I used to think it would be fun to start a secret literary society here – the bookshop faces the main road but at the back, on this little street, there’s a university building hidden away in a terrace. The street looks like a row of houses with bay windows and balconies, but they’re actually seminar rooms and research facilities. These unassuming places are my favourites on campus :––)
