Hello I love your Poorly Drawn Pokédex and I assume you are going in order?? If not, I am humbly requesting Poorly Drawn Noibat/Noivern - or perhaps if you remember by the time you get there I could be tagged?? In any case, absolutely brightens my day to see your art!!!
I am going in order but may have a shiny Noibat for your time (I do not remember what Noibat looks like).
There's a subspecies of Noibat that mimics the color and patterning of a Yveltal in order to ward off any potential predators. But sometimes it backfires and actual Yveltal passing by mistake them as it's young, proceeding to take the little Noibat(s) along with them.

I know that we all love the Pokémon wildlife rehab/nature preserve/etc. headcanons, but my thought is that there would actually be less of that in the Pokémon world, simply due to how integrated and respected nature is there.

Pokemon Biology Headcanons: Mawile
(Is this really my first non-art post?? Oops. I've meant to do a lot more of these)
Usually I pester my more closed friend groups about my dumb niche interests, but I'm releasing them on the world by storm now. No one can stop me.
Share your videos with friends, family, and the world
Shoutout to that madman who made a video showcasing every animation of every single pokemon in Sycnchro mode in Scarlet and Violet
You are my hero, this is the best reference material in the world especially for walk animations
I love Wolfey's attitude of "you are the 7th pokemon in your team, if you're sick or exhausted theres no way you can win"
Assorted Pokemon headcanons
Samurott’s helmet-like shell has nerves inside it, so it can feel when someone’s touching it. Most domesticated Samurott enjoy being petted or brushed on the head.
They will also need a scratching post to rub their horn on, since the horn grows constantly. In the wild, they will sharpen the horn against rocks or driftwood.
Male and female Samurott look very similar, but the male has a longer mustache.
Similar to real-life geese and swans, wild Swanna are menaces to society. It’s highly recommended that people do NOT feed or approach them.
Domesticated and trained Swanna are okay around humans, though. However, they do tend to be territorial and will try to bite unfamiliar people.
Their pre-evolution, Ducklett, is a lot more docile, and thus easier to catch.
Deerling are somewhat skittish in the wild, but once they're caught, they quickly warm up to their Trainers. Since they're herd creatures, they require a lot of socializing.
Sawsbuck can be used as a ride Pokemon, but it takes a great deal of training. When riding a Sawsbuck, a Trainer should never use its antlers as hand grips. (Just like you would never pull a horse's mane.)
Like most cat Pokemon, Purrloin and Leopard often get the zoomies, especially at night.
Wild Litwick, Lampent, and Chandelure feed off the life forces of other creatures (both people and Pokemon). However, trained Litwick can be taught to drain the life energy from plants instead. Once its life force is absorbed, the plant will be dried up and perfect for using in tea or as a cooking herb.
Espeon, Sylveon, Umbreon, and Absol are common service Pokemon for people with anxiety disorders or other similar conditions.
Leafeon's leaves have sharp edges, which are used for defense in the wild. However, this does make grooming them difficult for first-time owners. One way to clean your Leafeon without getting cut is to just spray them down with a hose. (In fact, many Grass-type Pokemon enjoy this kind of "bath.")
Flareon is the only Eeveelution that actively avoids water. Instead, Flareon licks itself clean, like a cat.
It is possible for Unfezant to be gynandromorphic, or exhibit both male and female traits. Since their pre-evolutions do not have any visible gender differences, you won't be able to tell if a Pidove or Tranquill has this condition until it's fully evolved.
This condition can manifest itself in quite a few ways:
Stomach feathers are green on one side (male) and orange on the other side (female)
Shorter head plumes
A so-called "female" Unfezant having a crest
One half of the face has head plumes, the other half doesn't.
Not surprisingly, these Pokemon are popular with the LGBT community, along with Eevee and its evolutions.
Female Decidueye are larger than males.
Decidueye use their enormous wings to protect their young, much like a mother hen or plover.
Sometimes they also allow other small Pokemon to take shelter under their wings. They have even been documented doing this with human children as well.
When under threat, a Decidueye will fluff up its feathers and spread its wings to make itself appear larger and scarier, similar to the great horned owl’s threat display.
