Video Game Idea: A game with a character creator where you can choose what accent your character has from a variety of options.
The Year is 2126
Some Politician: Listen, World War Six could start at any moment. We need to negotiate a truce befo-
The President: Fuck it *presses the button that nukes Antarctica*
Do you guys ever have a great idea for a fan project, but you don't have the skills to implement it or the time and dedication to obtain those skills?
Anyway, during my Splatoon phase (I haven't played the game in like two years but I still want to share), I had a had a really cool idea for a time skip AU.
Basically, at some point, Little Buddy (who human level intelligence in this fan project because the "Salmonids are more animalistic" thing is the dumbest part of Splatoon lore) finds out about Neo 3's job as an employee at Grizzco (ideally eggsecutive VP for extra angst potential). (The idea I had in my head for this was him leaving their house during a Big Run and seeing her gunning down Salmonids during a Grizzco shift).
Heartbroken and scared for his life he runs away. At some point he runs into some Salmonid soldiers that bring him back to his old home in the Salmonid Spawning Grounds. Half of the people he knew before are dead, and pretty much all of them were killed by Grizzco workers. At this point, he needs to hide his past because Salmonids who befriend members of societies that the Salmonids are at war with are considered traitors and locked up for life (lord knows what punishment living amongst them could get you).
Fast forward 15 years. Little Buddy has grown up and abandoned that name for the one he had before he got separated from his troop as a kid. He has become a soldier in the Salmonid military.
Tbh I'm not a skilled enough writer to decide what happens next but I have some ideas.
Idea #1: Little Buddy learns how to turn into a Huge Fry at will and becomes a Boss Salmonid.
Idea #2: He encounters Neo 3 on the battlefield.
Idea #3: The war between Salmonids and Inkling societies gets worse and he gets wrapped up in an all out attack on Splatsville, and the place reminds him of memories he would rather forget.
You have my permission to use this plot in your fan projects btw. I know that I will never get around to it. I would prefer if you credit me though.
Crazy Splatoon Fan Theory: It's Commonplace for Militaries in Inkling Societies to Recruit (and Possibly Draft) Teenagers as Young as 14-Years-Old (Reposted from my Reddit Account)
Piece of Evidence 1: Child Soldiers are Common in Splatoon
The Octarian military does not hesitate to recruit 14-year-olds who they train from an even younger age, as shown by Agent 8's age in Octo Expansion and Marina's backstory. Meanwhile, the Salmonids go even further by recruiting smallfries, who appear to be Salmonid children. Although these societies are separate from Inkling societies, this shows that the normalization of child soldiers is something that can be and has been accomplished in the world of Splatoon.
Piece of Evidence 2: Agent 3, Agent 4, and Neo 3 don't Seem Surprised When Offered to Join the New Squidbeak Splatoon
Agent 3, Agent 4, and Neo 3 don't seem surprised to be given the opportunity to join the New Squibeak Splatoon despite being 14-years-old at the time of their recruitment.* This reaction would make a lot more sense if the concept of 14-year-old soldiers seemed normal to them as members of Inkling societies which would require a normalization of such recruits in said societies. To be fair, this can explained by them being generic silent protagonists. However, I do think that it is worth mentioning given this theory's preposition (plus overthinking seemingly innocuous stuff is half the fun of fan theories).
Piece of Evidence 3: Nobody Seems to Care that Grizzco Hires People as Young as 14-Years-Old
Grizzco Industries is essentially a for profit military organization. The company recruits people to fight battles against entire armies of Salmonids. In addition, most of their employees are young teenagers. This includes Agent 4, who was recruited by Grizzco during the events of Splatoon 2 despite only being 14 at the time. This is worth mentioning as nobody seems to care that Grizzco is hiring kids as young as 14 to essentially become soldiers. In the games, there are no signs of criticism towards this aspect of Grizzco's hiring practices as there is an absence of all types of retaliation and backlash from whistleblowers to simple insults. At most, Grizzco is considered a shady business, but this could easily be due to Mr. Grizz's secret plans to cause the apocalypse and the company's usage of illegal weapons that violate safety regulations.
Conclusion
This fan theory is one I have been thinking about for a while. In fact, I haven't played Splatoon for a while, but I still wanted to share this theory so it wouldn't just stay in my head forever. This theory is cool because it provides a canon explanation for Splatoon's usage of the trope of the underage protagonist common in kids' games rather than just chocking it up to "It's a kid's game. What did you expect?"
This theory, like most fan theories, is probably not canon. Oh well. At least it would make a good fanfiction idea if any of you want to utilize it (you have my permission).
*(Neo 3 does not have a canon age. However, considering that the only other protagonists in the franchise were 14-years-old when first playable, it would make sense for her to be the same age. Even if she is not, the ages of Agent 3 and Agent 4 still make this piece of evidence apply).

Ngl I love action movies solely because of their fight scenes. I could watch abysmal dogshit and enjoy it as long as the fight scenes are good and plentiful. I once watched a fanmade web series with terrible voice acting, sound mixing, and a mid story where my favorite character was so out of character he might as well have been a different guy. However, the fight scenes were badass so I loved it and plan to watch the rest when it comes out.
They could recast Keanu Reeves with Jerma985 for a John Wick prequel with an $1,500 budget and I would be sitting in a chair at the movie theater eating popcorn as long as I can still watch guys beat each other up and look cool while doing it.
"I may not have a brain, gentlemen, but I have an idea." -B.O.B. from Monsters vs Aliens (2009).
I thought of this crack ship while in a half asleep stupor despite no longer being part of the Kirby fandom. What do you guys think?
Frankly, I like this idea more if Galacta Knight is portrayed as an actual threat instead of a harmless guy who was sealed away for no good reason. They're more alike if they're both killers.
