Goldensugar wedding teaser +account update

The girls are getting ready for their wedding! Golden Cheese is extremely excited and Wedding Cake is delighted to have such an enthusiastic bride. I like to think that she’d decorate herself with the flowers that grow in Eternal Sugar’s garden.

Eternal Sugar, after spending time with Golden Cheese, has lost her angelic disguise and her more devilish features are revealed to the world as a result of her own self-awareness. While her mental progression is for the better, she’s very insecure about her new horns and bat wings, losing her softness. Pavlova wants to help her the best he can.

The cheesebirds have sent invitations to the ancients and their kingdoms. Instead of a physical invitation, one cheesebird sings to Pure Vanilla so that he can hear the good news without someone else having to read for him. Some of them are more surprised than others, but they’re all happy for her, in the end. How the cheesebirds found White Lily cookie, nobody knows. But she’s glad to have been thought of.

Hi everyone! I’d like to apologize for my upteenth hiatus on this account. I know I haven’t done a good job of communicating or anything on here. Basically I got so upset with the most recent CRK updates that I didn’t want to draw Goldensugar for WEEKS. The character writing in CRK is in shambles and Eternal Sugar was flanderized and then killed. What the fuck. So I got pissed and trying to draw goldensugar has made me angry. However I’ve been putting in effort recently to connect all of my social media accounts so that even if I find myself being pissed at goldensugar again you guys (if you’re so inclined) might find me on my TikTok or twitter thru my linktree in my bio. As compensation, I’m working on the goldensugar wedding that’s been in my ask box so many times 😓 this is all just pre-wedding stuff, but there will be a fully-rendered wedding drawing later! Hi! So like this is probably going to be upsetting but I think I’ll probably start from the beginning with the comic again. I’m not proud of how the first part came out and I think I can do better with an actual solid direction this time. As for when it’ll be out, I hope maybe I’ll will it into existence next week? Maybe I’ll release two parts at once to make up for the hiatus and the redo? I’m not sure. I promise the redo thing won’t become a habit, I just had absolutely no idea how to use CSP’s comic function back then, so the whole thing came out kind of janky and I’m sure it’ll make way more sense if I work in a different art style and format :) it was a rush job I did in one day for the most part so I’d like to practice having better comic habits (since I’d love to professionally do comics in the future). I’ve also gotten a LOT of practice with anatomy and backgrounds during my hiatus so I’m hoping to create something that just looks good. Also I think I’ll write out an actual script for the dialogue, I originally just drew the text bubbles first and made something up to put in them 😅

Hey yall! Golden cheese stole eternal sugar’s soul jam. She’s more cunt now, but she is unfortunately Worse.

I hoped to have something a little more substantial for the first real post after my hiatus, so forgive the small sketches instead of anything cooler. Hopefully over the weekend I can do something cooler?

Anyways, here’s a little concept of some toxic yuri-ish goldensugar. I’m playing around with ways for how I imagine their dynamic. I’ve mostly done a lot of more positive cutesy things where they bond through their sort of shared experiences but I’ve had a lot of ideas about them as a more toxic dynamic. Aside from the obvious “they amplify their shared faults and get worse”, I wanted to explore it in a way that was a little more intertwined with the crk lore as well, and also add in more details from the lore outside of just these two. Also, two-ish updates that include ES and GC came out since I last drew them, so I have found myself trying to reimagine some things. More writing about it below the cut.

Golden Cheese is aware of Eternal Sugar’s nature from when she first stumbles into her kingdom. Eternal Sugar tries to play nice and seem as harmless as possible, hiding her identity in hopes that eventually Golden Cheese will trust her enough to bring her to the next meeting with the Ancients. After ES agrees to follow Dark Enchantress, she realizes that the ancients will band together, so before they all meet, she opts to try and worm her way inside without Hollyberry immediately noticing to gain a further advantage. After hearing from Burning Spice how GC has lost her kingdom and how she tried to keep it, she figured that even if Golden Cheese found out about her status as a Beast, she could gain her trust through their similarities. ES enters the GC kingdom in disguise, but because of GC’s contact with HB, she recognizes ES. However, she doesn’t tell anyone about this. Smoked Cheese and the recently revived Mozzarella and Burnt Cheese are completely in the dark about ES.

