Is there one thing that you've always wanted to do but never had the chance to? Because I think that this is the ideal place to make that one thing become reality. Like that hot air balloon ride? It's something I've always wanted to do but the opportunity never came until now. And I'm glad that I did it. A little scary at first but the view just took all those worries away. @gracesvpatten

mud baths. i don't know if you've watched 'suits' but it was a common for one of the characters to do. and it gave me the ick a little after one certain scene ― ever since then, i only hit the spa for cucumber masks and massages. but i think i'm ready to face my fear now. you did the hot air balloon ride ? are you afraid of heights or why was it a little scary at first ? the view must've been spectacular. i'm kind of sad i missed it, forgetting the time while getting wine drunk in the valley.

alex: absolutely! there’s really nothing it can't fix. popsicles are so fun because it feels like there's so many new options coming out. i’m vegan, yes. Ben and Jerry's is really good with the non-dairy options so i consider myself lucky in that regard. how many different ice cream pints could you have in the freezer at the same time? do you like having options for different moods? or is that just me...

grace: right ? broken heart ? ice cream. sore throat ? ice cream. celebrating a major milestone ? let's go get some ice cream. that's very true. also, popsicles are such a nice reminder of ones childhood. like each time, it takes me back to a different time when i was a kid eating one. as an athlete - has it ever been hard to get your needed proteins in by being vegan ? i mean, i know there are a lot of options these days, but it must've been a little more difficult ten years ago, or ? grace: different moods, different ice cream for sure. like whenever i'm sad, i'd never ever touch strawberry ice cream or anything fruity. that one's reserved for the happy days.

wrapping things up well is better than having it drag on or even the ones that get a rushed ending that makes no sense. sometimes it's nice when you know your show is only getting a few seasons and it can have a real ending rather than those that are cancelled mid season and don't get another one. i'm still mad that one of my favorite shows ended in a cliff hanger and i won't ever find out what happened. it's so nice that you guys all became a family on set! i was close with the hunters cast, but i'm not sure any of us would classify it as a family. just super close friends, you know. i've done both, but i've done more movies and prefer movies. i've always been a film geek and it bleeds into what i want to do with work. am i? i'm actually okay with just being percy jackson in your head forever! you don't have to look at any of my current stuff.

right ? the cliffhanger cancellations are the worst kind of pain, because your brain just keeps trying to finish the story and is never satisfied, because it keeps getting reminded that it's the one that made it up and not the actual ending. and it's so frustrating, especially when you get deeply invested into the story and the characters. what favorite show of yours ended with a cliffhanger ? super close friends still counts for something. are you still in touch with them today ? yeah, you do come off as a film geek to me too. and i mean, films are such a great way to perform and express the craft. i mean, you've got about two hours to basically wrap up a whole story, i feel like it's way more intentional than tv shows. you saying i don't have to look at any of your current stuff pretty much makes me want to look at any of your current stuff now. sorry, i don't make the rules.

hm, probably at least twenty times ? i mean, always gives me the chance to brag about my sister and how she killed it on screen, so i'm not complaining. but now i know what the olsen twins felt like whenever they got mixed up. or the hilton sisters. thank god we're not talking bad decisions in my case. although she did use my id once and got me in trouble with that, but that's a whole different story. do you have a brother you could potentially get mixed up with ?

Because am fully convinced every job is gonnae be the last one, I cannae help thinking that. I think because a lot of my mates are more 'struggling' actors, I always have that thought in me mind that I could end up in that position again, no because of me abilities, but because me luck will run out. I think I'd make an alright enforcer, though - I watched the Mighty Ducks 500 times when I was growing up. Love that idea, and definitely considered it. I've saved all the cards, letters, and notes that me and Sersh have sent over the years, and that's a novel on its own. Aye, he's the talented brother. That's why I married a rich and successful Hollywood actress, so I can be her sugar baby.

that sounds somewhat sad. like i get watching your struggling actor friends dragging the whole experience down a little, but if you talk about your luck running out, that's bad mojo. and you're practically the one to blame in case it really does run out. you gotta go about this a little more confident. like "i'm a great actor. i deserve to play great roles that make it onto the big screen." that should be your daily mantra. unless you really wanna end up as saoirse's sugar baby. you've saved everything the two of you have sent each other throughout the years ? that might be the cutest thing i've ever heard. you're definitely husband goals.

