I only have two tattoos at this time, but I'm not done gettin them. My first is the Zia sun, it symbolizes the Circle of Life: four winds, four seasons, four directions, and four sacred obligations. The circle binds the four elements of four together. I got it when one of my best friends and I took a road trip to New Mexico. We both got the Zia sun, and were even given a blessing by a member of the Pueblo community (it is apparently bad juju to use this symbol without permission of the Pueblo people).

My second is a honeybee. One of my nicknames from my family for me is Honeybee. I wanted to include triangles with my piece and a local artist put this beauty together for me. I love looking st it 🤩🤩🤩

One thing I love are rings. I have so many scattered through all my jewel boxes but these 4 have been my favorites for many years.

¤ Thumb ring is my Kokopeli ring I bought my first day moving to college. I took a walk from my dorm room to the town and fell in love with the shop I found this ring in.

¤ Pointer finger is my labradorite ring I purchased with a friend after we got a sudden urge to buy gemstone rings. At the time I was feeling an awakening of my own awareness of my inner spirit and this ring jumped right out at me.

¤ Middle finger is my peridot. It evoked the late wss of summer and the onset of fall, my favorite seasons! It is associated with the sun, and I have always worshipped Ra, the ancient Egyptian deity of the sun. This stone also honors Pele, the Hawaiian Goddess of fire and volcanoes, and I just so happened to be born in Hawaii!

¤ Ring finger is a sterling silver band with a feather wrapped around. One of my nicknames since birth is Birdie, and I'll always love and be amazed by birds.

One of my favorite spots in my city. This cemetary seems almost endless with the sea of headstones and walking trails.

These pictures were taken the day after I put down my Balinese kitty. I spent hours walking and quietly reflecting on her loss and the way life had been going at that time. I'm going back when spring has moved in more to spread her ashes in the rich greenery by a beautifu duck pond 🖤
