your cries. He pulls his fingers out of you when he feels that youâve stopped squeezing his fingers, but he kisses you languidly, appreciating you. You look absolutely dazed when he pulls back and brushes your hair behind your ear â youâve left it down since youâve bathed.
âSo beautiful,â he murmurs mindlessly, thinking out loud.
You let out a breathy laugh as you lean your forehead against his. âI feel awful for doing that,â you tell him truthfully. âI should be mourning, and instead Iâm getting pleasured by you.â
He huffs out a laugh. âYou can do both, you know.â
You lean back and notice his flushed cheeks, and when you look down you see the bulge under his trousers â he adjusts it. âI can repay you tonight,â you offer. You desperately want to feel him, to maybe even taste him.
âYou donât need to do that.â He strokes your cheekbone with his thumb. âWe need the rest tonight.â He drops his hand in favor of wiping his other one off with a handkerchief â you blush.
He guides you in the direction of the house to begin your walk back. Your soldiers have begun to build a fire and as you look around you see Erwin speaking with Hange â you realize you havenât seen the Captain and his men. You join them by the side of the house.
âDid the Captain and his men make it?â you ask once you and Levi are standing in front of the duo.
âThere were a couple casualties, but the Captain decided to move on to the nearest port town as soon as possible,â Erwin answers. You nod thoughtfully â it makes sense.
âI believe weâll be in a position to ask Navarre for a favor,â Hange speaks up. âWe could repay them easily, and itâs not as if Kaslogon has been their allies. Kaslogon is on their own whether itâs Grisha or Zeke sitting on the throne.â
âYou really think theyâd bother?â you inquire. âNavarre hasnât had as much influence in the war as Mirlenas.â
âNavarre is their neighbor. Theyâd be happy to have Kaslogon under controlâ especially if we can prevent Zeke from becoming a conquering tyrant,â Hange says. âNavarre is in danger of Kaslogon overtaking them.â
âAnd you think theyâll work with us? We arenât necessarily their allies.â Youâre skeptical to say the least. They were never friendly with your father, but Auguste always had plans to create a stronger relationship with them. Maybe you can do the same.
âYou being on the throne changes things,â Hange answers with a grin. âTheyâll love you much more than your father.â They laugh.
âWe can make it work,â Erwin says confidently.
â
You canât help the tears that form at your waterline as you watch the burning fire, the flames dancing wildly and mocking you with their radiance. You feel empty, and you barely feel the comforting hand Levi has placed on the small of your back as Erwin makes the best speech he can under the circumstances. You try not to look at Jean, you try not to notice the tears that pool on his own waterline, or the way he clenches his jaw as he stares deep into the fire. Connie and Sasha offer comforting hands to hold for him and youâre grateful for your tight knit group of soldiers.
Youâre looking forward to getting on the move again, and youâre determined to make the journey to Nala tomorrow a quick one. Youâre nervous for how they might receive you, but the circumstances justify your hasty unplanned visit.
When the small ceremony is over you make your way inside, forever grateful that the MacLeries have offered their home to you. Levi guides you to your room, solemn silence filling the air, and when heâs about to leave you reach out to him.
âStay, please,â you tell him, because you canât fathom being alone again.
Youâre standing in the middle of the room, a hand wrapped around his wrist to stop him from reaching for the closed door. Thereâs one bed, but does it really matter at this point? Your traditional parents would riot if they knew any of the things youâve done.
âYouâre sure?â he asks softly, hesitant, and ready to leave if you tell him to despite how much you can see it in his eyes that he would love nothing more than to be by your side.
You tug on his wrist as a response, requesting that he gets ready for bed with you. His hands find your waist, and he places a soft, gentle kiss on your lips before slowly turning you around to untie the lace of your corset. His nimble fingers are swift, but careful, as he takes the laces out so you can grab it to set it aside. You lift your skirts off without looking back at him, and you hear his shaky breath as he unties the skirt support around your hips.