paul: I mean, I'd say they're about even when it comes to strange people trying to sell or swap things for something else. Those places always come with the wildest stories. Though, in fairness, Craigslist might still take the crown. I've yet to hear of a Facebook Marketplace murder, but Craigslist… well, that's got a bit of a reputation. paul: Who do you take me for? Giving me a taste of my own medicine now, are you? I get about five minutes allowance a day on social media, so I make it count. It's mostly just dogs and fancy three-course meals I tell myself I'll try cooking. paul: Right, what's all this about the sourdough obsession? Have I missed something? And more importantly, can I order one off you, or is it still in the experimental phase? I guess I'd be happy to volunteer as your test subject in that case. grace: there's been a craigslist murder ? i need to know more about this. true crime stories with paul mescal. almost makes me ignore the fact that you just called me strange for selling and buying stuff on facebook marketplace. grace: i mean, obviously. you just called me strange and from here on forward, i'm not gonna let it go. five minutes allowance ? you make it sound like someone's standing right beside you, counting down the seconds. telling yourself you'll try cooking those three-course meals is one thing. i mean, do you even know how to cook ? grace: yeah, you've missed a lot. bakery's are about to be in financial ruin because everyone's baking their own sourdough bread. listen, i've been feeding my starter so good the past few days. give me another fourty-eight hours and i'll invite you over for breakfast. grace: oh my god right, you're a part of the beatles movie. teaching yourself how to play the guitar left-handed ? incredible. can't wait to see it. also, hope you've put me on the list of people who deserve to get a glimpse of your songwriting skills. how's that long distance thing been working for you two so far ? must be hard with oceans separating the both of you. grace: me ? i'm trying to live a summer life in late spring. sourdough empire and questionable decisions included. went to stockholm the other week and played groupie. you know, trying to scratch off as most as i can from my bucket list before i start filming my next project in a couple of months.

i vote disbelief. because i've got videos sent to the girls group chat to prove it. you know, kind of the equivalent to one of you sending a picture of a gorgeous woman into your boy's group chat and everyone fantasizing about the way they'd like to fuck her. and if you tell me that's not a thing, i won't believe you. not judging, because boys will be boys. oh, bad break-up ? knife skills added with nice arms definitely sounds like it's worth a watch. are you just as skilled in the kitchen as you are on screen ?

is it just me or does that kind of eat? i'd be all over that with the title alone but the rest would get my ass binging instantly. netflix would be stupid not to jump all over it and if they are for some reason, at least we've got like 10 other streaming sites to choose from. one of them has to have taste. you get it. the spontaneous always leads to better ideas and moments. it's how everything should be no matter way. alright, so over the halfway mark now. i'm about to become annoying and brag like i never have before. forget waiting two weeks. by may, i'll be unbearable, especially all the efforts you're putting into helping me keep my crown. but hold up, proposals? you expecting one soon or do you just have endless people lined up for the chance?

not just you, because it definitely does kind of eat. whatever streaming sites decline our pitch will cry later on once we skyrocket with our project and everyone's talking about it. i one hundred percent agree with that. imagine being one of these people who need to have everything planned to a t four weeks prior. like it's giving dad mode showing up at the airport five hours before the flight takes off. i could never. it's may now and no one's managed to steal your thunder. the crown is still all yours and calls for some celebratory drinks. i almost said rings because we were talking about proposals, but no, not expecting one soon and also don't think i've got endless people lined up for the chance. or do i ? maybe it's time to find out. what about you ? are you close to getting a proposal or planning one ?

yeah, saying goodbye was definitely tough. but not because the story came to an end ― i feel like we wrapped that up pretty well. which in my opinion is always better than dragging it on for too long until storylines end up making no sense or repeating itself in a different way and it ends up getting dumb and boring. but we really became a small little family on set, so there were lots of tears shed on the last day. and of course saying goodbye to lucy was very bittersweet too. have you ever worked on a show before ? or are you a movies only kind of guy ? my apologies for clearly lacking in your projects department, you're still percy jackson in my head.
