Welcome to my Greedler blog! I just couldn’t resist, I’ve been wanting to make one for a while. I might post Onceler stuff here but it’s mostly Greed! I will be posting suggestive content here so be warned for that, more info* about that below.

This is both a fan blog and a character blog for Greedler so there’ll be content in character (tagged as #greed.txt) and content out of character (tagged as #ooc)! I will answer asks as The Greedler if you specify that it’s meant for him! Though keep in mind that I’m aromantic and romance repulsed so more romantic asks will take longer to answer depending on comfort level, and some might end up being deleted. I also might not answer more suggestive asks if they’re anon because I’ll have no way of knowing whether you’re in my comfortable age range or not. You might get a surprise message from Greed on asks meant for me, and some art on occasion too!

I have a new AU for the Lers!!!!

Onceler and Greedler are the same person but from different universes where they made different choices. 

Onceler didn’t end up selling his thneed and did something else instead, like opening an online shop where he sells blankets and sweaters and all things knitted. He makes a liveable wage because his shop is very popular, only due to the fact that he’s hot and people like that he posts pics of himself with the products so they buy him out a lot. I love him so much. He usually doesn’t get complaints even if he does mess up an order because people don’t really care, they just wanna buy something a hot person made. 

Greedler sold his thneed and eventually almost fucked up the whole ecosystem because he got greedy. He EVENTUALLY listened to the Lorax RIGHT before it was too late and worked with a bunch of recruited townsfolk from Greenville (which is what Thneedville was canonically called before Thneeds) and fixed up the area. Greedler then vowed to never let his greed get the best of him again. But he still wants to be a ceo. And he also keeps the dubbed “Greedler” name and eventually changes it legally because he thinks it’s cool and it also reminds him of his vow.

Greedler doesn’t give a matching machine to an of the other Onceler’s He doesn’t really like any of his other selves except that one particular Onceler, the rest are insufferable TO HIM AT LEAST I think that’s a good way to bring in all the other Onceler ask blogs and stuff, like they’re all the same guy who ended up in different places and changed their name depending on their profession which is really cute Onceler is the only one who didn’t change his name (to Greed’s knowledge at least, maybe there are some others)

I like the idea that instead of his toxic family leaving him, HE leaves THEM. Because in the movie he still hasn’t realized that they are toxic, he’s still holding onto the hope that they do love him and that’s honestly really sad. I just want things to be good for him and I want him to have that moment where he gets to kick them out and never go back. I really want him to just break free from the bad shit and finally feel some self worth and be a new man. 

You know?? Like giving him an au where he realizes things are wrong and fixes them is less about making him “less evil” and more about giving him a chance at a good life. 

He spends the rest of his life in that movie ALONE IN A CABIN IN A FOREST OF HIS OWN MISTAKES and he lives in that forever. He doesn’t get a chance to fix things and he doesn’t get a redo button. He just has to live with the fact that everyone who he loved left him and that he made a huge, almost irreversible mistake. One that he himself couldn’t possibly fix. He had to wait until some stupid kid came along to fix it for him. I want him to have a good life with good friends and a chance to fix a mistake that he otherwise couldn’t fix. I want him to be happy and loved, that’s all.

Everything is going according to plan!!! The smog and smoke is clearing up because of these trees, I’m able to give them water from the lake now instead of having to take a trip every three days to get more water for them, and the fish are thriving! The lake still isn’t ready for any other kinds of fish yet but it’s getting there! Once it’s all done, I’ll be taking these fish back to their home.

Did you know that rats love being tickled? Tickling to rats is a way of play for them. It's healthy for them and even important for them to maintain health.

In other news, I think that it's vital you understand how important you are, darling. Think of everyone you know, and remember that not only do you know them, but they know you in return, and they appreciate you in some way.

There are probably even people that you don't know who appreciate you. Maybe someone who's trying to get the courage to say hi to you because they'd like to be your friend. Maybe a cashier who thought you had a nice style or attitude. Maybe an old friend who still thinks about you in a positive way, or even one who wishes they knew how to apologize to you. Every single person you've helped probably thinks about that time you helped them and smiles, even if you don't have contact anymore.

What I'm trying to say here is that you matter. You matter to me, you matter to everyone who's met you in some way, you matter to everyone who's helped you or you've helped, you matter to people who look at you and smile while passing you by, you matter period. And you're worthy of affection in whatever way you want it, and if you're not getting that right now then one day you will.

The way he’s looking into the camera does not help me figure out which one it is, it could genuinely be either way. The added American flag makes it all the more confusing. I’m truly stumped.

I would look it up but I also don’t want to know? I feel like the mystery is a key part of the experience of this song.
