Name: Anne Bonny
Age: 25
Nationality: Irish
Role: Quartermaster of The Revenge
Physical appearance: Long, dark red hair, pale skin and green eyes, but often mostly hidden by a floppy hat and patchy coat to disguise her gender.
Personality: An exterior of iron that she allows very few people past, with the exception of Cal. Has a soft spot for animals, and hates the sight of her own blood, despite her prowess in battle, which is rumoured to be as great as Blackbeard’s.
Background: Despite being born to a wealthy landowner, Bonny never suited the life of a gentlewoman, and left a significantly older husband to run away with Cal at just sixteen. The two have been together ever since, and have secured themselves The Revenge, which Bonny is quartermaster to.

2: What does your full name mean? “My mum always said it holds importance in the family. Something from her brother and something from her father. I’m not entirely sure what the true meaning is and I don’t think she did either.“
3: What are your other names/nicknames? “I typically go by Finn by my mates, but mum used to call my Nicky. Embarrassing, I know.“
4: What’s your gender? “I’m a man. Probably not the manliest, but still a man.“
5: What’s your sexuality? “I’m not sure. I’ve experimented before, but I’m still figuring things out for myself.“
6: Where are you from? “I come from the infamous village of Iohosia on the island just off the coast of Aedadin.“

You were a laundress in a castle owned by a prominent but reclusive duke. There were other laundresses, but you were the duke’s personal one, largely because of the bloodstains on his clothes and bedding. You asked no questions and passed no judgment. He’d never spoken to you directly, but he did send you small gifts and treasures, for your… discretion.
Early one evening, he decides to thank you in person.
There are rumours about the duke.
Of course, there are always rumours of some sort, but these ones…they’re dark. People whisper that the duke isn’t human. That he sacrifices maidens to dark gods. That he bathes in the blood of his victims.
The people of Fallholt are both terrified and proud of their duke. He is a fierce warrior and keeps them safe from the beasts in the forest and, more importantly, other nobles. For all that there are whispers about him, he rules the people of Fallholt fairly. Which is more than most peasants can say for their lords.
So they whisper, and cast sidelong glances at him when he rides by, but never do more than that.
You are new to the area, having fled a bad situation. The whispers worry you, at first. What kind of man is the duke, that such dark rumours circulate about him?
Your curse in life is your curiosity though, so when a position opens up at the castle you leap at the chance to take it. Few enough other people are willing to work so near the duke anymore, so it hardly matters that you have no references.

Following in his mother’s infamous footsteps, Sterling turned to piracy at a young age as naturally as any other occupation in on an island with no laws. When that island is threatened by imperialist monarchs, he defends it with his life, and when they cheat to win, he gives his freedom and serves the nobility in an agreement that his people be spared. By no means, however, is he taking this defeat lying down, and if the nobility thinks they’re the only ones who can cheat, they haven’t been watching Sterling nearly close enough.

📄 character introduction
full name: Selsy Brahm age: 22 physicals: 1,72m (5"6), medium length red curly hair, dark brown eyes, brown-ish skin job: none
background: Selsy’s mother was a traveling fire mage who stayed with her father for almost a year before getting caught in the middle of the city and being killed on the spot. Selsy’s father protects her and never lets her out of the mansion or accompanying courtyard since he is a member of the government and it would seriously impair his reputation and Selsy would be killed, too. She grows up lonely and only makes one friend by accident. Other than that, only a few staff members sworn to secrecy are trusted enough to know about her existence.
skills: Selsy is a very non-violent person, but she has a way with words and can persuade just about anyone into doing something for her. She also studies the continent of Patrigia along with the Great Magic War 300 years ago, even though there is almost no source left to learn from. She was taught how to make her own dresses by a maid/seamstress and spends her free time reading and painting. Even though Flores tried to teach her, her telekinesis is very weak since she can’t grasp the concept of combining alchemy with mental force.
character: Selsy is a very lonely person. She collects beautiful things Cino (and Flores) bring her and loves to listen to the stories about the outside world they tell her. There is always a certain melancholy surrounding her.
If she really wants to have something, she can talk like her father, a true politician, and almost always gets her way. This is very satisfying for her and her headstrong and often times way too stubborn for her own good attitude has granted her at least a little bit of freedom – and also a friendship/affair with the seamstress who taught her sewing her own clothes.
She is deeply curious about the world, but hasn’t had the chance to experience any of it. At the same time, she is very afraid of the day she might be able to walk among other people. Her trust doesn’t come easy. Even she is aware of the fact that if anyone told the government about her, she would be killed in an instant. So she is suspicious about anyone who spots her.
At the same time, she longs for an adventure. Having lived in the mansion for her whole life, she becomes more and more restless as time passes on, but it just never seems to be the right moment to escape her ‘prison’. This frustrates her deeply.
