essek thought he was playing 5D chess and then a group of weirdos showed up out of nowhere and started making random fucking moves and next thing he knows he’s been checkmated. like imagine youre  a world champion chess player, a Prodigy, and you go to a park to play and a group of little kids comes over and just starts moving pieces and all of a sudden they’re kicking your ass. that’s what happened with essek and the mighty nein
