I gotta admit that the "real" reason I'm back on the dash after almost a year is because I finally watched the first season of True Detective and it turns out, yes, I am still a sucker for Toxically Masculine Dudes™️ who intrinsically understand each other as a result of their shared trauma despite being polar opposites and annoying the living shit out of each other.

Hi! I was thinking about you and hope you’re well! Haven’t seen you update in quite awhile and I’m hoping your career has improved how you hoped it would and your mental health is strong. Did your furbaby surgery go well? I just went through that with dog Bart. He had a growth on his leg and they had to remove it and make sure it wasn’t cancer. Supposedly it wasn’t, but it looks like it’s coming back so the struggle is real. Well hope to see you pop up sometime soon. ☺️

My girl is doing okay! We actually just hit the one year mark for her one remaining kidney. She's gotten quite a bit slower this past year, but she also turned 12 in the fall - and she's just getting sweeter and snugglier by the day.

I'm still at the same job, and I did get promoted (!!) in the fall - still not quite as much money as I was hoping for (is it ever?) and I worked waaaaay too much last year (which is also part of the reason I've been MIA for so long). I also just got diagnosed with ADHD because I was realizing that work seemed to be way harder for me than it should be, and surprise 🙃 love learning fun new things about my entire life at 34!

Oh and I'm ~getting married~ in < 2 months, which is cool 😎 lots of life changes over the past year but yes, overall, my mentals are in a much better place than they were last year! Thank you for checking in 💕