Headcanon: Types of Grooming
Pokémon grooming can largely be organized into three categories: for health, battle, or aesthetic concerns.
Random Headcanon: Greavard, despite common superstition, are not typically dangerous to keep and interact heavily with. This is not to say that they don't feed off the individuals around them- this is a trait seen in many ghost-types including the Honedge, Shuppet, and Sinistea lines- but that they do not typically do so the point of danger to healthy individuals. As with all pokemon of similar diets, individuals who live and/or interact daily with Greavard will have less energy and larger appetites than they would otherwise, and will have a harder time with such things as recovering from illness and injury, putting on weight, or becoming pregnant.
Still, care must be taken with this and similar pokemon. Experts recommend not keeping these pokemon in homes with children below the age of 8, or the elderly above 70. Individuals suffering from severe or chronic health concerns are also suggested to avoid sharing a home with Greavard and pokemon with similar diets if at all possible.
Most regions will have a registry of locations where, if necessary, these pokemon can be boarded longterm should circumstances must, which typically allowed regularly scheduled visits and video calls.
If boarding and/rehoming a Greavard specifically is undesirable or impossible, then it is recommended that the pokemon be evolved. This is one of several lines of pokemon whose diets shift with evolution, with Houndstone drawing their energy from the earth in which they bury themselves rather than the living beings around them, especially so from decay.
To ensure proper feeding, it's recommended that Houndstone be allowed unrestricted access to an area of soil at minimum 8 ft by 8 ft in dimension and 4 ft deep, which should be heavily composted.
Greavard, meanwhile, should be allowed a 3 ft by 3 ft by 3 ft area of substrate at minimum. This won't do anything for their diet, and can in fact be anything from soil to sand to a ball pit, but will greatly improve comfort and minimize stress.
Small pokemon theory/headcanon
You know how pikachu's mascot statis leds to special treatment for games mechaniacs and such? What if the in universe explaination was Red.
The Light Ball (a held item only pikachu can use) makes its earliest appearance in the games when the starter pikachu from Yellow is transfered to gen 2. It's also held by Red's pikachu from HGSS onwards.
Maybe the reason he doesn't use pikachu in Alola's Battle Tree is because he discovered two pikachu exclusive Z-moves, and it was deemed unfair for him to use them.
Maybe he feed his team Max Soup in Galar, and discovered Gigantamax Pikachu.
Just Red regularly discovering new ways to make pikachu OP because he likes battling with them.
Dark type pokemon get bored really easily, so it’s important to keep them involved in what you’re doing. The two Poochyena my parents own tore through their wall once when they first got them and my Nickit still has a bad habit of stealing things from me. They need a lot more attention put into them when you first get them so make sure you're putting in the work for your dark type pokemon.
You almost have to specialize in dragon types to train one successfully. Of course, there are a few outliers that are easier than others (the Applin line, the Goomy line, and Tatsugiri), but the vast majority of them are way too stubborn and require a vast and intense training regime that many can’t provide. The easiest way to train one (if you’re new) is to raise one from birth.
Random thing I thought of while messing in the Isle of Armor.
The uniform numbers on major characters in Pokemon Sword and Shield are based on puns, right? Well, I had an idea. Take these as a grain of salt since I don't really know Japanese or goroawase but I'm trying my hand at it with access to a couple dictionaries and a letter-to-number chart:
Since Rose competed in the League I figure his number could've been 180 or 186 both for 茨 or いばら or ibara (rose bush / thorns). Alternately it could've been 7210 前途 zento (future prospects / journey ahead) because of that 1000 years nonsense.
If Leon had one that wasn't 1 for top champion, it could be 458 for 蒲公英 hokoukei (dandelion) (because his name is Dande in OG and Leon in English) or 6372 for リザードン lizardon (Charizard).
Mustard could've had 7271 for 先生 (sensei or master/teacher) in the same way as Peony's was about his own future.
Examples from canon below the cut of what I'm talking about:
I like to think that Trevenants sometimes act more child-like when around their trainers since y'know. It's pre-evolution is the spirit of a dead child and all.
yes your Trevenant still won't eat sandwiches if it has the crusts still on, and yes it WILL require a bedtime story every night. lil Timmy wants a story >:(