Youâre practically bare in front of him, only wearing the thin cotton chemise Mrs. MacLerie had washed up for you, and youâre scared to turn around to face him. His hands trail across your abdomen, up to your ribs and just below your breasts to hold you close to him. You place a hand on his just as the other lifts up, ghosting across your nipple and up to your neck where he sweeps your hair to the side, enabling access to your skin.
His lips press softly to the side of your neck, the light sweep of his tongue making you shiver just slightly â he pulls you closer to his chest. âMy sweet girl,â he mumbles into your skin and you feel your heart thump harder.Â
His lips trail along, always soft and gentle as he leaves small kisses on your skin, and when his lips ghost against the nape of your neck you let out a breathy moan. âLevi,â you breathe. You want him to take you here and now, to claim you as his and mate you with a bite to the nape of your neck as his cock penetrates you as deep as possible. You want to cum around him, for him to feel your walls clench around him and for his cum to spurt inside you, filling you until your tummy bloats.
He kisses that spot. âGoing to claim you one day,â he whispers through his small kisses. âGod, I canât wait for you to be mine.â He has no idea â you whimper and expose your neck to him more.Â
He leaves one last kiss and slowly spins you around to meet his gaze. His pupils are blown out, and heâs looking at you with so much love in his eyes that it pierces through the lust thatâs clouding the room. His hands leave their spot on your ribs and trail upwards, gently rubbing his thumbs against your pert nipples. âIâm always yours,â you whisper to him, practically confessing that you love him â youâve always cared for him, and you know he knows that.
He gives you a rare small smile, and his hands grasp your face as he kisses your forehead. âWe should sleep,â he tells you, and you know heâs right.
Sleeping comfortably is easy when Levi keeps you warm, his body radiating heat that you find yourself curling into, despite the lingering thoughts in your head about Zeke.
â
It takes two days to reach Nala despite you hoping for it to be a shorter journey â Erwinâs predictions were typically correct. Youâre nervous as you trot through the outskirts of the capitol, unsure of how youâll be received. Your cloak shadows your face to hide your identity from the townsfolk, although youâre almost positive no one would recognize the Queen of Mirlenas here. Levi and Erwin had insisted, with Erwin ensuring your face was covered enough just like Auguste would have while Levi watched him fret over you â even if Erwin didnât realize what he was doing.
It was odd seeing this side of him; the side thatâs not just the Commander and maybe the side of him that Auguste had fallen for. He cares deeply for those around him, cares about you and perhaps itâs just due to the feeling of owing your brothers his guardianship over you, but you appreciate his compassion. He remains strict and stoic in front of your soldiers, but you know Levi has seen the way he gravitates towards taking care of you, how he might feel like youâre the only thing he has left to protect to fill his heart again. You wonder if this is what itâs like to have a father, but you suppose youâve always had unconventional figures for that, Auguste practically filling that role already in a different sense.
The landscape has been so different from Mirlenas, making the journey interesting enough as your borrowed horses trek along. Rolling hills with swaying green grass allow feed for the horses after tiring days of travel, and the large forest you traveled through to get to the outskirts of Nala were easy enough to navigate. The trees had towered over you, so high you had to crane your neck just to see the tops swaying above you, but the forest ground was mostly clear with naturally cleared dirt and ferns.
Your soldiers made a barricade around you as you found the main dirt road that would lead you to the castle walls Queen Historia and Ymir resided in. Erwin and Hange led the group, with Levi, Eld, Gunther, Oluo, and Petra behind you. The youngest of your soldiers flanked both sides, Armin and Mikasa to your left with Jean, Connie, and Sasha to your right â you try not to think about how there should be one more on your left. Erwin reassured you that this was only a precaution, stating that he wasnât entirely sure where Navarreâs alliances resided now or if they would welcome you with hostility.
