Hey Sherlockians, and also Granadians, I have something for you: ACD’s “A Scandal in Bohemia”, “Silver Blaze”, and “The Adventure of the Copper Beeches” as read by Edward Hardwicke. <3 Before you listen, I feel it’s necessary to tell you that at the beginning Ted dedicates his reading “to the memory of Jeremy Brett.” Do what you need to prepare your heart, and have tissues nearby. I haven’t listened to it all yet, but so far I can guarantee that you will LOVE his voice of the King of Bohemia, or your money back. (And do you recognize the pic I used?) ;)

Podcast going *in depth* on the Jeremy Brett / Edward Hardwicke stage play!!! 🎉
They've cleaned up the audio you may have heard before (on YouTube )
They describe the visuals that have been lost to time from crew interviews
They've included snippets of the crew telling backstage stories!
It was practically like being there!!
I know because I was lucky enough to actually see the play.

UPDATE: @ninasnakie asked if this was AI. I'm not sure if that means the whole play, but the the short answer is that if it was faked, it would have had better sound.
The recordings of the play (the best of which is on YouTube) were made by fans who snuck in their tape recorders, and the sound quality is pretty terrible.
So the podcaster (a reputable pro with a fantastic podcast - The Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes Podcast) used multiple copies to combine and cleaned it up manually and mentions in the second part that he did use AI to help clean it up, so you can make out what they're saying, and they have a really good discussion about that.
They didn't include all of the play audio, just key / most scenes and used crew interviews and descriptions / summaries in between. Even some of the key scenes are extremely difficult to hear even at maximum volume. I'm sure that a lot was completely useless.

Granada Holmes has me positively KICKING my feet what do you MEAN Holmes and Watson are goofballs. What do you MEAN they’re actually friends. I’m absolutely delighted with them they mean the world to me <333
I am absolutely in love with the dynamic in The Dancing Men. Holmes has been excited and enthralled by the case from the beginning so much so he's been sort of rude (more like cold) to their client. Watson has been giving explanations and sort of apologetic looks. He has pointed it out but never once he demanded Holmes to change the way he spoke to people.
And later on, when the client died and Holmes is still interested in solving the case but not so happy about not being able to prevent possibly two deaths. When they're interviewing the servants, Mrs King was visibly upset and Watson, very quietly and politely suggests to Holmes (in his ear) to ask her to sit down. And my favorite thing of all is that Holmes does it, no questions, no "this isn't necessary", nothing.
This is a perfect example of how beautifully they work together. And how well they know each other. Holmes is observant sure, he can find clues and decipher codes. But Watson is also observant of body language and facial expressions. And they both trust each other to know when they right in their respective fields.
Holmes isn't a rude person, he simply wasn't interested in that part of the case so he didn't notice Mrs King being upset. But the second Watson points it out, he fixes it. He corrects his behavior and shows sympathy. In the same way Watson trusts every deduction Holmes makes without questions.
I love them and I love how much of a partnership their relationship is.
Many adaptations have done this but they make Holmes be rude at Watson's "stupidity" for not realizing things that are obvious. And Watson be rude at Holmes' "indifference" towards people. But not Granada Holmes. They have done it absolutely perfectly :')
