I think I would consider antis' talking points more, if the majority of them weren't clearly hypocrites.

Almost all of the ones I've encountered were drawn to a media that made money off of something they claimed they hated.

They don't like adult x "minor" ships? They're gushing about Cardcaptor Sakura.

They don't like "kids" being sexualized? Black Butler and/or South Park are their favorite shows.

Incest? Game of Thrones and mythology. "Problematic" ships and dark themes? Hannibal. Pokemon's made comments about humans and pokemon being "close" once or twice but there's a lot of people who act like you just did things to their rabbit if you make a slight NSFW joke about Lopunny.

So despite claiming to care about these topics, they're making obvious exceptions for the rich. They're letting people get away with these things because they made something they like. Antis are either saying that they can be easily bribed into looking the other way or they don't realize these shows/books/games/ect are doing the things they claim to hate because anything less than an in-your-face-hammer-it-home-until-your-face-is-caved-in afterschool special is too subtle for them.

Everytime I see an anti loudly talking about a "problematic" person, 90% of the time they like some big thing that makes money off of the same thing the person they're trying to cancel is doing. It gives the impression that it's not about morals, they just don't like that what the little person made doesn't cater to their exact tastes. It feels like it's not about trying to protect others from harmful things, it's trying to get rid of a romance book because it was between rivals in the same company instead of rivals working in competing corporations.

Or, again, that maybe when Kyle gave Cartman a blowjob it somehow wasn't obvious enough. Or maybe they're like the religous people and politicans who denounce LGBTQ+ people but turn out to be involved with someone they rallied people against.

Either way, how can I think it's about protecting people? If you have a cause you don't get to say "but it's okay when these people do it", especially when those people just get away with the exact same things just because they're wealthy or you can't see that they're doing the same thing as your "enemies". Being a hypocrite isn't going to help people.

There's only two issues with blocking tags, either they don't even tag the particular ship or problematic content or they'll use generic tags which makes blocking tags to avoid it impossible.

That doesn't just apply to triggering things but I also see it with ships I just casually don't care for.

Plz tag your content properly not everyone is comfortable or likes the same things in fiction you like.

Proship culture is believing we won't get anywhere continuously trying to prove things to anti's and that all we need to do is show and not tell. Just block the bullies and post whatever we want instead of responding to what they say. If they care to know they could see for themselves that finding something interesting in fiction ≠ being a sexual predator.

I've been thinking about this for a while now we should just post stuff we like. The label "proship" makes things harder for everyone you should just tag things correctly like we used to do before this.

Proship and profic is about a stance but people (myself included) use it when posting art and that's like. The reason many antis say "oh yeah proship is "problematic" because they only put #proship on weird ships and not the "normal" ones"

It also just cuts off a portion of the potential audience who has both #proship and #anti proship blocked...

That's the "DNIs are useless" thing all over again.

It should be about courtesy and respect (ship and let ship, your thing is not my thing and that's ok (or whatever) tagging and "just use the block button") and not about morals and being in the right or in the wrong