You could hardly see around Erwinâs broad shoulders and Hangeâs taller frame as you tried to peek around them to the gates of the castle grounds. It was clear they were waiting for you as four more soldiers joined the two that had been standing guard themselves as you approach.
âHalt!â a deep baritone voice shouts out when youâre about 10 meters away, firearms raised by all six soldiers. âState your name and business.â
Erwin speaks first. âWeâve come to speak with Queen Historia and Ymirââ
âAbsolutely not!â another voice sounds, two soldiers stepping forward.
The tension in the air is palpable, all hands on holstered weapons as your soldiers stare down at the muskets pointed in your direction. Erwin has been interrupted, and you can see the gears turning in his head as he debates on revealing your identity.
You do it for him.
You pull back the hood of your cloak. âI am Queen of Mirlenas,â you state calmly, loud enough for them to hear â you hear Levi let out a small grunt of disapproval behind you, and his sword being unsheathed. Erwin and Hange part for you as you hop down from your horse. âIâm sure they will be eager to hear what I have to say.â
When you walk towards them, clearly unarmed and identity revealed, their muskets lower as they exchange looks of uncertainty. You hear the man with the deep voice command one of the more tentative guards to alert the queens of your presence, never taking his eyes off you.Â
âWhat business does the Queen of Mirlenas have in Navarre?â he asks. Thereâs a scowl on his face, jaw set as he clenches it while regarding you with animosity. His nose twitches, and the slight breeze in the air pushes his straight blond hair back from his eyes enough so you can see the skepticism in his blue eyes.
âI donât believe thatâs any of your business,â you state evenly, tilting your head as you analyze him. âWhatâs your name?â
âOnce the Queens approve your visit you may know my name,â he states plainly.
You nod. âVery well then.â You spin on your heel and walk back to your soldiers, meeting Leviâs gaze as soon as you do now that heâs moved positions.
Heâs standing in front of Erwin, sword unsheathed and another ready to draw his second. He looks angry, eyebrows downturned into a scowl you havenât seen directed towards you in ages, but you donât let him break your resolve. You walk until youâre by his side, turning so youâre facing the brute of a guard stilling glaring at you from the front gates.
Levi leans over, turning his head slightly to whisper in your ear, âThat was foolish.â
You keep your face steeled while youâre being watched, despite the urge to turn to him with a scowl on your face. âDonât tell me you doubt me now,â you speak low enough for only him to hear.
He turns his gaze back towards the guard. âErwin had it under control,â he scolds. âYou canâtââ
âWe can discuss this later,â you snap, still quiet enough, but now with a scowl on your face as you turn your head fully to the side to look at him. You scoff quietly and turn forwards again. âErwin was about to do it anyway,â you grumble.
Before Levi can respond thereâs commotion behind the gates, and the man finally takes his eyes off you to open them fully to reveal Queen Historia and Ymir themselves. You immediately walk forwards, your soldiers following closely behind â especially Levi, who hasnât left your side.
âQueen Aeron,â Historia greets cheerfully, curtseying as Ymir stands still by her side. âWe were not expecting a visit from you, but Iâve heard about your familyâ my deepest condolences.â
You curtsey back, lifting your cotton skirts that donât compare to Historiaâs fine silks. âThank you, Queen Historia. Itâs a pleasure to meet youâ you as well, Queen Ymir.â
âPlease come in!â Historia chirps, gesturing for you to enter the castle grounds.
You donât make a step when Ymir speaks up. âWhat business could you possibly have with us?â Sheâs scowling at you. âI understand youâre new to being Queen, but perhaps you could have had the basic knowledge of sending a letter to inform us of your arrival.â
âI understand your hesitancy, but I would love to explain the circumstances under less watchful eyes,â you glance over at their guards and take a step forward to follow Historiaâs invitation.
Ymir steps in front of you, close enough for you to feel her body heat, and the next thing you know Leviâs sword is being pointed at her throat and he wraps an arm around you, a hand landing on your hip, to pull you to his side. It happens so quickly you donât realize their guards have raised their muskets again, and your own soldiers have drawn their weapons as well.
