These lovely friends of ours have been celebrating their anniversary this week! This is one of my favorite photos of their wedding day. It’s simple. But the reason I love it so much, is that this was a sweet, emotional moment during their first look. I absolutely love when the bride and groom decide on a first look on their wedding day. The reaction from the groom is always so loving and honest. They don’t have to keep it together in front of a crowd, and they can cry and embrace their very soon-to-be wife, and just live in that moment. No couple ever regrets those quiet moments between just the two of them and no one else around. They remember every detail without all of the adrenaline and surrealism of the ceremony. No groom ever says, “meh, already saw her” as she walks towards him down the aisle.