ES lives in the GC’s kingdom for several weeks (timeline be damned, the crk story is happening fast as hell right now and I’m slowing it DOWN) and grows a fondness for her, relating to her desire to keep her subjects happy and safe. She slowly begins to realize that she could be better herself, and perhaps if HB still found GC worthy of her companionship, ES could start to reflect on her actions and better herself. However, GC, knowing that ES is a Beast, associates her with the destruction and pain BS caused her and her kingdom. She learns more and more about ES, taking note of her abilities (when she can witness them without ES noticing) and her personality. She views her as a threat to her kingdom. While GC isn’t much of a plotting type, she has been betrayed before now, and ES doesn’t quite see through GC’s obviously fake honeyed words and gestures of kindness. Since ES isn’t a mortal cookie, she no longer understands the nuances of organic interactions, so she completely misses GC’s slightly janky plans.

Golden Cheese eventually confronts Eternal Sugar. In the brief but dramatic struggle, she successfully claims ES’s soul jam, as she has the element of surprise on her side. She keeps ES in a prison originally meant for the arenas and tournaments of the old GC kingdom. With her newfound power of an extra soul jam, GC is confident that she will be an extremely valuable asset in the fight against DE and spends days getting to know her new powers. During this time, she forms a sort of obsessive connection with ES, as the more she talks to her and hears the voice of her soul jam, she recognizes that they’re extremely alike. ES absolutely despises GC for ripping her away from her connection to her beloved. However, without her soul jam, she is basically powerless against GC. She remains a prisoner for a very long time.

GC slowly becomes unstable due to the voice of the corrupt soul jam (this AU kind of assumes that the beast soul jams also have voices..? Do they??) and falls back into old habits. It’s a very literal example of a character’s flaws amplifying the other— GC begins to alter the minds of her subjects with her powers, keeping them happy, while also frequently going back and forth on recreating her virtual world. The soul jam whispers to her about how much happier her subjects could be if she only used her powers on them a little more. She begins to keep ES as a sort of bird in a cage, keeping her as a sort of beautiful decoration of sorts while using her magic to attempt to make her happy. Her revived subjects are altered by her new powers, even against her will. They are inherently connected to their magic and have gained qualities similar to ES’s angel servants, short of wings and blue/pink dough. GC isn’t all gone, but she isn’t entirely there either, and threatens to get worse every day she holds onto the corrupted soul jam not meant for her. She tells herself that she’ll return it to HB when they meet, but she is a greedy cookie.

I might make a full color version of her one day, but this was mostly just for fun and to get back into drawing goldensugar. Yay toxic yuri!

it has been a while, but I wonder if you’re still doing anymore goldensugar content, along with the comic. I love to see more that from you. It would be nice if you can also do more of the sugary cheese oasis and its residents, including the winged snakes, pudding cups, pudding cup cookie, and many others, even pavlova cookie and the warden of the heart. Anyways I hope you’re doing well and if you’re overwhelmed, remember to take your time. We can wait a little while longer to see more from you. :)

I’ll get back to posting in a few weeks but the opps are after my ass and they won’t let me draw cookie yuri until I do my college work 🫩 I’ll come back eventually and I miss goldensugar but I am being tragically prevented from doing anything I want 😓

We would love to see more of it, especially with certain things like pavlova and Sugarfly, the winged snakes of the garden of delight, the pudding cup cookie, and many others. Hi! I’m so sorry for being super inactive but essentially the college application process is homophobic and hates lesbians, so I’ve had zero time to draw fanart for the past few months really 😔 All of my creative energy has gone to stuff I can put into college portfolios and stuff. I still use tumblr and look at it but fanart has been very hard to find time for. If all else fails, I’ll be free by the end of December and I can go back to posting cookie yuri every week.

After months of procrastination, here’s Knafeh Cookie’s ancient counterpart. I’m not sure what to call it because I wouldn’t call it “ancient”, nor do Knafeh and Šampita have the same kind of origin and dynamic as the canon beasts and ancients since they exist post-canon, but basically they have the same “two halves of a whole” thing going on. Essentially, Knafeh manually discarded their other half instead of it magically happening like with the beasts, throwing away whatever hopes they had of experiencing joy and pleasure and only resolving to experiencing and delivering pain. Šampita was someone from the Snowfall Village who watched its friends and family die to the Frost Illness for years. Being unable to find its way to that magic flower thing that cures it (I like to think Cotton Cookie was the only one who could due to her pathfinding skills) it resolved to find a different way to find the power to cure it. In its research it found the shattered pieces of half of Knafeh’s soul jam and spent years collecting each piece until it was able to form a full soul jam. Immediately after holding it for the first time, the grief and pain of losing its companions disappeared, and it found the memories of its lost loved ones fading away. It lost the ability to feel pain and sorrow, now constantly in a state of eerie content, and while it cannot meaningfully cure any illness or wound with its newfound power, it can ease the suffering of any cookie it wishes, or, if it wishes to allow a cookie to hold its soul jam, erase their pain completely. After it gains its soul jam, it develops a sort of wandering cult, all with an eerie lack of emotion other than joy due to constant exposure to šampita’s powers. It is revered for its power and seeks to ease all pain by traveling the world. It learns of a land of constant suffering, AKA Knafeh’s domain, and immediately takes its journey there. Knafeh learns that it has its missing piece of soul jam, but only gains interest when they realize that it may be the only thing to erase their pain.