âDo not attempt to intimidate my Queen,â Levi seethes at Ymir. They glare at each other intensely as he holds his sword to her neck and she fearlessly stares back at him.
âLevi,â you slowly say his name â he doesnât budge. âLower your weapon.â
âYmir,â Historia whispers.
Levi reluctantly does as you say, albeit a bit slowly, but his arm remains around you even when Ymir takes two steps back to be by Historiaâs side once again. Her eyes drop to his hand on your hip, and a smirk forms on her face as she looks between you and Levi.
âI see,â she says slyly. âYouâre in love with your mutt here.â
You scowl at her as Historia scolds her. âYmir,â she huffs. Leviâs hand drops from your hip as she turns to look at you. âLetâs discuss this inside. My guards will guide your soldiers to resupply and eat after your journey here.â
âShe doesnât go anywhere without me,â Levi immediately states, and you canât tell if heâs acting as your Chevalier at the moment, or if his personal feelings are influencing him.
Ymir scoffs as Historia gives him a small smile. âOf course,â she says gently. âOur guard will be joining us as well, do not worry. Miche?â You give the blond man a look of satisfaction after finding out his name â he only returns it with a scowl.
You and Historia walk side by side through the gates, joined by Ymir on her left and Levi on your right as Miche follows behind. You hear the quiet conversation between him and your Marquis and Brigadier as Erwin engages in purely diplomatic speech.
The castle grounds are clearly different than your own in Mirlenas, favoring the natural landscapes of Navarre more than your own country embraced their own. Instead of the pale stones used at home, large misshapen stones create walls, their dark surfaces covered in moss and scars from erosion. The path you walk on is the same red dirt in the forests, packed down to create a solid walkway to the large main doors of the castle. Theyâve been left natural, red wood held together by black metal fixtures and you notice that the smaller country is modest when revealing their wealth.
You and Historia make idle chitchat as she guides the group to the large doors, happily engaging in diplomacies you typically hate. Ymir broods next to her the same way Levi does next to you.
Two guards open the doors wide for your arrival, and you speak up before you enter. âMy Marquis and Brigadier will be joining as well,â you state to Historia. âWe are here to discuss political matters.âÂ
thinking about levi fucking you raw for the first time
you've always been so careful, so meticulous in the way you both make sure to use protection to prevent any std's or accidental pregnancies.
now you've begun taking birth control as your relationship develops further, and when levi comes to you one night with his test results from the clinic and it reveals he's clean, he's fucking insatiable. you had already known you were clean from getting tested right after your previous partner and you've been with no one except for him.
you're loyal to him, and he's loyal to you.
the way you gasp harmonizes perfectly with his deep groan as he slowly sinks into you, your pussy sucking him in as he thrusts into you without a condom on for the first time.
"fuck," he practically whimpers. "you're so wetâ so warm."
you can feel all of him; feel every bump and ridge to his cock as he pulls back just to roll his hips back into you. your head ends up tossed back, jaw slack in pure pleasure as he fucks you deep and hard into the couch cushions â he just couldn't wait to have you.
"gonna cum in you, yeah?" levi grunts as he thrusts deep into you, balls pressing against your ass as he lifts your legs over his shoulders. "you like that? gonna fuck a baby deep into this pussy."
you mewl, head nodding dumbly in agreeance despite knowing he can't, but the thought of levi wanting to breed you has you close to seeing stars.
his hands grip your thighs hard, the soft fat giving way to his slender fingers as he keeps you right where he wants you. drool seeps out of the corner of your mouth, slowly trailing down your cheek and meeting the tears that have left your eyes as soon as levi started thrusting into you with no inhibitions. you're right there, and you know levi is too when his pace starts to falter ever so slightly.
