But it was soon apparent that she was kidding about the tampons and didn’t actually need him to escort her, red-faced, through the feminine hygiene aisle, so he easily fell into step with her and looked a little more relaxed as he combatted the rest of her gentle teasing along the way. The apartment thankfully didn’t hold any particularly nasty surprises when they arrived; no immediate evidence of toxic trash-hoarding or cockroach infestations or any flagrantly illegal activities, anyway. His first impression was a slapdash but still adequately livable space for a teenager.

Completely unprepared for Trucy’s home-arriving ritual, however, he couldn’t contain his loud, horrified “AUGHHHHHH” at the sight of her undergarments flying across the room, and he threw his hands over his face. And he thought seeing her wave around her Magic Panties was bad.

“T-Trucy–!”

“P-please… curb your enthusiasm.” He was also guilty of immediately de-pantsing when he got home, but he also lived alone and had the modesty to avoid gleefully undressing in front of guests. Even while he was shielding his eyes, his face was clearly red up to his ears, and his loud outburst quickly diminished into embarrassed mumbling. “Can I go one day without having to look at a fifteen-year-old’s underwear… please…?”

   [ trucy doesn't really understand apollo's reaction at first, mostly because she has her back to him. she turns around when he speaks, frowning. he's certainly tomato red at this point, though she thinks his reaction is probably a little over the top. seriously, dude? ]         [ but then she gets it. ] Ohhh, right.

        Honestly, Polly, you're acting like I stripped naked in front of you. Though I guess I should have let you know I take my bra off the moment I get home. [ she's a little too used to phoenix not caring about undergarments flying across the apartment when she gets home. whoops. ]

    [ but she still fetches her bra from the back of the couch it landed on to spare apollo's delicate sensibilities from anything further. ]

      Anyway, make yourself at home. Gonna change out of my uniform then do my homework. Bathroom's there if you wanna change. [ she gestures to the door across the apartment from her room, before disappearing. ] And let me know when you're hungry, I guess. [ she was going to order take out, but she'll wait until the guest is ready for dinner. ]

trucy was involved in the two instances of forged evidence shown in the series, both involving phoenix wright in some way.

the first was when she was eight and her birth father was on trial for murder. though she didn’t know it, trucy was given a forged page for her grandfather’s diary, and told to give it to phoenix, the defense attorney. while a smart little kid, she genuinely thought she was helping by passing along the diary page to the man defending her father. she found out later why phoenix was disbarred, and is still extremely guilty about it to this day (though it’s waned recently with phoenix getting his badge back).

the second was with the fifth ace, when phoenix was on trial. trucy knew very little of the case originally, but was able to get enough out of phoenix to realize what had happened. she knew immediately that shadi smith was her birth father, and the realization that her birth father was dead and she could very easily lose her adopted one was what prompted her to forge the fifth ace. she used her own blood to create the stain on the card, and made sure it was passed on to phoenix’s attorney in that trial. originally, she thought it was kristoph, who she suspected wasn’t all that good, and if she could she’d frame him for forcing her to forge the evidence. ultimately it was apollo--she didn’t mean to put his badge in danger. she was only trying to save the only family she had left.

phoenix ultimately covered for her when apollo figured out the card was a fake. he gave trucy a very harsh dressing down when he got home, the worst he’d been since he adopted her. she promised to make it up somehow, or to take the ultimate fall should it ever come to light.

did they travel? where? why? when?

aside from her surprise trip to khura’in, trucy had never left the us. she had been to almost every state, though, as while troupe gramarye was based in los angeles, they did a lot of travelling shows. this was all before the gramarye trial, so she was pretty young and doesn’t remember quite a bit of it.

how do they relate to their appearance? how do they wear their clothing? style? quality?

if she had the funds, she would dress up in exactly all the clothes she wants, in almost a pastel aesthetic. i would describe it a little more as pastel punk, with plenty of darker colors thrown in.

trucy is aware that she’s attractive, as stated before, and she’s typically very good about keeping her appearance nice looking. she was somehow blessed with skin that didn’t break out too much (though she had several bad acne days) so in general her face routine isn’t extensive. she doesn’t wear tons of make up, either

how does your character react to stress situations? defensively? aggressively? evasively?

as shown when she was being held hostage in the gyaxa space center, trucy is actually very calm under pressure. she’s a performer, after all, and often does what she can to seem unaffected by things. part of this stems from her need to make sure everyone around her is happy, and how she strives to keep an optimistic atmosphere.

what does your character want most? what do they need really badly, compulsively? what are they willing to do, to sacrifice, to obtain?

ultimately, she wants the gramarye name to be brought back into the light. almost a renaissance, if you will. she questioned it once, before apollo came into her life, questioned if she really wanted to be a magician still. but after a lot of reflecting, she decided that it really was what she truly wanted.

she’ll give up a lot, once troupe gramarye gets back to the spotlight. she’ll be gone a lot, most likely, travelling here and there. maybe even go international. she’ll miss having one stable home. she’ll have to give up being tied to one place, which she has grown so used to. she’s not sure if she wants that just yet.

but, in general, she is already doing all she can to reach her goal. she’s quitting school once she graduates from high school, but would be willing to take classes at a community college if need be. she is spending practically every waking moment practicing or doing a show.

their mother? what do they think of her? what do they hate? love? what influence - literal or imagined - did the mother have?

trucy does not remember thalassa very well. at most, she remembers a soft, warm smile, and a sense of warmth and safety. thalassa “died” when trucy was very young, and her memories of her mother are very minimal. all she knows is that her mother was, supposedly, a very good person.

did they like school? teachers? schoolmates?

trucy has learned to hate public schools. she was homeschooled while with troupe gramarye because of how much they travelled, and when she started living with phoenix she went to public school. she was kind of ridiculed there, and thought of as not as smart. even if she will probably graduate as salutatorian, none of her peers or her teachers will think of her as really normal.

she doesn’t need school friends, though. she has the agency and bonny and betty and vera and jinxie.

are they holding on to something in the past? can he or she forgive?

trucy isn’t naturally one to hold grudges, but she does hold on to things. the biggest thing is her birth father, zak enigmar. she’s never quite forgiven him for abandoning her, and it only started to really sting when she found about his death. she hopes that she can maybe have closure about it some day, but she’s still unsure about what to say.

trucy is almost always cheerful--outwardly, she rarely lets her guard down in public, and not many see her vulnerable. but she’s getting there.

how is their sense of humor? do they have one?

trucy is pretty good-natured, and her sense of humor is pretty close to what you might call normal. she laughs a lot, because plenty is genuinely funny to her.

do they want to project an image of a younger, older, more important person? does they want to be visible or invisible?

trucy is well aware of how much she can get away with by acting younger than she actually is. she often plays up her youthful appearance with people she doesn’t know. she also knows she can get away with a lot when dealing with boys; she knows that she’s conventionally attractive, and she will use that to her advantage when she can and when it’s not manipulative. (she is not a manipulative person, but she’ll push the limit as far as she can sometimes)

what about voice? pitch? strength? tempo and rhythm of speech? pronunciation? accent?

her voice is on the higher end of normal for girls her age; she almost always sounds upbeat as well, and while she speaks quickly, it’s not so fast that she can’t be understood.