Sorry for the like, month of no goldensugar content 😓 I’m so bad at social media. Anyways, I don’t have the next chapter (sorryyyy) but I DO have more about the goldensugar stuff. I wanted to fully render Eternal Sugar’s Disguise and go into more detail about it a little. I think ES doesn’t feel the need to disguise herself around Hollyberry because she views her as someone who should love her true form no matter what, but she does disguise herself for Golden Cheese with the idea that nobody else could truly love her for who she is. She’s inspired a bit by how some media interprets Aphrodite as being able to take the form of what the viewer sees as the most attractive, but I think Eternal Sugar is flawed in the way that she no longer knows what cookies truly want, and probably never did. When she’s discovered by Smoked Cheese, she tries to appeal to a more innocent and more attractive sort of look, even taking some traits from Hollyberry’s appearance like her big round eyes to try and appeal to cookies. Golden Cheese isn’t particularly interested in her in this form. Eternal Sugar also isn’t as proficient in disguises as Shadow Milk, so often when experiencing stronger emotions, her true form starts to slip out. Golden Cheese acts like she doesn’t notice, but she does want to know what she truly looks like.

golden cheese and eternal sugar are both idiots who i hate. eternal sugar has a poor diguise and has no idea where anything is, and golden cheese has never been very good at identifying suspicious folks.

i like to think that the beasts have limits related to their soul jams. like, i imagine that es can't do too much physical activity without her powers taking a serious hit, so trying to travel through the desert makes her lose part of her power. i think its similar to how shadow milk has poor physical strength.

chat, i don't know how to use csp. it'll get better as i go on i promise but oof this is going to take some getting used to. if you see any typos, no you didnt. csp doesnt spellcheck and writing in this program is so freaking annoying.

edit: i realize somehow in the process i have killed the image quality. i apologize :( i'll make sure it doesn't happen next time but again idk how to really use csp =_=

Small sneak-peak of the goldensugar comic I’m trying to make. This is the general style of everything for now. As much as I’d love to color in full comics I can barely get a few sketches out a week as is so if it wants to exist it has to look like this. Also small bits of what the plot looks like, but only just barely. She’s so sick of Smoked Cheese Cookie.

The art of of the sugar cheese oasis and the goldensugar reference art are amazing. You’re doing a great job with them so far. Also You mentioned thst you made a goldensugar comic in the post of the sugary cheese oasis.

Plus you also mentioned that you are planning to make an awakened form of knafeh cookie. I am curious as to when it is coming out as I am interested in seeing what they look like in their awakened form.

If you feel tired or a bit overwhelmed, take your time or take breaks from time to time as it’ll help you get refresh and feel better. Remember there’s no deadlines or due dates for these things so take as much time as you need to make your art. Anyways good job with the goldensugar arts so far. You’re still one of the few who would make this and I look forward to seeing more in the future.

Hello~! I’m sorry for my hiatus and lazier posts— I’ve been a little busy with school and stuff but I swear I’ll at least post during the weekends! I’ve also just been trying to improve more with art in general to make sure I can really execute the things that I want to make. I’m working hard to get better so I can post better stuff ^_^ I’m also just very bad at social media so posting consistently is something I’m HORRIBLE at •_•

So far I think I will leave Knafeh in their virtuous form. I think I like, misnamed their virtuous form as an awakened form, as only ancients get awakened, so as far as their designs go I think I only have their virtuous and Beast forms.

As for the comic, I remembered I have CSP on my computer, so I’m going to redo it on there since it has stuff specifically made for comics and it just makes sense. I promise it wasn’t so far along, I only had like four panels and they were like sooo mid. I’ll post the first part as soon as it’s done, I promise!
