last film: L'Étranger (the stranger in english, watched it in french! yes, i speak french) loved the film! it's set in the 1930s in french algeria and it shows racism, misogyny and all sorts of failings of the french justice system (hopefully of the time because bloody hell). murder, violence and all sorts.

last book: SUICIDE the forever decision (new 3rd edition) by dr. paul g. quinnett (i'm okay, i promise?)

last series: watching 'red dwarf' with my dad

- last book: finished reading "Butter" by Asako Yuzuki. I absolutely loved reading that and I'm now reading "Macbeth" by Shakespeare.

- last series: don't really remember the last one but it was either "Monster" (the anime) or "Steel Ball Run" that I'm watching with my brother.

- last video game: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Was forced by my brother to play it but I'm honestly having a lot of fun :p

last film: Remarkably Bright Creatures! i read the book last year and finally watched the new adaptation last week. i loved it :)

last book: "China Rich Girlfriend" by Kevin Kwan. ive been bingeing all three books now that i have them all in my possession. im only a handful of chapters away from finishing the last book in the series!

last series: im keeping up with several currently running anime, but the one i most recently finished was Yano-kun's Ordinary Days. it was very cute and wholesome, i enjoyed it very much!

last video game: last game i played was four hours of Stardew Valley last night, but i also recently finished the entirety of Little Nightmares for the first time.

last thing i ate: a corn dog :)

in like 5-8 years when gen alpha starts really making fun of gen z no one is allowed to complain because like 99% of people do nothing but treat those kids like shit

so much of what gen alpha is made fun of (by literal adults!!!) is stuff they absolutely have no control over and is not their fault. they have no control of whether their parents choose to stick an ipad in front of their face day 1 instead of being parents. little girls becoming obsessed with sephora and skincare should not be a reason to make fun of them but a reason to question the beauty industry and its predatory behavior. “brainrot” is intrinsic to every generation. it’s not their fault that schools are increasingly becoming underfunded and kids are becoming more and more left behind by the system. not only are kids gonna be kids but they’re also so insanely vulnerable and unable to do anything about that fact due to being literal children. and it’s so disheartening to see so many things that should be obvious societal issues and causes for concern brushed away or turned into jokes because it’s only affecting children, like they somehow deserve the horrible hand society has dealt them for the very sin of not yet growing up

the thing about being "good with kids" is all it takes is literally just not trying to control and mould them with every interaction. it's just being a normal person and engaging with them through normal interactions like having conversations and playing games. it's just being genuine and friendly and not perceiving them as lumps of wet clay you are there to shape.
