“Because Letty lied to me. That’s the difference.” His hand clenched into a fist for a second and then released, trying to overcome the anger he felt deep inside. His jaw locked, eyes glaring at her as she took another step towards him, poking him, annoying him. “If anything would have happened it would have been because you’re an inexperienced little girl trying to play war.”
She raised her hands in defeat. she had grown so strong in the war but fighting with James, the one person she had felt completely herself around, was tearing down whatever strength she had gone into this stupid trip with. She should have declined the invitation. “I wasn’t playing, I was there. It wasn’t a glamorous little play that I was trying my hand out on acting. I fought, I trained. I wasn’t playing war, I was fighting it because I felt like I had no choice.” she said trying to explain herself again, but it was futile. His anger towards her was going no where and she was sick of standing here and being insulted. “you know what.” she said exasperated at this point. “forget it, forget everything, not that you really need to try that hard. and go acquaint yourself with a cactus!”
