Last week I got a fantastic gift from my mother - a 1958 Royal Companion manual typewriter. The photo above isn’t MY typewriter specifically but it looks exactly the same. Mine even came with the original tweed case and the warranty card with the name of the original owner typed on it (Pat Bowersox). I love the tactile feel of the keys clicking and the sound of the bell DING just before I need to move to the next line.Typewriters don’t seem to get enough appreciation anymore but mine will get some use for sure.
