Okay, here's the deal:

Recently I was looking for a way to replace YouTube in my life and thanks to one of my friends remembered about Tumblr. Maybe it will be a dead end again, maybe it will be a nice little adventure - we'll see.

Here I want to keep a record of my studies and self-exploration process, as well as some general educational posts. I'll try to be consistent and learn something new every day.

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.

Well, actually I had some good reasons to be absent: I was working as a tutor at summer school, but it does not count as studying indeed. First days of uni are around the corner and I really need to focus and actually do something. I'm tired of being disappointed in myself, honestly. It's time to change that finally

Day 3

Haven't done much for my personal studies, but done some work and paper stuff:

• had a tutoring session with my lil student girl, whom I teach literature and arts

• finished paperwork related to my transfer to another major

• went to an acting class

Overall, not that much, but I'm only in the beginning of my journey 🕊️

Day 2 (late)

The day of Proust's "Memory of the Murdered Churches": the interweaving of his personal view of French cathedrals with Ruskin's observations about them. It is interesting how one affects the other: Proust complements the quotes of the theorist with his descriptions, put in the position of an observer of human size, which feel like the whole book you sit on Proust's shoulder and listen him rambling about old cathedrals.

For now, my favorite episode is at the very beginning, when Proust walks along the facade of the cathedral in Lisieux, in the dark by touch, and his a friend turns on the headlights of the car and illuminates the walls as the writer moves

just generally trying to write a series of one shots on the secret history yet so far everything seems rather pointless. But I’m overall glad that I’ve started, cause I haven’t written anything since july 2022 and now really do not want to lose this ability again. I’m very happy to be able to write and think in english even though my grammat and vocabulary are dead now

Magister Craft

This channel began as an outlet for the Minecraft project I am working on which brought students to the classical word in the 3D environment afforded by Minecraft. However, my sights have shifted slightly to focus on the real goal of teaching Latin. I still use Minecraft for most videos, but it is more of a tool than an object of focus much the same way an artist might use oils one day and charcoal the next. Now, I am trying to introduce Latin to as many people as possible and teach something useful to those who subscribe.
