Pastor Clay Peck of Grace Place lived in Lincoln, Nebraska, while attending Union College and earning his bachelor of arts in theology. He then relocated to Berrien Springs, Michigan, to begin the master’s program at Andrews University. Clay Peck excelled in his studies and graduated with a master of divinity and a 3.97 grade point average (GPA). He later returned to school in pursuit of his doctor of ministry. Studying at the Denver Theological Seminary in Colorado, he successfully completed the Doctor of Ministry degree in May of 2011. Fulfilling a need to spread the word of God, the pastor founded Grace Place in September of 1996. Serving as the lead pastor, he leads regular worship services, engages with the community to grow the church’s congregation, hosts prayer and Bible studies with church members, and oversees the teachings of other pastors. His church offers all types of ministries for children and adults. In addition, he ensures that the church fulfills its civic duties by conducting outreach programs and missions that care for all citizens.

The film adaptation, directed by Angelina Jolie, premiered in theaters last December, with Jack O’Connell playing Lieutenant Zamperini. Unbroken is Laura Hillenbrand’s second bestselling book converted into a movie, following Seabiscuit: An American Legend.