"fuck, yes levi," you moan, voice sweetened like honey as your inevitable orgasm teeters on the edge. "cum inside me. fuck! please, please put a baby in me," you babble.
you grasp his shoulders and pull him towards you so his chest is flush with your own and bring him into a heated kiss. he moans against your lips, and then his hips are stuttering until he thrusts into you as deep as possible.
his cum coats your walls, warmth accompanied by the throbbing of his cock causing you to meet your own end as your pussy clenches down on him, muscles spasming. he sloppily kisses you through it, moans and whimpers escaping his lips in soft breaths against your own as you both relish in the feeling of being so close to one another.
he pushes his cock into you again, pressing his cum deeper into you with the movement and earning a muffled squelch from between your legs as you let out a soft moan. he let's his cock soften inside you, using it as a plug as he leans back just enough to look into your eyes.
"i'm never fucking you with a condom again," he breathlessly tells you.
you can't help but nod in agreement as you gently laugh.
guys i fixed my pc and its nice out now and my studio wont give me heat stroke and i KNOW i've been saying this but i will update Maybe We're Meant to be Alone I SWEAR
LOOK, I see it. I get it. Levi definitely has that ârough, naughty, âyou like that, donât you?ââ kind of sex aura to him. And no complaints here, Iâm a complete sucker for that trope. I liveee for it. Like keep it coming!
But Iâve always felt Leviâs character to be moreâŠvanilla, for a lack of better term, than hardcore when it comes to sexual intimacy. Not in the bland way though. Perhaps vanilla with some sprinkles or syrup on the top.
In my opinion, underneath his tough, stern demeanor is someone much softer, much more passionate and gentle in the way he makes love. That heâs the kind to really focus on foreplay, because he really wants you to be aroused and fully pleasured. The kind to never break eye contact only unless his face is to your neck as he moves in you. The kind to whisper âI love youâ in your ear when you both are close, and itâs the sound of his voice when he says it that brings you to your climax. The kind to kiss your forehead when itâs over and bring you closely into his arms, burying his face in your hair to inhale your scent that is so distinctively you that it comforts him. His love language is definitely touch, and he loves when you stroke his hair and face as much as you do.
maybe Iâm just describing my fantasy lolol
Donât get me wrong though. Both dominant Levi and gentle Levi could likeâŠget it. Truly. Just say the word sir and Iâm yours any way youâd like. (ïżŁ^ïżŁ)ă
I don't often talk about how in season 4, Levi would eat pussy because he needs it and those are times when he does it the best. Usually, he does it for your pleasure but he can get selfish when he wants to. His hands spread your legs, his mouth sucking on your clit. There isn't a spot he misses, there isn't a spot his mouth hasn't tasted and yet, he doesn't stop until he has you screaming. You look some to see his eyes focused on your expression, his mouth buried in your cunt, enjoying your taste and scent. "Such a good pussy you have, you know that?" His voice is hoarse, and deep, it sends some vibrations through your pussy, making your body squirm. He pulls away from your clit, a string of your wetness attached to his mouth. Levi moves his hands to your hips, holding you down before he spits on your pussy, making it twitch slightly. "Fuck, I have to make cum again." He dives back in, his tongue running up and down your slit. Your body arches off the bed, hips bucking against his face. It only makes Levi more hungry for you, seeing how tightly you're gripping the sheets, how loud you are moaning his name, his mouth laps at your wetness. Your eyes roll back, orgasm building up again, a warm sensation running all over your body. Levi grabs onto your hips more tightly, the only noise is your moans and the lewd sounds of his mouth eating you out. And when you cum, again, he doesn't stop until he has tested all of you. "Fuck yes. Again. Turn around for me, let me eat it from the back." It's like a predator chasing his prey and despite the fact he doesn't get his release, he relishes in making you cum all over again.
âYou said I killed youâ haunt me, then! Be with me alwaysâ take any formâ drive me mad! Only do not leave me in this abyss, where I cannot find you!â
