If rescue comes in the s3 finale then my guess is that there was more than 8 survivors, because, although I suspect there will be more than one hunt, they aren’t going to kill off 6 characters in one episode, especially not well developed fan favourites like Mari and Akilah. I reckon they survive and something happens to them after they get back. There’s been a couple of mentions of “what we did when we got back” and Melissa said she faked her suicide to get away from Shauna which could mean Shauna killed one or more survivor and Melissa set up this suicide because she knew the killing didn’t end when they got rescued.

Okay, hear me out: Shauna isn’t just unhinged, she’s possessive and power-hungry—and the show has made that crystal clear. I think that possessiveness will continue with Melissa, despite their public breakup which was rooted in jealousy over Melissa and Hannah talking. Shauna wants control, especially over the people she’s decided are hers, and when that control appears to be slipping? She spirals.

I can’t shake the feeling that Gen is going to be next on Shauna’s hit list. Melissa’s likely to fall back into her bond with Gen and Shauna is not going to be able to handle it. I can 100% see her watching Melissa and Gen reconnect and then lashing out about it.

Which brings me to pit girl. If it’s not Hannah (which… jury’s still out), I really think it could be Gen—and Shauna’s jealousy over Melissa and Gen might be what sets it in motion. Shauna sees Gen as the reason Melissa doesn’t come back to her and so Shauna singles Gen out, maybe to hurt Melissa even further.

It sucks because I love Genlissa. But let’s be real: Shauna doesn’t want anyone to be happy since she’s incapable of being happy herself.
